Still NO Tokidoki Bags at the LeSportsac Sample Sale
I just wasted my lunch hour and subway fare to bring you this very special report: there are still no Tokidoki bags at the sample sale, and there probably won’t be any more offered for sale there. The line was ENORMOUS when I got there, at least a 30 minute wait, so I stopped a woman coming out from the sale and asked her about Tokidoki bags. She said there were still none out, and that it sounded like there probably wouldn’t be any more for sale. I guess they all sold at the VIP Preview on Wednesday. I’m so sad!
UPDATE: A friend also went to the sale this evening, there were still no Tokidoki bags, and she was told that there would not be any more Tokidoki bags at the sale. There were 3 boxes of Tokidoki bags for the VIP preview sale on Wednesday, and that was it. ![]()

As I mentioned in the previous post, I was there bright and early as they opened to the public and there was nothing Tokidoki to be found (other thans some Qee figures). There was a tiny shipment sent, which I’m sure was swapped up by the VIP attendees and maaaaybe the first few people in the door today.
I’ll stick with buying online.

if you are thinking of going to the lesportsac sample sale and looking for tokidoki bags, do not bother! they have none. ZIPPPO!! what a waste of my precious time. I waited on line for close for 45 minutes today and they had nothing i wanted. all i wanted was one or two tokidoki bag, all they had was junk. old bags that they wanted to get rid of. I think they want to get you into the door to buy all their unwanted styles. The line to pay was even longer. I asked the ppl on line to pay and they said they have been waiting on the pay line for 20 minutes. Those werent even near the cashier. I was so upset, i just left. I heard they had some, but they were all bought on May 2nd, the VIP sale not open to the public. We are getting the leftovers. What a waste of my time.

hi, i live in brooklyn and work/go to school near the 18th street sample sale. a couple of my friends mentioned it, so we went on wednesday evening…which i guess was the VIP event?
i’m hardly a VIP, and they were letting in anybody who knew to show up. if you care to read my story of the event, i wrote it all out here:

Lizz, your story is hilarious, especially this line:
“she turns to me and HANDS ME THE BAG AND I JUST ABOUT PEED MYSELF”

i got to the vip sale on wed like 20 minutes after it started.
all tokidoki was gone…a coupld hours later, they brought out like 3 suitcases/a box(6) slingbags, and that was it. i got my hands on a slingbag but when it was still priced at 135, i decided it was a no-no.

I was there Thurs and got rejected from line.
Scoop:
there was a VIP only on WED where most of the Tokidoki’s probably went.
Thrus- first 50 people might’ve seen/touched a Toki
Friday- Afternoon there was a report of one box that got snatched up real quick.
Saturday- no signs
Sunday- ??
my guess is anyone associated with the people working there already got dibbs on it and refuse to release it.
Funny Moment: There was one girl who made the gravity defying dive into one pattern with lost of comic book styled charachters on it. To her dismay it turned out to be The OC collection from 2 years ago. lol Betchu she thought it was a toki just lying there with no one noticing….

I went back again on Sat, to pick up a non-toki bag for a good friend for Mother’s day. Turns out even the pattern I wanted for her (pink city scene with poodles)was gone (except for a ridiculously priced, undiscounted makeup bag). I waited on the credit card paying line about 20 minutes with that, a leopard print sling bag and 3 Qees (pink cat, green dog and a silver bear). I got disgusted, put back the bags and paid cash for the Qees ($2 a piece). Cheap, but not worth the hour wait downstairs and the 20 minute wait upstairs.
I had much better luck at Century 21, Macy’s and Loemann’s where I picked up Toki bags at each location (at steep discounts, cheaper than the sample sale!!). Now I have 5 bags I am happy with (4 different Toki patterns and one pretty non-toki with hearts).
I’ll never do a sample sale again, its so much easier to just find stuff in the stores.

I agree with you, dee! I have found much better deals than the sample sale would have had in stores and online anyway. Sorry to everyone who wasted their time there - hopefully much better deals await us!

I see an increased amount of the Original 1st print of the tokidoki line on ebay. Are these bags to be trusted?
