what a shame =(
June 20th, 2007 at 9:13 am
Indeed.. one that lionline88 is selling is really cute too. I feel bad for the person who buys it. ):
June 20th, 2007 at 10:49 am
here’s another fake ;_;
June 20th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Thanks for this list! I’d love a list of reputable sellers too!
June 20th, 2007 at 1:50 pm
sotalli—all fakes too. and poeny3b has a fake one up, and RAINBOWCODE
June 20th, 2007 at 2:35 pm
this person(store) has a bunch of fakes!
KooKaManga
June 20th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
So I noticed something…
this mickey-pooh105’s auction for a Fake
BUT
this is mnsist’s auction for a Real one (at least I believe it’s real since I see the “doki” inking issue on the amore bag):
Doesn’t the font and coloring look similar/same?? Tsk tsk!!

Dont forget the aussie sellers!

KooKaManga sells fakes?! i was looking at a bag that was being sold by them!
June 21st, 2007 at 12:31 pm
Sabs - yes, KooKaManga sells ONLY (really, really bad) fake Tokidoki bags. Do not buy from them!
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:37 pm
What ebay users do sell real tokidoki bags?
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:51 pm
I just found this one: 51620babe_angel
June 23rd, 2007 at 6:56 pm
Ebayers that I’ve noticed that sell real tokidoki bags are:
73papasmurfs
lalaland6k
cozy-little-shop
derudoi
This one is weird though because it’s obvious that one of them is a fake but I’m not sure about the other 2 tokidokis:
neremisi
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZneremisiQQhtZ-1
June 23rd, 2007 at 9:24 pm
I wouldn’t trust it. Their feedback mentions fakes, even some of the positive “Shipping was super quick! But, not totally convinced its authentic”
June 24th, 2007 at 2:51 am
hey the seller kitten_kandy has a website & they are selling fake tokidokis on there as well!! can you belive that??? i emailed lesportsac to give them a heads up if they didnt already know
June 24th, 2007 at 9:04 am
does anyone know if vipfashions sells real ones? because i found the exact bag i want & they’re the only one selling it
http://myworld.ebay.com/vipfashions/
June 24th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
Another fake Tokidoki bag seller:
hitomi_takada
June 24th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
danielle - vipfashions sells real bags. I have bought from them before.
Everyone else - keep posting new sellers that you find who sell fakes! I am adding them all to the list.
June 25th, 2007 at 3:44 am
Such a cute fake too.

June 25th, 2007 at 3:17 pm
I just bought a tokidoki FAKE from sotalli, I found out about this site through a friend of mine, I wrote to Ebay about this seller/item. HOpefully they’ll get banned for such false advertising I just thought it was real since it had a LeSportsac tag right on it :/ I thought I was getting a bargain. *sigh* Scammers really blow.

June 26th, 2007 at 10:01 am
This can’t be real, can it?
June 26th, 2007 at 10:04 am
This one looks iffy too.
June 26th, 2007 at 12:14 pm
Dangster, the first bag is real. Bags that look like that are from a collaboration that Tokidoki has with a non-Lepsortsac bag company in Europe only. Not sure what’s up with the second bag though. It doesn’t look like a Tokidoki item.
June 26th, 2007 at 1:47 pm
Another fake?
tragiclude875
ebay link
I looked at the feedback, and although it’s 100%, the other tokidoki bags SAY “guaranteed 100% authentic” this one doesn’t. Comparing it to another on ebay of the same type bag, bambino, everything is different, including the zipper pull. Am I right?
June 26th, 2007 at 2:03 pm
Here’s a new one: chickwithink
June 26th, 2007 at 2:22 pm
dangster–i’ve seen both of those bags on european websites. theyre not lesportsac, but as far as i know they’re both real.
Leslie– i can’t believe their starting bid is $50 for that ugly fake. Definitely not worth it. probably from baghaus.
June 30th, 2007 at 9:06 am
This is a new one too! :[
EBAY USER= kitten_kandy
Take a look!
June 30th, 2007 at 9:21 am
deb - tragiclude875 uses a combination of very blurry poor quality photos, and stock photos, so it is hard to tell what is going on. The L’Amore bags they list look real, but I would definitely ask for more photos before buying.
Delilah, kitten_kandy is on the list.
June 30th, 2007 at 11:51 am
wow how can you guys tell that is fake?
June 30th, 2007 at 3:38 pm
Here’s one more for the list:
sphynxlver
allison: I can’t believe people would pay for that. It’s such a hideous knock off.
Christina: This link tells you how to spot a fake.
June 30th, 2007 at 5:08 pm
This list is great&helpful. tokidoki blog rules (if i’ve never said that before) and i want to thank you for your blog!
June 30th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
Seller: retro*glam*boutique
sells fake hoodies.
fake bags:

sphynxlvr - wasn’t there no zucca til citta? & the inside zipper pull is blank & does NOT say lesportsac.

June 30th, 2007 at 6:55 pm
alli - you’re welcome! and thanks for the list of additional sellers who sell fakes, I added them all (as well as everyone else’s additions - thanks!).
July 2nd, 2007 at 10:09 am
ok, won an auction for a tokidoki carmella (i think that is what is called) but after bidding and winning i actually read up on fakes, and it is TOTALLY FAKE. wrong design, wrong color, just wrong, wrong wrong! do you know if ebay will let me retract my bid. i don’t want to purchase a fake. HELP!
July 2nd, 2007 at 6:09 pm
Joanne - I don’t think you can retract your bid after winning an auction. I think you will need to file an “item significantly not as described” claim with ebay to get your money back.
July 2nd, 2007 at 6:48 pm
THANKS FOR THE INFO. I’M GOING TO DO THAT. I ALSO PURCHASED A FAKE TOKIDOKI BAG, WHICH I WAS UNAWARE WAS A FAKE. I TOOK IN TO MY LOCAL LESPORTSAC STORE AND THEY CONFIRMED IT. I’M SO UPSET CAUSE THIS IS MY FIRST EVER TOKIDOKI BAG (WELL TECHNICALLY IT’S NOT ONE) WHO KNEW THAT EBAY WOULD HAVE SO MANY FAKES. I THINK I’M GOING TO AVOID BUYING ON EBAY AND JUST SPEND THE EXTRA $$ AT LESPORTSAC JUST TO BE SURE I HAVE THE REAL THING. HOPEFULLY (BUT I DOUBT IT) THE SELLER hitomi_takada WILL RESPOND TO MY NUMEROUS EMAILS AND REFUND MY MONEY (*FINGERS CROSSED*)
SO I’M OUT $$$ CAUSE I GOT A FAKE BAG ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF CANCELING MY SELL FOR A FAKE CARMELLA. SO FRUSTRATING!
July 3rd, 2007 at 4:49 pm
Ugh. I just bought one. It is a knock-off Luna Foresta from the italiankit guy. The thing is, I like it better than the Luna cause it is bigger and has pockets on the front. I didn’t see if was a fake until I was looking through the feedback and saw where this person bought it from, and it had an extra picture with the pockets on the front, and I couldn’t find that design anywhere.
What should I do about this? Just report it to ebay? I actually would like to keep it, and I didn’t get taken for hundreds (just 27.00).
July 3rd, 2007 at 7:59 pm
ugly fake on ebay UK
July 3rd, 2007 at 8:16 pm
joanne - Sorry that happened to you. At least now you know how to spot fake bags for future reference!
Christina - If you want to keep the bag, you should just treat it as a normal transaction. If you report the bag as a fake to ebay, you will have to return it to the seller and get a refund.
July 3rd, 2007 at 10:37 pm
I decided not to. It’s just supporting more people stealing artists work. I hadn’t paid yet, so I just filed it and the chips will land where they may.
Now I need to find some real ones on sale!
July 4th, 2007 at 8:09 am
Good for you Christina, you made the right decision.
July 4th, 2007 at 8:23 pm
cynandmaddie has at least one fake Tokidoki bag for sale on ebay now.
July 4th, 2007 at 9:00 pm
Kaiti, you are right - I added cynandmaddie to the list. Both of the tokidoki bags that (s)he has for sale right now are fake.
July 5th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
moto17869 100% authentic ‘Flowers’ Spring’ Tokidoki LeSportsac bag.
July 6th, 2007 at 12:49 pm
Does anyone else bother reporting them to eBay? I bookmarked the report counterfeit items link and keep sending in various items, but eBay doesn’t seem to give a shit. Anyone else noticed?
July 6th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
Hey everyone,
If we all keep reporting the same sellers on eBay with their easy “report counterfeit” link then maybe we can oust these people who are knowingly selling fake Toki stuff.
By the way, you can remove Nebulous from the list — I contacted her and she was horrified that her bag was a fake and pissed about whoever sold it to her. She ended the listing so no one could bid on the item.
July 10th, 2007 at 7:16 am

