Before I post this link, let me note that this is not my auction, nor do I know the seller. That said, there is a Famiglia Scuola up on eBay. It looks different than I was expecting – the background color looks more greyish than tan, and the dots are a lot bigger than I thought they would be. I like it – what does everyone else think?
It just isn’t colorful or splashy enough for me. Then again, I’m not a huge fan of the Scuola.
I really want to see it in real life to judge the colors. I know I’ll buy one, lol!
Whoa.. from my laptop it looked as though the flash from the camera washed out some of the print, but now that I’m on my desktop the pictures look much more clear.
Anyhow, I’m still undecided on this print. I think it’s because it just doesn’t catch my attention like Transporto and Vacanze. Perhaps it’s a bit too mild for me, I’m a sucker for the super-character-oriented prints.
i’m really surprised by the size of the dots. :/ i was going to get this print on a smaller bag because i thought the dots were going to be smaller. now i’m at a bit of a loss.
i wouldn’t be surprised if it were fake…it looks a little on the cheapo side…

if the dots are really that big then i like it; i didn’t care for the little tiny ones. this way you actually get to see the characters inside. i’m not sold on the colors though. my three favorite bag styles are the gioco, campeggio, and canguro. compared to the prints that i have already in those styles, i don’t know if i would carry this print all that often.
hmm.. i also thought the dots were a lot smaller, but i actually like them that size! ill also have to rethink what to get since they ARE bigger, but thats alright. and it looks tan to me, not grayish at all so i dont know whats up there..
Wow the dots are bigger than I expected. I like seeing them in their own spot for a change… didn’t do much of a double take like I did with the other prints, but I like it =)

Like everyone said, the dots look much bigger. I hate to say this about TokiDoki, but I really dislike this print. Will probably snag one of the smaller bags in this print only.
It’s plain but still cute. All of the packed scenes make Tokidoki different from other bags. I could get this or the vacanze. Famiglia is too tame and vacanze is too busy.
I do like the dots being bigger so that you can see the characters in them clearly. Not too bad, not as cluttered as the previous prints. I will definately get my hands on at least one of it .
But I must admit that the bag looks really Fake to me….. and the workmanship of this bag seem to be quite poor
I want to know what about it makes people say it looks fake. Nothing about it looks fake to me.
What makes it seem fake to me is that there is no clear picture of the qee, just a small picture of him on his side, you can’t even see his whole little body. I don’t really trust that at all. Anyone selling tokidokis should probably know that is important.
I also think the stitching looks shoddy, and the straps just look junky.
There must be others out there who think it looks crappy because it’s only at 55.99 and there is only one day left.
In light of the comments about the look of the bag in the auction – has anyone noticed a change in the quality of Tokidoki bags in general from the Pirata print onwards? I think the nylon feels more stiff and crunchy and that the zippers are stiffer on the later print bags.

hmm…. I don’t really notice a quality difference between my spiaggia and inferno bags… I thought le sportsac supposedly use their propriety nylon which is rip- and water-resistant… wouldn’t that mean the material is probably consistent with all the other le sportsac bags, whether they be toki or not?
the size of the dots… I really hope that it will be smaller… like half the size, such that the final print will be approx 12″x12″ (judging from the swatch released earlier), and not 24″x24″ as I deduce from that ebay auction!
All tokidoki bags have riri on the underside of the zipper if the seller does not want to send a picture of this SHOP WITH CAUTION. (All my tokidoki purses have this)
I love the new print will have to buy a buon viaggio and caramella.
just to comment on the EBay seller who listed the first “famiglia” print…i do not believe it to be authentic. my first hesitation would be that this print has yet to be released in the U.S and this person is selling it WAY bellow cost. also, if you go and see this persons other auctions (and there are soooooo many) you will notice that most if not ALL other tokidoki items were sold BELOW market value.
I think the photos are “intentionally” blurry.
where does this person get his/her merchandise from???
“somewhere” in the United States….i would rather wait and buy from a reputable location….also, i will wait till it reaches an outlet as i am not crazy for this print and will not pay full price….
I emailed the seller. I told her I was interested in the bag but concerned about it’s authenticity. If she only got ONE to sell on eBay why is it not one of the more popular styles?
Her reply is that she lives near the tokidoki distribution facility in Kentucky (or was it Tennessee) and she gets her stuff from there. (I’m guessing she actually WORKS there). If you check out her other auctions the stuff all looks real but it’s unusual prints/styles. A Bianco Zucca, a Notte Gioco, not the stuff that is really really popular. If you are gonna fake stuff you fake the popular stuff that will sell..
i emailed her too and asked where she found the bag, she said “Its been awhile since I’ve had any Lesportsac handbags so I’m not up to date as to whats new prints and whats not but over the weekend I was at the right place at the right time. I’ve always been very lucky when it came to finding items to list. Thanks very much for the info.” thats an exact quote. so i dunno bout this one…. too fishy!
i emailed her asking how she got the print so early and id i could see some pictures and she never emailed me back…..
I think the bag is fake too, especially after seeing the China pictures.
The bag retails for about $200 yet she’s selling a print that hasn’t been released yet for around $50.
The pictures are questionable and I’m especially suspicious of the one pic with the Quee on its side instead of full front so we can see the star on the arm (if it has one). I would think by now legit dealers would know what we’re looking for when we’re looking at Tokidoki bags.
Also, the bag looks wayyyy different from the preview pic posted here a while ago. I wouldn’t touch that auction with a ten foot pole.

I got my Famiglia bag today (!) and wanted to report back. The background is definitely tan, not gray at all like it appeared in the ebay picture. However, the dots ARE larger than we all seemed to expect based on the first preview pic. I’d say they are about the size of a fifty cent piece, certainly bigger than a quarter. I got a Stellina as I’d planned and am really happy with it.
For those in Chicago: I got it at A. Okay Official at Clark/Aldine. They’ve received only part of their order. I remember also seeing a bambinone, a couple campeggios, a zucca, a diaper bag and another stellina. There may have been, I’m not sure.