July 10th, 2007 at 8:10 pm
Hi,
I am not sure if this is a fake or not on eBay. The pics look real enough but the seller is very new…. “chink14k”. Also there is this ‘beautifully*big*duds’ he seemed to have sold a lot but the pictures seem to show the bag not as genuine. Can someone confirm? Thanks.
July 11th, 2007 at 2:58 pm
joanne i think it’s real, but what makes you think it’s not? i dont know that print&style together that well, but i dont see anything. did you ask for more pics or one of under the zipper head?
amy chink14k’s stuff looks real, just with fuzzy pics, like they used a camera phone maybe or have an old digicam maybe, but always ask for more pics if you feel uncomfortable. i think beautifully*big*duds sells all real stuff.
I hate fakes:
her fakes are so nasty.
this nasty beast of a fake went for $186!!! POOR GIRL!!!!
And now this nasty fake hoody is going for $132.50, when it cost $20 I think in whatever store someone saw it in, AND it’s fake!! ughhh
July 12th, 2007 at 10:09 am
On occasion, I’ll report the counterfeit listings ebay. I think it IS working, I’m not seeing loads of fake bags like I had a month ago.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:00 pm
Wish I’d seen this before I bid on my bag a few weeks ago. It’s still a cute bag, but it’s not the official brand.
July 13th, 2007 at 2:29 pm
i am desperatly trying to find a bag, im super fussy and wish i had have just bought the one that i want when it came out, but i couldnt get my bf to understand why i wanted to spend so much money on a bag
im glad i came across this though otherwise i probably would have made a big mistake..
July 14th, 2007 at 12:35 am
A bunch of fake Tokidoki and LeSportsac..
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZneedlepointcrazedQQhtZ-1
Seller : needlepointcrazed
July 15th, 2007 at 10:11 am
joanne - sorry for the late reply, but that bag is fake. The qee is missing the star on its left arm.
July 15th, 2007 at 9:17 pm
Also, I have updated the list per everyone’s recent comments! (Note also that I double-check each seller listed to be sure I’m giving out correct info).
July 16th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
tokidokiblog, thanks for the informative site and guide. Really appreciate it.
Also, appreciate if any readers here can help me identify if this bag is authentic.
I intend to purchase it, and the name of the seller chezmia is not on the list of fake sellers..
Thanks.
July 17th, 2007 at 3:46 am
Wish I knew about this before. None of the stores in my area had the print that I wanted (which is L’amore) so off to ebay I went.
I bought one from tragiclude875 and derudoi. I checked all of their feedbacks and it seemed ok. there was no mention about fakes. So at least I know one is going to be ok. The other we’ll find out soon enough. I paid through paypal and have our email exchanges so hopefully everything will pan out.
I think paypal will refund your money, if not your credit card should do it without too much hassle. You just fill out a form.
the strange thing is before i found this i was looking at ebay at some lesportsac bags in general. i found one that had the Junebug design with tokidoki tags and qee being sold as a tokidoki bag. how bad is that? the auction ended so i can’t find it anymore, but there were a couple more bags from that person that looked like it was missing the tags.
July 17th, 2007 at 4:48 am
hey I think i found a fake one.
July 17th, 2007 at 2:18 pm
quynh the stuff tragiclude875 has up now, well one is a stock photo, but the one with real photos looks real. derudoi sells real stuff. i’m sure tokidokiblog will confirm this for you. & that is definitely a fake you found. that person is in the list ^^.
spacerocket what makes you think it may not be? i don’t have any backpack style bags, so I’m not best to answer, but I think it’s real. You could ask for pics of underneath the head of the rainbow zippers to know for certain.
July 17th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
fur1111 -fake
kokostyle&jessicasbizarregifts’ fakes are SO ugly. Have you [or has anyone who reads this) reported them to LeSportsac or tokidoki.it before?
These people have no right to make money off of illegal copies of Simone’s creations.
July 19th, 2007 at 6:55 pm
Hey I got my bag from tragiclude875 and from what I can tell it’s real! I was worried as she wasn’t listed as one of the ones who sold real items. Also she only had one picture of the bag that I bought. I did asked her about tags and qee, but no other pictures.
July 20th, 2007 at 5:41 pm
I am so new to this and I had no idea there were counterfeit Tokidoki bags. I am appalled and shocked and angry because I bought a paradiso nuvola from cynandmaddie on eBay! I paid $100 for this thing and it’s a total fake (though very convincing).
I am asking for my money back and will report them if they don’t comply, but what else can I do??! This stinks. Thanks for your informative site! Keep it up! People like me need yOU!
July 21st, 2007 at 2:46 pm
i think this is a fake too
July 21st, 2007 at 11:05 pm
triclude875–I emailed her to ask the color of the lining on this canguro and she told me beige. So now I KNOW it is fake!
Perhaps she should be added to the list?
July 22nd, 2007 at 4:50 am
i am pretty peeved that i didnt find this site earlier, just purchased a “tokidoki” bag from ebay user a_signature in australia…on the auction listing some came with qee and others didnt, found that kind of funny…
it looks quite good but the design is wrong and the metal harware is just plain…the zips are rainbow though, a friend informed me not to buy any without the rainbow zips, too bad this fake one has quite a good knock off of the real zips…
July 22nd, 2007 at 3:31 pm
Notblueatall@yahoo.com - you’re welcome, and I hope you get your refund!
tto.kee - can you explain what makes you think that bag is fake? I see no indications of fakeness at all there.
Kathy - tragiclude875’s auction photos are such poor quality that it’s hard to tell what is going on, although they do appear to be real. Maybe she mistook “lining” for the color of the edges of the bag rather than the interior?
mona - sorry that happened to you, but it’s good that you’ll know better next time.
July 24th, 2007 at 12:23 am
Can anyone tell me if this bag is real? I’m still new at this.
July 24th, 2007 at 10:39 am
Sarah - that’s a stock photo. You would need to ask the seller for photos of the actual bag for sale to determine its authenticity. A zero feedback seller who only uses stock photos is most likely selling fakes, however. Check my Guide to tokidoki Fakes on eBay for more info.
July 24th, 2007 at 3:25 pm
aom-eve is an ebay seller who should be added to the list of frauds.
July 24th, 2007 at 3:30 pm
Will someone please help me figure out the authenticity of this one?
Thanks
July 24th, 2007 at 3:40 pm
Natalie - I added aom-eve to the list. And LOL @ the bag in that link!
July 25th, 2007 at 4:33 am
Hello,
I was also shocked to see this list of fakers and I was bidding on a fake Tokidoki bag sell on Ebay by Neremisi (Lesportsac tokidoki backpack 9517 Scuola Citta : object number 250145210786)
Fortunately, a member of Ebay prevents me of this fake (”angryazreal” that I thanks a lot and who link me to your site).
I don’t know if I have to denounce him to Ebay? But I cancel it!
July 25th, 2007 at 7:34 am
Hello,
I’m sorry to disturb you but I don’t want to make another mistake and bid a fake Tokidoki…
So anybody can tel me if the object number 230154089810 sell by maryjiaran (http://myworld.ebay.fr/maryjiaran/) isn’t a fake.
Currently, I think it’s a real one because there is the tokidoki key, the rainbow zipper and this person is a feedback seller.
Thanks in advance to help me…
July 25th, 2007 at 9:10 am
Emilie - I checked the auctions for both item numbers that you posted, and the photos of both bags show real items.
However, ebay user neremisi has been known to sell fake tokidoki bags (like this one) and has prior negative feedback for selling fake items, so I am leaving that user on this list. That user may be likely to pull a bait and switch (real item in photo, fake item mailed to you) due to their past history of selling fakes.
July 26th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
some more sellers of fake bags that I’ve found:
buddhascoot
honeybumbum
fur1111
July 26th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
niku - good eye, I added them to the list.
July 27th, 2007 at 1:10 am
beautifully*big*duds……. i wanna buy a bag from him. is his stuff real? cuz i cant tell…. =X
July 30th, 2007 at 1:02 am
Add blue-diamond20 to the list. Looks like a Pirata, but with beige straps????? Feel sorry for the person who bought it!
July 30th, 2007 at 12:30 pm
Kathy - the auction that you posted shows a (very real) stock photo of a Playground Canguro. Something is fishy about that auction because the other thumbnail is a closeup of the Spiaggia print, but it’s impossible to tell from those stock photos if the seller’s items are real or not.
July 30th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
Heres a new Aussie fake
July 30th, 2007 at 6:20 pm

August 1st, 2007 at 10:13 am
alli - Added pixxyza and xleader_of_the_packx to the list (harajuku-me & honeybumbum are already on it).
August 1st, 2007 at 1:45 pm
thank you so much for this list!!
August 1st, 2007 at 1:57 pm
Oops! I didn’t mean to post fakers you already knew about!! Sorry. I noticed the other two weren’t on the list, but the two you had, I don’t know if I checked. I’ll be better about checking if they’re on the list when I find more.
August 2nd, 2007 at 9:51 am
Hi all, after going through this forum, I’m now worried that this bag may be a fake. Can anyone verify that this is the real thing?
ebay seller: angeltrove
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:18 am
Andy - since that seller is not on the fake sellers list, talk us through what items from the how to avoid fake tokidoki bags on ebay guide still make you think it might be a fake so that we can help you learn.
August 2nd, 2007 at 10:35 am
I haven’t received the bag yet, but should have it by next week. I guess the only way to tell if it’s real or fake is to inspect it thoroughly once I get it.
For now I’ll assume it’s real (considering the cost) and that the seller has sold many tokidoki bags before and has 100% positive feedback.
When I get the bag, I’ll be sure to post my findings on whether it’s real or not.
August 2nd, 2007 at 7:14 pm
Check out the fake skinny decorative chain and the skinny keyring for the Qee… seller’s name is “nathanplaydead”
August 2nd, 2007 at 7:24 pm
so, basically everything that has the words “tokidoki” and “anime” seems to be a fake, I notice.
August 2nd, 2007 at 9:31 pm
Ginger - good catch, that bag is definitely fake. I am adding nathanplaydead to the list now.

I had never realised there were fake Tokidoki bags out there as well.
I know now I got a fake. Its good I did not pay a lot but it still is off putting.
Here is the bag.

August 13th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
what makes you think they’re selling fakes, jackie?
I swear, no one reads the guide tokidokiblog put so much time into.
August 14th, 2007 at 9:45 am
I agree with you alli. The guide here is so informative and helpful. It is really quite simple. If you are in doubt or not comfortable buying a bag on eBay, then don’t. Buy your bags from Lesportsac, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Bloomingdale’s, Karmaloop, Pulse etc if you want a guarantee. Otherwise, use the guide here (AS A GUIDE) and your own judgement when it comes to eBay purchases. No one here can 100% authenticate a bag on eBay unless they are the seller of that bag! I have bought a few of my bags on eBay and have been really fortunate in my experience. But if I have even a little doubt, I simply do not bid.
August 15th, 2007 at 1:47 pm

Hello All,
Can someone please check out ebay seller chink14k and let me know if the bags are fake? It’s hard for me to tell with the Notte colored bags. I will to buy one for my 13yo daughter but I do not want to get a fake - thanks!!
August 16th, 2007 at 3:25 pm
Suzanne -
the notte stellina that chink14k is selling looks real to me. if the seller’s willing to send you extra photos, you can request a photo of the underside of the zipper heads on the rainbow zippers. authentic bags have the brand name “riri” should be stamped on the underside of the zipper heads. good luck.
August 16th, 2007 at 3:34 pm
yikes. some these fakes are really horrid. :/
two more to add to the list:

Thanks!!
August 23rd, 2007 at 9:12 am
Wendy, what makes you think the bag might be fake?
August 23rd, 2007 at 11:55 am
Hi - maybe I’m paranoid now after seeing the above list of ebayers who sell fake bags. I checked out some of their listings and I found it hard to tell which ones were fake - I guess I just want to make sure I didn’t waste my money. Is it reasonable to say that if the selling price is around the retail price, chances are it’s real? It seems that most of the fake listings have a “too good to be true” price.
August 23rd, 2007 at 12:26 pm
Wendy, have you read my how to avoid fake tokidoki bags on ebay guide? It will help you be able to tell a fake bag from a real bag. That combined with the fact that your seller is not on the fake sellers list should reassure you.

are these sellers’ tokidoki items fakes?
can’t tell because i’ve never seen them before, help?
August 28th, 2007 at 3:43 pm
bastardino’s name, urvanilla? That’s odd. tutti should look like this (def.real).
alex matis-decolores only sells european (pre-lesportsac) stuff, and i guess the only way to know for certain if that’s real is to ask simone himself! it very well could be, since there has been lots of stuff made in Europe that the US never got.
August 28th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
ok, thanks for your help.
August 28th, 2007 at 4:35 pm
i think urvanilla means the bowl bastardino is drinking out of, that does have his name on it, other than that i would think its fake.

Honestly, I just wouldn’t purchase from that seller, Olivia. Anyone that has ever sold a fake is tainted in my eyes.
I’d buy this one instead.

I was looking at handbags on the macy’s website when I saw the bianco zucca bag and discovered tokidoki. So then of course I google tokidoki and then search for it elsewhere and finally on ebay. Now I would really like a pirata zucca bag, but I found this really cute one: link and I don’t know if it’s real or not. The qee looks real and you can see the riri on the zipper, but I’m not sure if the liner color is right?
By the way, your guide on how to spot fakes is awesome! I’m just a newb, so I want to be sure it’s the genuine article before I spend my money.

Hi all, this subject really gets my goat!!! I was a victim to a fake bag, luckliy I found this site, threatened to report them to ebay and paypal so they refunded me my money sayin they didn’t realise the bag was fake. (yeah right, return the bag for them to sell it to some other poor unsuspecting sod!) Some of these fakes are selling for £50 about $100 to you guys which is really unfair. Hi everyone,
I read tokidokiblog’s helpful guide to spotting fakes but I still can’t tell whether this bag is fake or real:
Reasons I think it might be fake:
1. The seller, ninja_rusty, isn’t listed on the list of real sellers
2. The pictures don’t show the inside of the bag, the inside of the zipper, or close ups of the qee (which looks like it might have a white face based on the picture)?
3. There’s a no return policy
4. The seller’s feedback only lists two past transactions as being Tokidoki bags (though they’re bothh positive and one even states that the bag she received was authentic)
5. I can’t see the zipper pulls
6. The seller has some other tokidoki bags listed with BIN prices of $100 or more; this one is just up for bid and the price is only $40 with less than a day left
I’d really appreciate any help from those of you who are already familiar with tokidoki. I’m new to the whole thing (this would be my first bag, though I do have the matching denaro already). Thanks so much!
September 10th, 2007 at 3:25 pm
Sara- a lot of good sellers aren’t on the ‘real sellers’ list, but they do sell real things. Your list of reasons is good. If it concerns you, I recommend asking them for pics of those things. Sometimes auctions start REALLLLy low just to go WAYYY up at the end. All the stuff i’ve seen her sell looks real, though (IMO) and since it’s listed as the real thing, if you got a fake, you’d win an eBay claim. I think when in doubt, message the seller. If they won’t send more pics, they’re full of s–t.
And the no returns thing–i think some sellers just get sick of people with buyer’s remorse.
September 10th, 2007 at 4:49 pm
Thanks, Alli. You know, I did ask the seller for up-close pics of the qee but I never got a response. For that reason, I think I won’t bid on the bag, though it would be a good deal if it was real.
Thanks again for your response!

October 1st, 2007 at 4:54 pm
wow, that one was pretty convincing whatsyourname?!! ick!
October 2nd, 2007 at 11:23 am
wow, this is so frustrating. ive spent the last couple days reporting every fake i come across but there are SO many. it sucks cuz i live in a small town in the middle of nowhere far away from those who are hip or civilized, and just got into tokidoki last month and obviously cant buy the bags anywhere but online.
its SO frustrating seeing all these fakes. im not that into designer clothes, but im super into art, and these bags represent so much of my personality and im so glad to have found them but im sad and disgusted by the amount of people copying this ARTISTS work with cheaper materials and passing them off as real tokidoki bags. and some of the fakes are cute, but i cannot in good conscious buy them or support the people selling them. i cant wait to move back to the east coast where i can go to a store and buy them. hopefully theyll come out with some more women inspired(my faves are the pirata, spiaggia, and playground if that tells you anything!) bags this winter or spring cuz im not too into fall 07 prints.
i hope everyone else is reporting them like i am, its the only way to try to cut down on the amount that are out there. i know the people will just sign up for a new ebay account, but at least we can make it difficult for them!
October 2nd, 2007 at 3:54 pm
The list has been updated with the two most recent additions.
I also often report the fakes that I see on eBay, but it generally proves to be a frustrating and fruitless endeavor.

I bought several bags on Ebay recently. I purchased too many and my husband asked me only keep three and place the others back on Ebay to resell. This is the first time I have EVER sold on Ebay (and the last!!)
Because I bought them on Ebay I thought my items were real. I am trying to get Ebay to refund my listing fees and am taking my current tokidoki items off. Once this is accomplished, will you please take my name off this list. I don’t need my profile bashed!! Thank you.
October 10th, 2007 at 9:39 am
girlycoachchic, I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Quote from one of your auctions:
“Check out MY STORE for lots of
*MUST HAVE * CUTE CELEB ITEMS
LOTS LOTS AND LOTS of TOKIDOKI LOVERS BAGS
HELLO KITTY TARINA TARANTINO LOVERS
HOLLYWOOD CELEB FAVORITES…CAREBEAR
SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL AND STERLING SILVER
CUSTOM BEADED PENDANT JEWELRY TOO!!!”
First time selling on eBay, eh? And the last? Are you shutting your whole store down now? Plus, the fake tokidoki bags that you are selling right now do not even appear in your feedback buying history for the past 3 months - but some different ugly fakes do.
I also highly doubt that someone old enough to be married really believes “Because I bought them on Ebay I thought my items were real.” (Especially an apparent Coach fan.)
October 10th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
Oh snap! Go admin!
October 11th, 2007 at 7:13 am
You think we’re so stupid, girlycoachchic.
the bags you’ve sold are screaming FAKE. Almost *all* bags sold on ebay are fake, hence why most people avoid buying them there and buy from safer places like a closely moderated community on Livejournal. Don’t play the innocent “I didn’t know” card.

I just bought a portatelfono pirata on ebay and it seems real..i checked the guide it has “riri” on the zipper and everything…but every pirata portatelfono ive seen has a slightly different picture on the one side that the one i just bought i havent payed for it yet cause im scared it isnt real..but i have to pay within 24 hours..can anyone tell me if they sometimes have different parts of the print on it or if you can tell me if 20tinkerbell07 is a legit seller? here it is so u can judge…
any help would be great thanks
October 11th, 2007 at 6:42 pm
Clerbs - It looks real to me.
The reason it looks different is because the Tokidoki bags/portatelephonos have different print placements. The better the print placement, the more expensive.
I think there’s nothing to worry about.

I was also thinking - since I’m quite sure you’re mega-busy and stuff would you need a hand with posting these fakers. ;~; They come like viruses.

qeestokidoki
October 15th, 2007 at 11:20 am
I added qeestokidoki to the list.

You know what would be a huge help - making all of the new faker names link to either one of their fake auctions or to the list of their items for sale like you have done in some past comments. It’s sooo much easier to keep this list updated in real time when I can verify with one click rather than manually looking them all up. That would be fantastic.
October 15th, 2007 at 12:50 pm
Oh, okay. ^^
October 15th, 2007 at 5:14 pm

It’s really disturbing how big this list is getting. New fakers added, thanks to Hunty’s diligence and linkage.
October 16th, 2007 at 11:09 am
I love this list and your guide It has been very useful. I think that since the list is getting so big you could separate current fake sellers from those who have sold fake bags in the past. It would make it easier to read and help prevent sales of fake bags.
October 16th, 2007 at 12:01 pm
Mikuru - I’ll do that if I can get a volunteer to go through all of the names on the list and break it down like that.

Mikuru -that’s a good idea, but there are so many :-/ also, what about the ones who changed their names? can you still search their old names to find them, or is that only for a period of time after its been changed?
October 17th, 2007 at 12:14 am
Yeah - those users that keep changing their names are the main ones persistently selling the fakes. IMO, the quickest way to do it is to make a screenshot of the fakers’ identity history. I did one, but because I’m a fulltime babysitter - I don’t have all the time.
While we’re at it - Another gross fake.
This one is just plain ridiculous.
October 17th, 2007 at 9:38 am
yeah I guess education is the real key! No shortcuts to keeping up with these fakes!
October 17th, 2007 at 10:03 am
New fake sellers added. Mikuru it’s up to you if you want to keep sifting through the list or not, but as I think you’re already aware, it would be a constant process. I have the list in alphabetical order, so they way I see it, it’s not too hard for someone to scan the list for the fake seller they are looking for.
October 17th, 2007 at 7:37 pm
monkeyshop05 (although they’re not listed as tokis-just lss. fakes still.
October 17th, 2007 at 7:45 pm
-_-; At least she’s admitting it.
October 17th, 2007 at 11:10 pm
I give up!!! too hard to keep up with! Alphabetical is good enough. I am really careful about my purchases on Ebay anyway thanks to your guide.
October 19th, 2007 at 12:26 am
Yet another hideous fake..
October 19th, 2007 at 6:47 pm
I hate it when sellers try to make money by having something that could look like a tokidoki and put Tokidoki tags and qees on them like this one.
October 19th, 2007 at 6:51 pm
It’s weird how the fakes seem to be getting worse rather than better! I’m at least thankful that none of them are remotely convincing though. New fakers added!
October 19th, 2007 at 7:26 pm
Yeah, there’s not a single one that fooled me.
“Flower’Spring” gives it all away. Did I mention that it’s also an oxymoron? I can understand if it was “PokiToki” or something. I once laughed at people who bought the fakes until I bought my Transporto Dolce and saw how amazing these bags really are and it’s sad that there’s so many fakes out there. Explains why they want so much.
October 20th, 2007 at 1:47 am
So, I click on the “items sold worldwide” and this came up. o_O $163 for that piece of crap?!

I was staring at her “bella” and wondering what was and then saw the other stuff she’s selling
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:42 pm
Oh wow. I guess reporting the sellers sometimes really do pay off. o_O
Alli - if I didn’t see the qee, I probably would have argued that it was real. I took closer look because of the zippers, and it does look questionable.
October 22nd, 2007 at 10:20 pm
Yeah those zippers don’t go all the way across on the bag, plus the qee.
Gwen almost pulled it off! Nice try!!!!!
October 22nd, 2007 at 10:38 pm
and now she added a close up of the zippers on her NWT 100% TOKIDOKI LESPORTSAC LAMORE AMORE BUON VIAGGIO and you can see that the zipper pulls say lesportsac instead of having characters on them. I hope no one wastes their money on that fake!
October 24th, 2007 at 10:25 am
Jamsai Shop If the zippers weren’t so attrocious, it would’ve been a decent fake.
October 24th, 2007 at 8:55 pm
Here’s a few more, unfortunately:
Fake inferno carmella
A really gross fake Lamore from another seller.
This fake claimed to be a gift for the seller’s mom. No mom whether she’s 16 or 50 would want a fake this ugly..

I suspect it’s another offspring of the persistent sellers from Hong Kong. o_O
I feel bad that I’m spotting all the fakes..
October 25th, 2007 at 6:23 pm
o_O Another fake seller from hong kong. I suspect that it’s the same as the others I posted here and banned.
x_x I feel bad that I’m posting all the fakes and I’m being a bit spammy…
October 25th, 2007 at 6:48 pm
It’s cool, Hunty - you’re doing other tokidoki fans a favor by keeping this list so up-to-date.
If you keep posting them, I’ll keep adding them.

x_x I despise Ebay. If it’s not all the fakes, it’s these retarded prices.
November 1st, 2007 at 4:32 pm
Hi Everyone,
I found this fabulous website several months ago and bookmarked it; but it’s the first time I’m contributing.
I’m feeling quite frustrated with ebay. It seems as though they don’t follow up on reports of fake Tokidoki bags. I hope I am reporting the sellers correctly by doing the following: 1)Click on the link on the bottom of the page “Report this item;” 2)Click on “Counterfeits and Copyright Violations;” 3)Click on “Potential Trademark Infringement;” 3)Click on “Counterfeit Handbags.” I then click on “Continue” which takes me to a page asking if I want more information or to send an email. Do I need to do anything else to report the seller? I actually called ebay to ask but the person helping me didn’t know the answer. I know I can send emails with each item number listed, but this is easier since all you have to do is click.
November 1st, 2007 at 4:39 pm
tokilover - You need to click “send e-mail” on that last page to actually complete the reporting process. Otherwise it is unfortunately a wasted effort.
Hunty and alli - I am continuing to add the new fake sellers as you list them.
November 1st, 2007 at 5:14 pm
Admin,
I’m going to redo all the reports now (of the still active listings).
Thanks for your help. I did waste a lot of time and effort since I never clicked “send email.”
I just want to say fake bag workmanship is a poorer quality than authentic bags, and the fabric is NOT the same rip-stop nylon found on all LeSportsac bags. Someone brought my friend a fake bag in the Dolce style purchased for $5 in Hong Kong. The outer fabric is not as smooth and closely woven as authentic bags. My friend used the fake a few times but is now using her authentic bag only.
November 1st, 2007 at 5:53 pm
Tokilover-
Another obvious sign that a tokidoki bag is fake is the logo. Look for “Flower’Spring”. ¬_¬; There’s like a whole big guide on how to spot fake tokidoki bags.
November 1st, 2007 at 6:27 pm
Thanks Hunty,
Now that I think of it, the fake bag did have “Flower Spring” written on it.
Yes, I’ve read the guide on how to spot fake bags and keep referring to it when I’m not sure of the authenticity of a listing. I’ve been very careful and all my ebay purchases have resulted in authentic bags.
Originally, the ebay sellers of fake bags had low Buy It Now prices. Now they’re getting smart and charging more to try to trick the buyers. They purchase the bags for $5 to $10 in Hong Kong or Thailand and sell them for $60 or more.
November 2nd, 2007 at 4:07 pm
some people buy them from bag haus (i’m sure you’ll recognize those) also or off the streets of nyc & some have shill bidding (a different account or two keeps on bidding the price up so it looks desirable) going on.
November 3rd, 2007 at 1:50 am
x_x Baghaus has some of the most ugliest fakes..
So far, I’ve spotted tokidoki fakes in (unfortunately) Korean wigshops and street vendors in Connecticut. It’s not just Asia with the fakes though; other countries like some I’ve spotted are from UK and Australia.
I used to laugh at bidders until I bought my own real toki bags and realized how really amazing these bags were. I feel bad for people who buy them and miss out on the true uniqueness of Tokidoki.
November 4th, 2007 at 3:16 pm
I found another seller on ebay selling fake tokidoki. if you read the fine print it says “with Characters inspired by Tokidoki.” It’s still fake. ebay id: sotalli & store name: KooKaManga.
November 4th, 2007 at 4:17 pm
dandymandy - sotalli is already on the list, they are one of the OG fake sellers. :p

Chink14k x_x really sad looking fake.
November 27th, 2007 at 3:53 pm
Geez! If you want the REAL thing, stop looking on ebay for deals. Just shell out the $$$ for the genuine article and visit a Le Sportsac store; that way you can be sure that you’re not getting duped into buying a fake.
This blog is helpful to some; keep writing it.
As for me, I like the print of tokidoki for LeSportsac, but as a working mom with two kids, and mortgage to pay for, I can’t be frittering my hard-earned cash on accessories. So I admit it, I have a really bad fake tokidoki purse…but I am always quick to tell admirers that it’s not the real thing.
November 27th, 2007 at 4:00 pm
Shannon-
I admire your honesty. Most people would be obnoxious about it and say it’s real.
You can also buy tokidoki bags from owners at closely-moderated purse forums, though I bought my first tokidoki bag from lesportsac, they don’t help with print placement, and their discounts kinda suck. I’ve found nicer, if not cheaper bags there. So, lesportsac is not the only option. ^^
November 27th, 2007 at 5:28 pm
Shannon-
People search ebay for print placement also; Not just deals. I have bought from ebay and from Lesportsac, and you won’t neccessarily get a deal on ebay anyway..but you can at least see what you’re getting. This list of people who sell fakes is for people who want the genuine article and not a fake.
That being said, I don’t care if people carry fakes, and I completely understand not being able to afford a real one. Accessories are definitely not priorities when you have more important things to think about (such as children and mortgages), but don’t knock us for buying on ebay.
♥
November 27th, 2007 at 5:51 pm
alli–sorry, if i sounded b**chy; i wasn’t really knocking anyone for buying on ebay. i have no idea about print placement and all that stuff.
you know, for myself–i don’t mind carrying cheap, knockoff stuff. but when i give gifts (to my mom, niece & sister), i tend to spend the $$$. i would love to give them the real tokidoki bags.
Hunty–i’d love more information on the purse forums you were talking about. would you please email me? shannon_fukumoto@yahoo.com
November 27th, 2007 at 7:55 pm
I don’t buy on eBay for deals, I buy on eBay because Tokidoki is sold almost no where in Chicago and eBay is pretty much my only option. And because you can see the placement. - There are only like 6 LeSportsac store and outlets in the country, so most people don’t have access to them.
November 27th, 2007 at 9:47 pm
Shannon, just a friendly mod warning that I can see the IP addresses of everyone who posts, so if someone posts under a fake name from the same IP address that they already posted from, I know about it. If you feel that you have a good reason for owning a fake tokidoki bag, that’s fine, but you’re on the wrong blog if you’ve come here to fight about it.
November 29th, 2007 at 7:57 am
“Vacanze Stellina”. Please… *rolls eyes*
November 29th, 2007 at 5:47 pm
Another questionable one.
The zippers are fine, and you can find the tokidoki for lesportsac label lying around, but what raises my brow is the zipper tab. It’s blank. o.O From what I understand - the zipper tab is supposed to have a character on it on ALL tokidoki bags..
November 29th, 2007 at 6:08 pm
Hunty - that bag is real, it’s just the back of the zipper pull that is showing. There is only a character engraved into one side of the pull tab.
November 29th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
Aaah, I see.
Even the smallest suspicions of a fake tokidoki bag can scare me. Maybe that’s how much I’m really into this tokidoki business.. ^^;;;;
November 29th, 2007 at 10:39 pm
Why does my security system say that this is a “suspicious website or may be a phishing website”?? Anyway, I have looked through your website of lists of real & fake ebay seller… HTRANS… is selling zucca tutti which is what I wish to buy but have not heard of his username anywhere here… if anyone knows of him please tell me. His photos are quite tiny and dim so I don’t know whether they’re real or not. I have however requested for more clear photos…
November 29th, 2007 at 10:41 pm
htrans zucca tutti a link to his item
November 29th, 2007 at 10:59 pm
I bought a re-release Foresta Caramella from eBay seller “htrans” and it was authentic and shipped very quickly.
November 29th, 2007 at 11:08 pm
I’m sorry I’m still not convinced. I’d also like a response from the Admin *ehem hem* BTW, I noticed from the Macy’s pictures of the Zucca and Buon Viaggio that it has an extra metal hardware… how come I never saw that in any of the bags sold on ebay??
November 30th, 2007 at 11:53 am
I just took a look at the macys.com pictures of the Zucca and Buon Viaggio. They just have appear to have the carabiner on the stretch-cord from inside the bag, hanging outside of the bag.
November 30th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
eggleng - QueenLouis definitely knows her real vs. fake tokidoki, but if you are still not convinced, you are on the right track by asking the seller for additional photos. That is exactly what I would do.
What security system do you use? I have no idea why you would be getting that message. That’s the first time I have heard that one.
November 30th, 2007 at 1:15 pm
um… It says “Microsoft” suggests I do not give any info to such websites… it’s in the topmost bar right next to the url. It just comes on automatic..where it sometimes displays a padlock for secure websites.
November 30th, 2007 at 1:47 pm
I assume you are using the IE browser then - maybe it issues that warning whenever you visit a site that has a form & submit button on it that doesn’t encrypt the info that you submit? I don’t know, I’m guessing. Personally I only use the Firefox browser because it isn’t plagued with the same number of security holes that IE is. But either way, I promise not to ask for your credit card information.

December 9th, 2007 at 11:54 am
eggleng - If the auction isn’t over yet, then retract your bid. If the auction has already ended, you can refuse to pay for the item - the seller will most likely give you negative feedback, but that is better than getting a fake bag.
December 9th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
thanks for the reply… I guess I’ll have to bear with the negative feedback. I have no valid reason to retract.
December 9th, 2007 at 9:32 pm
eggleng - IMO you certainly do have a valid reason to retract your bid - you thought you were bidding on a real bag, but just realized it was fake, and are retracting because you were mislead by the auction description (if it claims to be a real tokidoki bag, of course).

I need your help!
I just bought this pirata bambino on ebay, but the picture on the description looks like a “bambinone” (2 zippers middle+ one for cell) do you think it looks fake or something? it’s my first tokidoki and I’m from southamerica so I’ve never touched or seen a real tokidoki bag… i came across this blog AFTER i bought it, and you sure seem to know all about tokidoki fakes !please help!!!! thanks a lot!!!

Marychase - The bag is real, hon.
Look at this guide to know more about the fakes here.
December 28th, 2007 at 6:05 am
wow. glad there’s this list. I just checked it against some of the auctions i’ve been watching…here’s a name on the list that just CHANGED his seller ID within the last 30days….
transmetchan is now transmet1977. FYI
December 28th, 2007 at 6:25 am
Hey Hunty, thanks so much!! I’m new at this so i hope I get better at spotting fakes/real. thanks again, you made my day! (I thought i had bought a fake :D)
December 28th, 2007 at 9:07 am
Marychase - No Problem! ^_^
Betty - I figured that would happen. Quite a few people on that list has been consistently changing names, often too quick to catch at time.
December 28th, 2007 at 11:38 am
Betty - I am not adding transmet1977 to the list unless he resumes selling fake tokidoki bags again - he is one of the rare sellers who used to sell fakes and then switched to selling real bags.

Tabitha - if you paid with paypal, you can dispute it for your money back. By the time you receive it, just throw it out; one of the ways a seller can take your money is when you return it, they’ll keep telling you that they never received it and then won’t give you your money back.
January 12th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
Tabitha - however if the seller in which you purchased a fake bag from has a delivery confirmation paypal WILL NOT decide in your favor. Because as far as they can see the item has been delivered…period. Regardless of the authenticity or lack of - merchandise has been received.
The best way to do it (from personal experience) start a paypal dispute immediately - that way paypal will immediately place a hold on the funds that you paid the seller for the merchandise. Select “item significantly not as described”. You will have the option to escalate the claim after the seller responds or does not respond in x amount of days. At that time you can specify that the item was a fake and will be returned. You must purchase a delivery confirmation when you return the package (if you go to USPS.com it’s free - at the post office I believe it’s .35 or .45). After you provide paypal with the delivery confirmation number associated with the package you are returning…once that package has been delivered - paypal will reverse the funds back to your account.
HOWEVER - if there was no delivery confirmation and proof of delivery from the seller I agree with Hunty - it’ll save you a lot of time and a HUGE headache.

m0m3niqu3 I noticed has just listed some very odd “tokidoki” fakes on ebay Australia.
January 18th, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Hi! I bought a fake bag about 3 weeks ago and had no idea til now that it is totally a fake. It doesn’t even remotely look like the real one. I’m new to the tokidoki bag buying thing, so after looking at this blog and the authentic bag list, I’m so mad. It states that it is authentic and genuine in the description. I bought it from vintagedelux1 and now see that his name is on your list. I contacted him to see if we could reslove this before contacting ebay, but What do you suggest I do?
January 18th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Deon - I think you are already doing the right thing: trying to work it out with the seller first, and then contacting eBay. Sorry that happened to you, and good luck!
January 20th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
I am planning to bid on this Pirata Zucca, from the two pics on the page, it seems real enough. (The rainbow zipper, character on the zipper pull, qee have a red star) Yet I still have doubts though, since not many people bid on it and the price seems a bit low for Zuccas. Please let me know, and I asked for more pics for under the zipper, which the person haven’t replied me yet, so I am waiting for more pics~^^ Thanks
January 20th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
Fan - That bag is real. The price will definitely go up before the auction is over.
January 21st, 2008 at 1:43 am
Thanks for the reply~^-^ Well, when I saw it it was only a day left, and not many people put their bags up for bid anymore, so I was kinda shocked to see that not many people bid on it. I was thinking, last day of the auction, the price should at least go up to like $160. Thanks for the help, this is actually my first time buying Tokidokis on ebay.
January 21st, 2008 at 6:30 am
First, I wanted to say what a great website you’ve got here. I’ve learned so much.
Also wanted to inform people that transmet1977 (formerly transmetchan) sold me a FAKE Lesportsac Tokidoki Trenino Spiaggia (140185632470) which I subsequently returned. She’s now reselling it (140199581230) and claiming it’s authentic. I snapped a few photos (which clearly shows that it’s a fake) before sending the bag back.
January 21st, 2008 at 11:35 am
How about these three sellers:
luckychip1
teleautomata
handbagheadquarters
I’ve checked the signs of fakes against the ‘how to spot a fake guide’ but I just wanted to know if anyone had purchased authentic bags from any of these sellers…
Thanks!
January 21st, 2008 at 12:16 pm
Fan - You’re welcome!
Jo - Could you please share those photos with us so that I can add them to the How to Avoid Fake tokidoki Bags on eBay guide? You can e-mail them to me at tokidokiblog@gmail.com .
EvilAngelfish - I haven’t personally dealt with any of those sellers before. How is each of their feedback?
January 21st, 2008 at 2:02 pm
teleautomata seems to sell real stuff, I’ll let you guys know if I do win the auction~^^
January 21st, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I emailed seller handbagheadquarters about a listing with 3 questions:
“1. Do you have any other photos of this item available? I’d like to see a closer picture of the straps.
2. What color is the interior of the bag?
3. Also, is there anything written on the zipper heads (check the underside of the zipper)…”
Here’s the response I got:
“Hi! I am sorry, we don’t have anymore pictures of this item. We don’t check zippers for information either. Our inventory is too large to take that kind of time out for silly stuff. If you are concerned about the item please check our feedback. We don’t sell fakes. If you still have issues, please do not buy from us. Best regards”
There’s lots of positive feedback but something about that response seems off to me. Does anyone else have experience with this seller’s merchandise?
January 21st, 2008 at 7:16 pm
EvilAngelfish - Is there something about handbagheadquarters’ bags that looks fake to you (I don’t see it, personally), or are you just being extra-cautious? Although their response was quite rude, they might just be annoyed by having someone second-guess a bag that is to them, obviously real. I might be missing something though. I just checked that seller’s feedback & they actually qualify to be on the Real tokidoki Sellers list.

Oh a new handle on Ebay selling bags using the Tokidoki print names and Tokidoki prints but not calling them Tokidoki. In fact admits they are designer inspired bags.
http://myworld.ebay.com/usctrojanscali/
Take a look.
January 23rd, 2008 at 2:42 pm
I originally bought my fake Trenino Spiaggia from this seller (brushworldusa):

January 23rd, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Liane - I see that when you resold the bag, you replaced the obviously-fake skinny ball chain & black tokidoki tags with real ones, and added a white tokidoki qee. How come?
January 25th, 2008 at 8:20 am
I knew that transmet1977 was up to no good, but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.
I haven’t been catching up to the recent fakers due to the little man of the house aka my baby nephew, so I haven’t had time. x_X
January 26th, 2008 at 1:45 am
Is this seller selling a real bag? I’ve seen this same exact bag listed a month or two ago:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220194985 817
January 26th, 2008 at 3:46 am
It’s a real bag, but I dont understand why one of the leather strap thingies were torn open like that. o.O
January 26th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
eBay seller anuchat_pai has 3 fake bags right now
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZanuchat_pai
January 28th, 2008 at 5:00 am
Just wanted to let everyone know that transmet1977 has changed her user id yet again…this time to brmckitty.
January 28th, 2008 at 10:55 am
Krisha - anuchat_pai’s fakes must have come down quickly, because it looks like I missed all of them.
Jo - Thanks for the heads up!
January 28th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
Ugggh… these could probably fool someone.

January 28th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
wow, queenlouis,those are good!
i can see why the l’amore one is fake, but all i can tell from the ciao ciao is the chain. is that a fake adios keychain then?
January 28th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
queenlouis - I will add that seller to the list.
alli - On the Ciao Ciao, the colors of the print are also off. Compare it side-by-side with my real Vacanze ciao ciao photo and you will see the color differences. I’m sure that the way the characters are drawn and their spatial relations to one another would also be off upon close inspection. I think that the Adios keychain is a real one that the seller purchased & attached to the fake bag (I hope! I haven’t seen a fake Adios keychain yet).
January 28th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
alli - the logo is also wrong… look at the skull & bones in front of “Tokidoki for LeSportsac”… it should be the Tokidoki heart & bones.
January 28th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
oh, and also “Tokidoki for LeSportsac” is written in red on Vacanze… on the fake, it is in black.
February 3rd, 2008 at 7:48 pm
So now I need some more help..Obviously ya’ll know a LOT more than me.
Is this one good?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120218056 136

prometheus0812 has 6 auctions currently running represented as tokidoki items.
February 4th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Robin - That bag is real.
taykeahi - I added prometheus0812 to the fake sellers list.
February 5th, 2008 at 3:40 am
This Foresta bag is guaranteed as an authentic, original, not re-released foresta stellina, but it doesn’t look real to me. The print says “Flower’s Spring” on it and the ball chain and qee chain look too skimpy. She’s a new seller, maybe she doesn’t know it’s fake?
Also, a question…I have the re-released foresta campeggio from the Hawaii Lesportsac store–are the re-released prints identical to the original ones?

taykeahi - That seller is already on this list - the bag is fake, for exactly the reasons you described.
And yes, the Foresta re-release print is identical to the original release.
February 8th, 2008 at 8:21 am
It’s been forever since I reported any fakes. Getting back on the ball here:
meatball988
February 8th, 2008 at 8:22 am
lerin2005
February 8th, 2008 at 8:25 am
prometheus0812 I think this seller is a spawn from one of the more persistent Hong Kong fakers.
February 8th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
I added meatball988 and lerin2005 to the list - we caught prometheus0812 while you were away from faker-hunting.
February 8th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
Aaah, I see. ^^;;;;
February 9th, 2008 at 3:06 am
meatball988 and prometheus0812 were the first two I noticed as fakes when I found out about Tokidoki and this site, a few days ago. Now I have more to add to this list of fakes:
anuchat_pai
superverycute
I submitted videomasterz as a real seller, but the fact that all the feedbacks are “private” is slightly suspicious.
February 9th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
Raychel - I added anuchat_pai to the list. I can’t verify superverycute yet though because that seller doesn’t have any tokidoki items (fake or otherwise) listed or visible in their feedback. Also videomasterz is definitely cool - see my reply on the Real Sellers post.
February 9th, 2008 at 5:34 pm
Weird that superverycute had up Tokidoki bags last night and now they are not there. *mysterious disappearance* Also, seems that that seller is keeping most of the past sold products “private”. I did however notice that one buyer said they bought a fake Kipling bag from this seller and was refunded their money. Just putting that out there.
February 9th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
You gals deserve a gold star for all of your hard work! I have just started looking at these bags and ran across your blog.
It really ticks me off that ebay won’t stop these sellers from deliberately trying to pass off an item as authenicate when they know it’s FAKE! I appreciate the few sellers that have withdrawn their items after learning they were selling a FAKE due to someone misrepresenting the item to them. There truly are honest people in the ebay community. It’s the sellers you are trying to “catch” that cause buyers to BEWARE of ebay. I spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME on ebay myself, but enjoyed reading the entire blog this afternoon. I was truly amazed at how “sneaky” the dishonest sellers are getting in order to continue ripping people off. MORE POWER TO YOU ALL!! Thanks!
February 9th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Here’s another seller for the list: isellyoucheap. I couldn’t find any Tokidoki items in their feedback but they have had quite a few customers who knew a fake when it showed up at their door.
February 10th, 2008 at 3:13 am
shopperlo2005 has some horribly obviously fake stuff.
February 10th, 2008 at 4:38 am
iced.milkshake has some bad fakes too. It’s not like they’re even trying.
February 10th, 2008 at 5:12 am
I have found something that confuses me, and am guessing it is a sign of a fake, but didn’t find it listed in your guide. Seller kar969 has a transporto print bag listed with the proper qee, but the qee card shows the white qee. This seems wrong. Will you check it out and add them to this list if it’s where they belong? Thanks
February 10th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
I’m considering purchasing this bag. I can’t find this seller on either the ‘fake’ or ‘real’ list. Can anyone tell if this bag is real or fake? I notice that the seller sells many LeSportsac bags that appear to be fakes, but they are not advertised as Tokidoki; whereas this one is. Thank you :)!
February 10th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
oops, sorry, I’m knew to this and not sure how to attach the website. I’ll try again:

February 10th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Patti - You’re welcome!
Raychel - I added the first 3 sellers to the list. The 4th seller, kar969, is already listed. If you scroll up in the comments there is some discussion as to why - plus the incorrect qee card that you noticed is another fake red flag.
February 10th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
kfonti - That bag is real. I don’t see them selling any bags that look fake.
February 10th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
such a quick response! Thank you!!! :)!
February 11th, 2008 at 2:26 am
iced.milkshake should be under Austrailian, sorry I didn’t cite that before.
rongrong82388 has some stuff that anyone should be able to tell is fake. I suggest you check it out for a laugh. They’re more Disney than anything.
February 11th, 2008 at 2:48 am
Here’s another freshly launched fakes seller: pegasusminotaur
Oh, and because the seller I mentioned in my last post’s listings will be up in a few hours here’s a link for laughs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220199593 626
not to mention that their shipping is outrageous, I feel bad for the people who bid on these things!
February 11th, 2008 at 3:03 am
Seller name: lijiali_cn1
This is the second bag in this fabric I’ve seen claiming to be Tokidoki. Check out some of these photos, they managed to put a Tokidoki tag in one of em and get another one on the inside in a different pic, BEWARE.

Very thorough! I added iced.milkshake to the list.
February 13th, 2008 at 9:43 pm

She immediatly relisted and sold to someone. When I check her past sales she has been doing this for a while. They all have flower spring on them. Seller is totoro723. Warn others!

Beware, chillyair has pretty realistic fakes. They have three bags up and one of them I couldn’t even tell was fake, I’m just asuming because the other two are.
February 17th, 2008 at 1:34 am
loveshahrukh advertises as Tokidoki Lesportsac, but then says it’s a bag copy in the description, but I think they belong on here anyway.
February 17th, 2008 at 1:44 am
I see that the list was updated, but also that bagsbluepom didn’t make it on. I’m wondering if this was just a mistake?

chillyair currently has 2 supposedly stellina bags in inferno and spiaggia print for sale right now–again, hard to tell they’re fakes. yikes! if you look very closely between the 2 front pockets on the inferno you can see the letters “Flo” but otherwise hard to tell. the Spiaggia is even harder to tell. sadly, the bids are already high on these items!
here’s the item numbers

February 25th, 2008 at 3:25 am
larecycled says tokidoki style in the item name and says not lesportsac in description, but I thought should go on here for good measure.
February 25th, 2008 at 3:33 am
I know that rongrong82388 is already on the list, but they have a supposed listing for a Transporto Ciao Ciao, and then show a picture of a Paradisio Nuvola. They also have the same item name for two other items and show a picture of a Tutti Buon Viaggio. Is there some way to report this to Ebay? February 28th, 2008 at 5:18 am
I’d like to get imput from others here, and to answer the question I suggest looking at the link first. The listing looks good, with the exception that the pic is of a Bella Bella, not a Ciao Ciao. I generally jump to flag something when the picture and the title don’t match up, but I’m thinking that this might have just been a genuine mistake and the seller typed in the only other bag name that is the same word twice. We all make mistakes, right? They only have one other Tokidoki feedback dating back two months, I didn’t look back further.

February 29th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Hi,
I haven’t written for a while but I have been busy reporting fake Tokidoki bags I spot on eBay. I’m becoming more and more frustrated with Sotalli (Store: KooKaManga). He’s been on your list for quite a while now and I know I’ve reported more than 100 of his listed items. Why does eBay not remove them? Actually, I believe that they overlook his obvious fakes because of the number of sales he has each month. Do you think it would do any good to report the listing numbers to Tokidoki?
Anyway…..once again thanks for having this website and for all the work you do.
I just want to let people know that some Macy’s stores have cute Tokidoki shirts for around $35 and some winter jackets are 25% off.
February 29th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
tokiluver- we should all report that seller to tokidoki.it since they have the page about reporting fakes to them! they might actually be able to DO something about them! that would be so nice!! has anyone done this + had luck with them removing stuff?
February 29th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Alli — O.K. Let’s report Sotalli to Tokidoki. They’ll probably have more impact on eBay than we lowly buyers do. I really think eBay cares more about the money they make from the large sellers than about the fact that the items being sold are counterfeit. When I called eBay and spoke to a real person, he said, “I’m sorry you feel that way.” This is the typical answer you get to try to placate you….but it accomplishes nothing. It probably wasn’t even reported to the people who can do something about the listings.
March 1st, 2008 at 2:59 am
Alli - I reported 40 (out of many more) of Sotalli’s current listings of counterfeit Tokidoki bags to the Tokidoki website. They responded immediately with an auto-email which said that they receive so many reports, it may take a few days for me to get a reply from a real person. They also said that every report is investigated. I’m hoping they send me the results of the investigation. Let’s keep a close watch on Sotalli’s listings to see if the “Tokidoki” items are removed.

taykeahi - Not to sound mean, but one link to the fake seller’s stuff would work just fine instead of all those numbers.
March 3rd, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Liza - The Citta Scuola that you asked about is real.
stars98 - Post a link to the bags you are referring to so that we can check.
taykeahi & Hunty - New fake sellers added to the list. Also, agreed with Hunty that links are much easier for me to check up on that manually looking up auction numbers - just copy/paste the fake auction URL into a new comment.
Pash - I am glad you checked here first too!

Hiyas! I just purchased a wallet from ebay… though, I’m assuming the design is so old, its not ever going to be posted on this site as real or fake? I would love some inquiry about it! the wallet itself doesnt fit credit cards, drivers license, or even coins and cash/notes properly…. also, there is some shoddy stitching around the outer fold.. which I HAVE seen in many other photos on reputable websites…..
anyone have any input on this UK seller?
freakyfashions2005
Also, my wallet is a bit more of a darker blue than the photo.. but I assumed it was a lighting issue.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230226506 533
ALSO… should the stitching between the skull logo and the tokidoki words be noticeably connected? The photos shows now, but the one I received has cross stitching
Thanks!!!
March 6th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
HachiDori - Freakyfashions2005 have real tokidoki items, that wallet was a european exclusive before tokidoki collaborated with lesportsac.
O_o; if nothing fits the pockets in the wallet, then something is wrong. From what you are describing, it sounds suspicious.

As far as I can tell, it’s real. There are some clear signs of fakes if you read the guide.

does this denaro auction look suspicious to anyone else?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120230194 626
aside from the the photos having different backgrounds (one light/one dark) there is something off about the tags. on the first picture, the toki tags are attached to the zipper. on the second picture, there is no tag. and i SWEAR i’ve seen that second picture on another auction.
is my spidey sense correct on this one?
March 7th, 2008 at 7:43 pm
A) They’re bad photos.
B) If you’ve seen them on another auction, odds are that they’re stolen pics.
Other than that, from what I can tell, the denaro is real
March 8th, 2008 at 1:40 am
i dont feel its rite to steal picture from another person except when its a solid print..
each tokidoki bag has different cut from the piece.

Yesterday I suggested seattle_butterfly for the list. Today I was looking at Tokidoki bags and found something real from them. After checking them out, just now, I find that they fit the criteria for your list of real sellers. The problem is that they have both real and obviously fake bags listed now, as Tokidoki. Please check out their list of items for sale and get back to me on this.

Raychel - seattle_butterfly does not have any fake tokidoki bags listed - only real. You might be confusing “keyword spamming” with fakeness.

Does the INSIDE pocket of a tokidoki bag have riri on it? Mine is blank : [
March 17th, 2008 at 4:25 am
i see chillyair’s name on the fake list. i only found this site and list after purchasing a FAKE bag from her. has anyone dealt with her? i sent the bag back to her and she still has not refunded me. ebay and paypal are worthless and i am done with both. what a giant bummer…
March 17th, 2008 at 9:14 am
Maddie - No. the inside pocket has regular plastic zipper that the color match with the inside lining. the zipper pull is metal but no riri on it.
March 17th, 2008 at 9:53 am
chris - I have never dealt with any fake seller, however it looks like someone else is having the same problem that you are if you check chillyair’s feedback.

I think that one is fake
March 19th, 2008 at 2:03 am
Is this bag real? The bag looks real but the qee doesn’t — the chain looks too skinny and the right ear doesn’t have the tiny red spots on it. (All mine have small red and black flecks on the ear — do they all have that?) When I asked if the bag was authentic and if it had store tags attached this is the answer I got:
“This is a dropshipped item, I have too many items at my house already and just wanted to see how well these sell so i only have the pictures and information listed. ”
What does that mean? You might not get the bag pictured?
Thanks for any help w/this someone might have.

frego — fake OP campeggio. ball chain too thin, lesportsac logo band is too wide + just funky.
March 19th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
taykeahi & yola — yup, those are all fake
March 20th, 2008 at 2:59 am
Alli — You’re right about the bag listed by frego. There is no zipper in the back. Read her response to a question.
I also wanted to tell you that after reporting the more than 40 listings by sotalli, eBay has done absolutely NOTHING. He still has “Tokidoki” cosmetic bags listed for $15 a piece for which he probably paid 50 cents.
The only way eBay will do something is if LeSportsac and Tokidoki file a lawsuit against them just as Tiffany’s and another company did about two years ago.

Also, a side note. Today I saw something pretty surprising. I was at Eastridge Mall in San Jose, CA and I went in the Sanrio store and there was a big shelf full of fake Tokidoki bags for sale, it looked like they had just fake inferno and fake original prints (they were all of the “Flowers Spring” variety). I couldn’t believe it. I know that Sanrio stores are franchised, but I had no idea that they could sell fake Tokidoki bags. Interesting. I wonder if Sanrio corporate knew about that, if they would allow it.

March 23rd, 2008 at 3:42 am
Hi Michiko- I’ve been to Eastridge Sanrio also and seen the same big shelf of fake tokidoki bags. I wondered the same exact thing as you. They’ve had them there for a while (at least a year) and when I first heard about the tokidoki collaboration, my husband said they probably will not pick this store to sell the real stuff in since they sell the fakes! (Didn’t know about the 4 stores chosen at the time.) Can you imagine them selling the fakes right along side the real stuff?
I thought they were really bold to move the display of fakes to the window, they used to be kind of hidden in the back area. I would think they could get in big trouble!!!
March 24th, 2008 at 2:51 am
Hello all, I would like some help for this Inferno Trenino, I was planning to buy it from Ebay store:Ann’s Corner Shoppe (on the real Tokidoki seller list), but I saw this one on bid now, and the price is not that bad, so I was wondering if it real or not. From looking at the pictures, I am pretty sure it’s real, but the feedback people left doesn’t really tell me that they received a real Tokidoki bag or not, so I am still suspious about it.~ thanks for the help!!^^

Hey Alli and Everyone Else,
I am so excited….sotalli’s Tokidoki items have finally been removed from eBay. I reported him to Tokidoki on February 29 and received an email from a REAL person confirming that the bags are fakes and that they would be removed. It took a month but it is accomplished. I am sad to say, though, that he still has several LeSportsac counterfeits listed; but since they don’t contain the name Tokidoki, I guess they need to be reported to LeSportsac.
I suggest that everyone contact both eBay AND Tokidoki with the item numbers of counterfeit bags you spot on eBay.

March 31st, 2008 at 9:14 pm
You know a lot of these sellers have just bought fake bags themselves and want to get rid of it. Faeriesoda is my friend and she bought a bag thinking it was real. It’s too bad a lot of these sellers don’t know when they themselves are buying fakes.
April 1st, 2008 at 12:33 am
True REM, i agree with you.. I bought TOki Bags from Macy’s and i always double check, its not macys that sell fake bags, its the too easy to return policy that could end up *bad* people returning *fake toki* with *real receipt* and Real Price tags.. altho i havent seen one myself…
i have seen few bags in Macy’s that was price tag wrong, EX: a dolce bag tag with a Gioco price tag. a stellina price tag with a zucca tag.. those are all RE-TAGS. that means most likely its return….

“taykeahi Said: dnew01, a very fake pirata that even says flower spring for $250″

I have been searching for older prints and paid nearly $200 only to find out it was a fake. I’m disputing it right now with that web site because the seller listed it as “authentic”. I’ve never seen people so devoted to something. I wish Louis vuitton and Gucci, etc. had people like the tokidoki blog looking out for people.
April 1st, 2008 at 10:38 pm
Rem, Sorry to hear that… but if you wish to purchase older print.. constantly check with this blog. cause a lot of older prints are re-release in Hawaii, Altho the price is a bit higher than normal US Price . but still worth because it guarantee Authentic…
April 2nd, 2008 at 10:57 am
Krisha- Trust me, I know exactly why I never heard from them..my “sad” comment was more for the fact that they had the nerve to rudely claim their purse was real when it was such an obvious fake. Their listing was reported to Ebay by someone and taken off of the site. Jerks

Oh,congrats! I sold my Burberry bag for a tokidoki lamore gioco I just won on ebay! Seller has good feedback and such. I also got my friend a vacanze gioco, and it was so cute I hadto get the buon viaggio for myself. :X
Thanks tofufar for the info. ^^

Peanut_n_honey has something odd going on. She’s really nice and honest, but please someone look at her merchandise because she says she has multiple lamore giocos and lamore mamma mias, I’ve seen her list three mama mia lamore prints in the past two weeks.

My first sale of lesportsac bag, and I did not even know it was fake. I was just selling because I am too old to use one of these bags. I have all the conventional lesportsac bags and know they are all authentic because I purchase them from department stores. Please take my name off as I certainly did not know about the bag being fake and would not knowingly try to sell one. I am sorry I did not check to see if it was real. My apologies. Thank you. Ethantot
April 6th, 2008 at 3:40 am
FYI - REM Lamore and Citta Rosa is actually available at the DFS shops at Waikiki and airport location in Hawaii right now so I’m not sure what you think is “odd”. I live on Maui and I purchased a couple items from peanut_n_honey and have never had any issues–also peanut_n_honey is also on the real sellers list :).
April 6th, 2008 at 10:47 am
ethantot - I’m curious how you found this list.
Rem - I agree with TOKIinHI that I don’t see anything odd going on for the same reasons that she listed.
April 6th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
ethantot-while I’m sure that you have a valid concern being on the fake list - if you read throughout this blog…the “i didn’t know it was fake” defense has been over-used. Not to say that it isn’t a legit reason in your case but the fact of the matter is…you sold a FAKE lesportsac which is the criteria for being on the fake list.
Rule of thumb….if you aren’t sure of it’s authenticity…don’t sell it.

I think Tokidoki lovers are VERY lucky that the fakes are very easy to distinguish since they don’t ay “tokidoki for lesportsac” on them. I know LV’s have been taken into actual LV boutiques and authenticated when they were definitely fake. But Tokdoki is made in China and surprisingly, the knock-offs (I’m still trying to return…) are the same quality as my authentic gioco. They’re probably the same parts from the same factory. It’s a strange situation….
April 13th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Tofufar, I’m not going to buy the bag. I just wanted to indicate another seller probably offering the fakes.
April 13th, 2008 at 10:44 am
Kitty - Oh… at least its posted here to warn people to be careful not to buy that item…
Rem - for those FAke LVs.. what i heard is they use the same Material as the real LVs… for the older version - they use whatever part of the material to make the bag. thats why the pattern came out to be weird and the connecting side of the pattern is not matching each other.. but for the newer version *they call it *A++ goods* those are very carefully made, and hard to spot.. those so call A++ are selling at about 30-40% off the authentic price..
April 13th, 2008 at 7:54 pm
Tofufar -yes, but I’m saying that tokidoki bags are made in china, and honestly, the product is obviously different, but side by side they are literally the same -save the print is a bit off and the zipper isn’t riri. I still want to get my money back… which is taking a very long time for the website to respond. Does anyone know how much the hello kitty for tokidoki boston bag costs??

Hi Everyone,
I would like to warn you about a possible seller of a counterfeit Tokidoki bag. I bid and won a Luna Bianco http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=22022144 8042
Instead of questioning the authenticity beforehand, I mistakenly waited until the auction closed before sending an email asking if “riri” appears on the underside of the zipper. I received the following email from her:
“you are supposed to ask all questions before bidding, not after auction is over. all my things are authentic, and my description says so however, i do not like your attetude and swould like to cancel the transaction.”
The fact that she became so defensive when I asked a simple benign question makes me suspicious. A normal response should have either confirmed the authenticity or an apology that the bag was “mistakenly” listed as authentic. She also has some negative feedback regarding the authenticity of several other non-Tokidoki items.
I cannot emphasize enough to ask for more pictures if they are not on the listing. I’m just glad I’m not out the money or have to deal with a dispute.
April 14th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
It just proves that if you want the real thing, you must go to the REAL source and and expect to pay the REAL price:) DUH!
April 14th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
Tokilover - the seller is too offensive and doesnt treat her custmer nicely even if she prove the item to be authentic.. *this case apparently its very questionable when she got so offensive..
next time make sure u remember to ask all questions before you place bid.. Luckily you didnt send any money out..
as an authentic tokidoki seller myself, i rarely take pictures of the RIRI, and i also link this site as references.. sometimes when people question about my bags i had the feeling is i am on the REAL list why asking so much questions… but i always remind myself that… they just want to spend their money RIGHT..
MH - just curious what is the definition of Real price ??
- each bag has its own value and its also up to the seller for how much
he/she is willing to sell the bag for…
April 14th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
tokilover - The bag in that auction looks very real to me - although there is nothing stopping the seller from sending you a fake instead of the real item pictured. The price seems right to me as well - Bianco bags were at the discount stores for at least 65% off. I can’t imagine anyone faking that “print” since it wasn’t a big seller. The seller was quite rude and there is no excuse for that, but maybe they were afraid that you were going to be a problem customer who was going to try to scam them out of a refund for a real bag by claiming it was fake. I do have to agree that you should always ask questions before, and not after, bidding.
April 14th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
Tokiblog,
You expressed my thoughts perfectly. Since the Bianco wasn’t as popular as the prints, I knew the price was right. I just wanted to confirm that it had riri on the zipper….I didn’t even ask for a photo. There may be another reason she wants to cancel the sale; she was hoping it would sell for a higher price. But, frankly I don’t want to deal with her now. If you read her feedback, you can see that she had “issues” with other buyers.
Thanks again for all your time and effort put into this blog. I promise to confirm authenticity before placing any future bids.
April 14th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
I really want this bag…but does it look like the carabiner is real. The seller sells items for others…so it could be ANYONE’S bag! The seller is from Hawaii however. It ends in 8 hours!!

Do many people sell Fake clothes?
Apart from an unknown pattern how could you tell?
Kx
April 15th, 2008 at 10:55 am
taykeahi - Despite the very poor quality pictures, both bags appear real. I am pretty sure that the qee on the first bag is the Hawaii state qee - which the seller bought separately and attached herself. I do that often with my bags too.
keely - No, they don’t. There is more money in selling fake bags. The general sign of fake clothing is a pattern and/or style that never existed, although I have heard there are some fake tees out there too that are distinguished by their poor quality.

this already on the fake list… just want to show how fake this one is…
April 16th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
I want to remind everyone to please report all the fakes they spot to eBay. You need to click the link “Report This Item” and then on the following:
“Counterfeits and copyright violations,” “Potential trademark infringement,” “Counterfeit handbags,” and then finally under “Customer Support, ” click on email. You must send them the listing number of the item. If eBay receives many emails with the same listing number, they are more likely to investigate the authenticity of the item.
I also had great success with reporting a seller to the official Tokidoki website. The seller “sotalli” no longer has any Tokidoki items listed, although he is selling counterfeit LeSportsac bags. I received 2 emails from a REAL PERSON at Tokidoki thanking me and assuring me that the items were removed.
April 18th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Here is a fake that you have to look really closely to:

Rem - LeSportsac Does have this print… apparently this is a fake toki + its also a fake LeSportsac Too…
Hunty - Haha… altho its a fake Toki, dont know if ebay can still banned it since no where on its page said Lesportsac nor TOKIDOKI…
also want to mention something out of topic…
i recently purchase Tokidoki Bag on ebay .. i received the bag.. its AUTHENTIC… only problem is its full of smoke smell…
well i did not inform the seller or give negative feedback because its part of my fault i didnt ask beforehand..
just a note.. people, when you buy you bags make sure to check if the seller is smoke free + pet free.. you definitely dont want to carry a bag that will make u have alergic reaction..
and i relize i also has to add that to the item i sell because its very important..
April 23rd, 2008 at 4:26 pm
Tofufar - I can understand wanting a seller to be smoke free because that smoke smell gets into everything, but I think wanting a seller to be “pet free” is absurd. I think it is HIGHLY unlikely that anyone lets their bags come into contact with a pet to the level where the bag would have enough dander on/in it to produce an allergic reaction. Plus, dander can be brushed right off. It doesn’t permeate into fabric like smoke does. Sorry, but the “pet free” thing in eBay descriptions really irks me to the point where it actually turns me off as a buyer.
April 23rd, 2008 at 5:16 pm
yah you are rite.. the pet free thing came up to me as i saw someone put it there on some selling..

I don’t like people who sell fakes brands knowing it, and who buy
too.
In Japan there is not many fake tokidoki in Yahoo Aution like others
countries, but when I find any, I declare it as fake, but
Yahoo Aution do not take it Seriously ’cause in any occation the
Aution never be removed, and someone bid and bought it.
April 27th, 2008 at 6:56 pm
I had several LV’s….and I still have 3 left. I can generally spot a fake..after owning them for so long. It is so sad that people think they are getting a good deal for a LV…like for the Multicolor Speedy 30…they might pay $900 - $1,200. for a FAKE…The real one is I believe almost or is over $2,000. I purchased mine when it was about $1,600. First of Louis Vuitton never ever goes on sale. Only a selected website sells them..E-Luxury and the actual LV site. Also I know some were not even made in those patterns and styles as well.
I do however, have a more difficult time spotting a fake Tokidoki, because I still new with this. I bout a L’Amore Caramella….and I checked for all the signs, and I believe it authentic. I will be using this as makeup bag, so therefore, the pull cord was in the way, and I had to cut it out. Now of course it isn’t worth anything, but it works for me. So if it isn’t real I am definitely out luck!!…
April 27th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
Can anyone tell me it this Tokidokie Caramella Bag I purchased on Ebay real? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! THANKS SO MUCH.

I have already purchased it, and removed the cabiner, but I am still curious, because if it is not real…I will not want to use it!!!
April 27th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
This is for Deborah. So far to me, it looks kinda real but what you should have done is ask for more pictures. A picture of the zipper would have been nice; if’s its new, why is the qee out of its plastic; when ebay buyers read the condition status of whatever product that is being sold…they want to read either new or used and so your seller did not state either one in the condition statement in big letters. Again, if the product was bought at a lesportsac retail store even with the re-lease of the lamore WHY THE HEEK DID THE SELLER REMOVE THE TAGS AND THE PLASTIC OF THE QEE IF HE/SHE WAS GOING TO SELL IT ON EBAY!!! And lastly, he/she should have taken a picture of the zipper where it says “riri”. Once you get the product, you should really look at the product and if it’s real, great. But remember the listing said NEW and something tells me it’s used and you shouldn’t have paid that vast amount of money for a USED product and I know you can fight and get your money back, it if it is used. Hope I helped.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Any seller who begins a ebay listing of any tokidoki bag ESPECIALLY a rare and no longer printed bag, supposedly NEW, is selling a fake because if I were selling rare, new and real tokidoki bags, my listing would not even come close to the starting bid of 5 bucks. All sellers who sell real tokidoki bags make sure to take as many pictures of the bags with all the zippers, “riri” imprint, chain, tags and qee w/ the the plastic on. I mean seriously…any seller who is loyal to the tokidoki brand, as well as being a total owner themself, would make sure of taking these pictures that are posted on their listing.
April 27th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
I don’t think the starting bid price indicates a fake, I have seen many reputable sellers, for example beautifully*big*duds sells tokidoki bagss starting low. But I agree that if the bag is real the seller takes the time to photograph it.
April 28th, 2008 at 11:44 am
I agree with you, Mikuru - Starting a bid lower doesn’t mean it’s fake it actually attracts more buyers. While it is nice for sellers to post as many pictures as possible..if you are unsure of a particular brand’s authenticity indicators whether it be Tokidoki or any other designer, you SHOULDN’T be buying it off of ebay. I say do your homework first before risking your money.
April 28th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Thanks Elizabeth…Yes the zipper definitely has the “riri” and everything on the website for real ones it is. I do think it was used however, but I already cut the cabiner out, and it has been too long. I still love it, I just want it to be real. Yes, I do agree that is bit too much, for used.
I have asked some Sellers why the qee is out of the plastic and they say they purchased it at Bloomingdales, and other’s must have wanted a closer look, but it is authentic. So go figure.

The LV’s are relatively easy to get authentic ones, but the fakes are there too. I actually got an authentic malletier louis wallet for $30. The tokidoki in my opinion is easier to tell the fakes from originals because the fakes say “flower’s spring” or some weird crap. If it doesn’t say “tokidoki for LeSportsac” then is it a fake.

This user on ebay - sells fake Toki Doki bags too
http://kira-pockylover.livejournal.com/
May 4th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
Just to note: Designer Inspired bags are not fakes. Fakes carry the tokidoki name and are represented as being REAL-AUTHENTIC-ETC. If a seller on eBay states that the bags are designer inspired, doesn’t mention brand names, lets the buyers know that the design or style is simply inspired, and that the items do not contain trademarks or logos of other companies then they are not selling replicas or fakes. If you want a real tokidoki bag, please don’t buy on eBay. That’s obvious. If you want an authentic bag, read the auction and make sure it’s not a legal designer inspired. If you want to get a designer inspired because they cost less and give you the same feel of an authentic without the name or price tag - good for you. Either way you list is inaccurate. I see a lot of sellers that sell inspired bags that aren’t illegal and do not carry any name brands. Instead of giving these sellers a bad name - research first. Go after the a-holes who make a pretty penny of the original designers name - not the ones who make next to nothing off of designer inspired.

good thing that my friend and this website is here now i wont be tricked..but the bags (REAL ONES) are to expence i would understand why they would buy them. haha..my cusion wants one and we were like “HELL NEH!!! Designer Inspired Seller - UH I’m sure there’s a viable argument in what your saying…I guess I just don’t get it. A “designer inspired bag” is a knock-off…a COPY of an artist’s work….in my opinion a FAKE…
Personally I am a graphic artist and it would piss me off to no end if someone took one of my designs that I put time into and passed it off as designer inspired to make a profit off of my hard work.
You said… “If you want a real tokidoki bag, please don’t buy on eBay. That’s obvious” Why? I’ve purchased several tokidoki items on ebay without a problem and all were authentic. I don’t think that’s a fair statement…especially coming from someone who sells knock-offs…oh sorry I meant “designer inspired bags.”
May 4th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Here is another counterfeit bag I came across by chance listed by hoku101:

To Designer Inspired Seller,
No matter how you state it you are selling counterfeit bags. Although the actual bag style cannot be copyrighted, the pattern design and fabric belong to the company or individual who manufactured it. When you sell “inspired bags” you are stealing the design that someone spent a lot of time and effort on.
Also, even though it is “buyer beware” for anything you buy, particularly on eBay, you are tricking many buyers into thinking that they are purchasing an authentic bag. I can spot a fake Tokidoki bag a mile away and know that the person carrying the bag was duped by sellers like you or was trying to save money. I would rather buy an inexpensive “non-designer” bag than carry a counterfeit. The person who carries the bag may think she’s getting the “same feel”; however, the quality is not as good and there is no one to call if there is a defect. LeSportsac stands behind their merchandise and you are assured of getting a quality product.
I purchase and sell AUTHENTIC Tokidoki merchandise on eBay and resent the fact that you said, “If you want a real tokidoki bag, please don’t buy on eBay.” When a bag is authentic, the seller posts as many pictures as possible showing the trademarks that distinguish the bag from a counterfeit one.
May 4th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
To Nilly,
If you and your friends want to buy fake Tokidoki or any other fake brand of bags, people will be able to tell the difference when you carry them. All Tokidoki lovers can spot counterfeit bags and think that you were tricked by a dishonest seller or that you wanted to save money. Remember that the quality is not as good because they use a different type of material, not the rip-stop nylon that LeSportsac is known for.
Imagine if you were the designer who spent weeks or months on a design and then someone stole it from you and made a lot of money. How would you feel…..happy that your design was so popular or violated because someone ripped you off?
By purchasing counterfeit items, you are also supporting criminal activities. Tokidoki has ongoing investigations into illegal manufacturing in Thailand and China. In fact, they are offering a reward to anyone who can give them information leading to the closing of these illegal factories. Check on the official website: tokidoki.com
May 4th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
What designer inspired seller is saying is that he/she is being upfront about the product they are selling by saying it is designer inspired and not the real thing. I’ve seen many bags on ebay where the seller says “this is not a real tokidoki bag….if you want the real thing this is not the auction for you”. As long as the price is fairly inexpensive, I think that is fine to do.
Unfortunately, in this blog/forum, that is not going to sit well with many people as they feel that is stealing from the designer. I see both sides of the arguement. Somehow, I don’t think Simone is hurting for money. As much as I love tokidoki bags, they are overpriced. I don’t think a wallet should cost almost as much as a purse, but maybe I’m alone in that opinion. That being said, I don’t own any fake bags and don’t plan on it. I can see both sides and think there is a market for both real and fake bags. Not everyone can justify paying over $100 for a purse.
May 4th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
Kritz - Agreed - however this blog should not be the soap box for designer inspired seller to stand on to justify why he/she sells designer inspired products whether it be tokidoki or whatever. The fact that he/she is being upfront about selling a designer inspired bag seriously cuts no ice with me.
Your right I don’t think Simone is hurting for money but it’s not about money it’s about principal…it’s about spending the time and putting ones heart into a design to end up having someone copy it…change around colors and sell it for profit…that’s not right.
May 4th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
You’re right…this isn’t the place for it. Looking back at her post, she says she makes next to nothing selling fake bags. If it isn’t profitable, why do it in the first place? You know she has to have some degree of guilt if she feels the need to defend herself. Doesn’t sound worth it.
May 4th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
Kritz,
If someone does not want to pay over $100 for a purse, Macy’s and other department stores have sales with bags marked down 20% to 50% and you can use coupons for an additional discount. You can also purchase bags at discount stores such as Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls which get unsold bags from the major department stores and direct from manufacturers.
I agree that many bags are overpriced, but that still does not justify buying counterfeit “designer inspired” bags. There are many legitimate companies that produce “inspired” bags, such as Nine West. They make decent bags imitating Coach bags but use a different pattern on the fabric.
May 4th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Thats cool, I’m not disagreeing with you, I just see both sides of the fence. Unfortunately for me, nowhere near me (not even macys) sold tokidokis. I didn’t have the luxury of getting any kind of a discount, I’ve had to buy mine on ebay. True, I did get into them late, but I would have noticed them at Macys. I guess I would have to go to a major city to find them.
When I first saw the prints online, I thought “i HAVE to have one of those”. Then I saw the price. Since I’m not into designer anything, I had a case of sticker shock. At that time, I would not have been able to tell the difference between a real or a fake bag, and probably would have been happy with a fake one. As my obsession went on, I can now easily tell the difference and think the fake ones are pretty ugly. I’m not saying that selling or buying fake bags is the “right” thing to do, but I can understand why someone might want to buy a fake one. Thats all.
On a side note, I’m looking to buy a few toki Tshirts but have heard they may run a bit on the small side? I have a few hoodies in medium and they fit perfectly, but would I need a larger size in the Tshirts? Any help would be appreciated.
May 4th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
Kritz -
YES they run small…I normally take a medium but had to step up to a large for the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty Clothing. They definitely run smaller than regular Tokidoki clothing.

To comment on Deborah’s and Elizabeth’s comments:
I was wondering about that seller as well. i was interested in one of her auctions. If it’s not obvious to whether it’s new or not, like visable stains/wear, I think it’s really up to the buyers/sellers interpretation of what “NEW” is. If you buy something, get it home, take the tags off and all with the intentions of using it BUT never do, essentially to that person it still is new, seeing as they’ve never used it. where as a buyer having the tags in place and wrapper on the qee might be a requirement for something to be new. I know from experience that i’ve have walked into Macy’s, went over to the toki section and have seen bags with missing tags both price and black ones, missing qees, qees with no wrappers, and they are selling them as new.
May 8th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
DHgate is another website that sells fake tokidoki bags listed as “authentic”. I purchased some accidentally, and spoke to the administrators, and am in the process of getting a refund, but it cost me $25 to ship it back.
May 9th, 2008 at 5:07 pm
trisha- that’s real from before the lesportsac collaboration, and it’s european-only.
nxdlamb, are you asking about ebayer:yuso, too? the stuff they have up right now is real.
cereza–the listing’s gone, but was it original print with a black background? yeah, that’s fake.
May 9th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Thanks, Alli……8) Actually i knew her stuff was real, but the question was if her stuff was truely new as her auctions state. i think the above poster was wondering if her stuff was new because some of Yuso’s stuff was either missing tags and/or the qee wasn’t in plastic. I was just putting in my 2 cents….8) but i was interested in one of her auctions, too.

Hey guys, in the event that a fake is purchased, will ebay refund you? If someone lists it as authentic but let’s say it turns out they are lying? I want to buy one but my hubby is worried I won’t get my money back if it is
also, the person listing says “no refunds!” scary….

Talk about fakes and frauds! Having names of people on your list who do not sell tokidoki fakes is fradulent. Do you ever remove names from the list? If so, what is the proceedure?
May 21st, 2008 at 3:42 pm
coolray2- everyone on this list has sold a fake before. just because you’re on here and are upset, doesn’t make it fraudulent.

May 22nd, 2008 at 12:34 am
I’m not upset. Just realistic! Your group is quick to judge, but slow to take a good look at themselves!
May 22nd, 2008 at 1:25 am
coolray2…so why don’t you tell us what your seller ID name is? I highly doubt your name would be on the list if you do/did not sell tokidoki fakes.
May 22nd, 2008 at 3:06 am
coolray2 - “slow to take a good look at themselves” - how? in what way? i see ourselves as potential buyers who want to protect ourselves in case we unluckily end up with a fake tokidoki in our hands.
and i agree with the others, if your name was ever on the list to begin with, there must have been good reason for it. because of the blog’s mod, many of us can now spot a fake a mile away.
May 22nd, 2008 at 11:40 am
cece - thanks for the comments. I am glad you can spot a fake a mile away. How many real tokidoki bags do you own? Being able to spot a real tokidoki has nothing to do with the mood of this blog. I wonder how many of the people who follow this blog know that when you post a name to your list, it shows up in other places on the internet, and you actually promote the spot for people who are looking to buy fake tokidoki bags! Helping people spot fakes is a good thing. Being vicious is not.

just to add my two cents..
- buyer who wants real toki bags..they will appriciate this blog so much….
- altho the fake list is able to search from internet… it does help people
that does not visit this blog regularly to spot fake toki..
- not to mention those who use this list and still go after for fake toki… its
their own choice…
- i am so glad that i am on the Real Seller List.. altho this is not official…
the list sorta give me motivation to double triple check my item before i
post it on ebay for sell..
- if you prefer not to have your name show on internet anywhere.. there’s
lot of stuff you need to stop using.. Email, search engine, do not own a
property, if ur home fone is under ur name, its register somewhere on
the internet.
- this blog is for Toki-Lovers who look for update news about toki, who
want to make sure the stuff they bought is real toki… and to share
experience regards to toki..
May 22nd, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Coolray2 - Authentic Tokidoki - 5, Fake Tokidoki - 0. How many bags have I owned in total before trading/selling them? Countless. Why should you need to know anyway?
And I said “mod”, not “mood”, as in moderator. It’s thanks to her we have this list in the first place.
I should hope that this list becomes known. It’s a hotspot for those who are actually looking to buy authentic Tokidoki. Obviously, people can refer to the list too if they WANT to buy fakes but this blog discourages the support of illegal practices.
But if you’re still upset with the way we’re treating the situation, you may wanna take up your concerns with those who really matter…

May 22nd, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Applause for Cece…..
May 22nd, 2008 at 4:20 pm
whoa, who’s being vicious? i didn’t get that vibe from anyone who’s responded on here, but it’s hard to tell how people mean things on the internet. i’m not sure what you mean, coolray2, by the “to take a look at themselves” thing, either. people come here to try not to get ripped off. what’s the problem with that?
oh, and to add to cece’s comment; tokidoki.it refers people back to this blog.
May 22nd, 2008 at 4:42 pm
cece - Thanks! You have proved my point. I do know the difference between mod and mood, and my reference was to the mood of these comments. I support you in your efforts to show people how to spot fake tokidoki bags, so they can buy responsibily. The responses I have received do show the mood of some people who are not really looking for information of how to spot fakes, but are out to get someone. I am not upset, because I am not that someone.
May 22nd, 2008 at 5:16 pm
OMFG…. than really what’s the point of your posts?????
You make comments like “Your group is quick to judge, but slow to take a good look at themselves!” and “Talk about fakes and frauds! Having names of people on your list who do not sell tokidoki fakes is fradulent” seriously…what kinds of comments were you expecting to receive.
May 22nd, 2008 at 5:45 pm
My original question was: Do you ever remove the name of someone from your list who is not selling fake tokidoki bags. I expected the comment to be: Yes, and this is the proceedure. The point of my post was that if someone listed a fake tokidoki bag not knowing it was a fake, and has corrected the error, you should be as quick to amend your list, as you are to blindly judge. Your service of helping people spot fakes is good. Thanks for your comments.
May 22nd, 2008 at 6:57 pm
Coolray2- The thing about it is…if you’ve read past posts regarding this very same issue..it seems that the “I didn’t know it was fake” excuse has been overused – if I got a penny for each time I’ve heard/read that I’d be a very rich woman.
In no way am I saying that is the case with you but the fact of the matter is… Part of the responsibility of a seller is to know the product that you are selling…if you don’t know enough about your items….you really shouldn’t be selling it. The same goes for buyers – if you don’t know the authenticity indicators on a certain brand…you need to do your homework first or else there’s a high probability that you’ll end up buying a high priced fake…which is why there are forums like these where the intent is to educate buyers as well as sellers.

Every day, we found many fake tokidoki in the web.
Really the factories in China and Thailand are
creating more and more fakes.
So that recently many fakes arrived to Japan.
Many people buy althought knowing that is a fake product.
we (Tokidoki fans)can’t do anything to avoid 100% ,
is a sad reality.;;;;;;;;;;
Any times the buyer realize that it is fake after the buyer
successful bid.
So that he cancel his bid, and automaticaly recieve a
negative feeback.
(In Yahoo Auction Japan, when you cancel any transaction,
automaticaly you get a negative feedback)
I hate fakes! so that I send a mail to LeSportsac Japan,
and responded me to do anything to avoid fakes,
but no responsibility………….mmmm

sad !!! I was in Canada and visit a Chinese Mall. Most of the Bag store there.. sell FAKES Tokidoki… very fakes one.. like pencil case, cosmetic case.. i manage to take one picture only… I am afraid they will chase me out.. i will upload to Stephanie when i have time…
CEREZA - i dont know if you are a seller on ebay.. start from last week.. EBAY Seller no longer be able to leave negative feedback for buyer… that is a good thing that will protect the buyer and sorta *punish* the fake seller.. but for real seller like us.. i think its a very bad idea if we met bad buyers…
bad buyers case..
I work for a company selling car accessories.. one of the buyer purchase our product and he want his money back. what he does is file a claim on paypal state that he wants his money back and return the product.. instead of sending the original product. he send us an EMPTY UPS envelope with a valid shipping label (*with same LBS, and measurement of the parts.) once we received and sign for the *Envelope*.. Paypal automatically refund him.) this person took our product and our money.. i have file claim with Paypal and ebay.. what paypal told us was * You have to file with the local authorities to report this matter.*… and YOU KNOW WHAT… we can not give negative feedback due to EBAY NEW POLICY…
sorry if i talk too much out of the topic.
May 30th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Tofufar–I agree with you. I also sell on eBay under another name and it is definitely frustrating not to be able to leave negative feedback for non-paying or vindictive buyers. I believe that eBay implemented this because some sellers were abusive or unfair and eBay wants the buyers to feel “comfortable” leaving feedback.
May 31st, 2008 at 8:26 am
Tofufar, I am only a Buyer of Ebay, but I think that is
very difficult to control the feedback perfectly.
I was talking about Yahoo Auction Japan.
poor of the buyer that bid fake items…..and cancel it.
Don’t let make yourself fool!!, but some people are
so shrewd to fool!..
really, in you case the buyer were a fraud.
but the new policy of Ebay is not correct,
because it do not avoid anything and all will be
same….
bad buyer, bud seller abound In this world of the
Internet…..
We must be very careful….(–;)

June 4th, 2008 at 1:24 am
ASHLEY - All Tokidoki LeSportSac bags and the Hello Kitty collaboration are made in China while the Tokidoki clothing (US releases) are made either in US or in China. Tokidoki for LSS prices are inflated in Japan, I assume because of the import fees and brand names are generally extremely expensive there.
As for China… I think it’s just a matter of knowing where to buy them. It’s got the biggest concentration of imitation-brand name vendors but cities like Shanghai carry tons of authentic brand names too. I hear Hong Kong sells lots of authentic bags, Tokidoki in particular, at cheap prices though.

Are Tokidoki t-shirts faked? eBay seller “fammtx4″ has a number of hula hoop girl t-shirts listed and I was wondering if they were authentic. Thanks to anyone who can help me
June 20th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
I’m new here but this site has already saved me from buying a fake Tokidoki ( the seller had the nerve to get mad at me!!) needless to say, don’t buy a Tokidoki from Ioffer. I did buy a Adios Star in Ciao Ciao from Tofufar and was very happy with the bag. I also just found a seller by the name of “Just*ducky*” that is selling a VERY bad knock off and charging buyers like it’s real. Check it out:

Thank you for your wonderful site and you will be seeing me around. I am determined to call out all the sellers that sell fakes!
June 20th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
I am copying and pasting a post I made in April to remind everyone how to report counterfeit items to eBay and Tokidoiki.

There’s a seller selling both real and replica on ioffer.com and just wanted to let it out there.

allie- fammtx4’s stuff is real. that’s just a way old shirt.
also, everyone should keep away from ioffer. people steal pictures from ebay and use fake pictures on there a lot.

Melissa - That qee is 100% real. You perhaps don’t realize you’re looking at the back of it?
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:50 am
Joy- You totally beat me at posting that very fake bag! Good job. As I posted before I was battling a seller on Ioffer about the fake bags they were selling and how I wouldn’t pay them. Apparently they forgot I didn’t pay them and sent me the bag anyways. Now I have one of THE WORST fakes ever and I am not sure what to do with it. Anyone have any suggestions? I can send it to someone and they can post pictures of it because I’m terrible at that sort of thing. I also wanted to thank all of you for keeping an eye out for fakes, seller and handbags out there. I am totally in love with the world of Tokidoki now!!
July 2nd, 2008 at 1:01 pm
April Luna - if the bag is big enough… use it as recycle bag for grocery shopping… its better than to just throw it away or keep it somewhere and you never use it rite ??
July 3rd, 2008 at 6:12 am
Hi!
And what about sellers who don’t deal in fakes on Ebay, but on some other bidding websites? Can we report them here as well, if only for verification? For instance, this is what I’ve encountered on the largest bidding website in my country - what caught my eye was a very low price. What do you guys think about it?

patricia - the person shows pics of tokidoki ads, but the bag is fake. the biggest clue is the zippers. on this blog, you can go to the guide for tokidoki fakes. that’s how i learned how to tell the real from the fake.

so far hello kitty X tokidoki stuff have not been imitate yet… + if you check the rating for the seller… 1500+ positive feedback.. is not easy to maintain… i do not see a reason she/he wants to sell fake..
also…
not on real list only proof that she/he didnt sell enough toki to be on real list.. it doesnt proof that she/he is selling fake..
July 3rd, 2008 at 9:03 pm
Thanks Tofufar. Anyone know what the hello kitty wallet retails for?
July 8th, 2008 at 10:44 am
Hey Tofufar,
Thanks for the suggestions with the bag. I think I might use it as a grocery shopping bag. It’s such a crappy fake. I love the Adios bag you sold me. You can definitely tell the difference in the quality.
Thanks Again!
July 8th, 2008 at 11:09 am
hi! thank you very much for your post on how to spot a fake bag. It is very helpful. I was also wondering, are there certian prints of tokidoki for lesportsac that came out in different countries and not the U.S.? I am asking because I was at Disneyland the other day and I saw someone with a tokidoki bag in a print and style I have never seen before. What I can best describe it as there was red trimming and it it looked like it had a cell phone pocket. Maybe a fake or just a print that came out in another country? If anyone can help answer my question it will be greatly apprectiated. Thank you!

I was in a store the other day here in hawaii and they had fake TD. Can they DO that? Isn’t that illegal?? I thought it was ok if it was the swap meet or something but in a store?? wow. Very sad…
July 8th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
AprilLuna - Haha… no wonder your name is so familiar i thought i seen it somewhere…
Dont know if we can report that psycho guy.. none of his desription said Tokidoki nor Lesportsac…
July 8th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
Tofufar — Yes, you can report psycho_tendencies since he is selling a counterfeit bag of the print designed by Tokidoki. You can copyright a print/pattern but not a bag style.
I’d also like to remind everyone that they can report counterfeit bags directly to Tokidoki on the official website. A REAL PERSON actually responds to your email. You should report any counterfeit bag to both eBay and Tokidoki Please scroll up to read my previous post on how to report eBay listings if you’re not sure how to do it.

I have a bella bag that has the following measurements 12 x 5 3/4 x 3 3/4. Is this a bella or a bella bella? it is a notte with citta lining. I know it is authentic, bought it myself and don’t remember what the tag says. But, when I compare the measurements to the bag archive on here, neither matches up. Anyone?? thanks in advance!
July 10th, 2008 at 12:54 am
Not sure if this really constitutes a “fake” but seller has it listed as a “NWT HELLO KITTY Pirate Tattoo Ink Tokidoki Sportsac Bag”
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370065674 351&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.d ll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D370065674351%26c ategory0%3D%26fvi%3D1

July 13th, 2008 at 2:02 pm
lilphil212 (on Ebay), not sure if they are selling fakes or too lazy to take their own photos. He (Phil) stole my Tutti Campeggio photos and my write up and he also stole another seller’s Pirata Buon Viaggio photos/write up. His reply was “You look reputable enough, I want people to have the same confidence as they would if they were buying from you. I only have a few of these bags. After that I wont bother your business any further. Thanks for the pics though!” He never asked for permission to borrow/steal the photos in the first place! Obviously his buyer will not get what is in my photos as we all know no two toki-bags are the same. I reported to Ebay over 2 days ago and it’s still “in the process”…
July 13th, 2008 at 4:01 pm
ebbb:
I saw his Pirata BV listing and noticed the photos are someone else’s. Initially thought he is re-selling the bag but was confused by the disclaimer “GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC & FIRST-HANDED, we do NOT resale items purchased from eBay!”
He didn’t even bother changing the write-up? Wow~ Probably also “borrowed” the L’Amore Luna (his third listing) info from yet another seller???
July 13th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
He has quite a bit of ebay experience, he should know better and not steal someone else’s write-up/photo. Well, the minimum I could do is email the auction winner and tell them what I know, they can decide what to do. It makes me mad that still no action from eBay.

annie - Yes, that bag is real. Bidding will also certainly drive the price up more before the auction ends. A low starting bid doesn’t mean a bag is fake - but a low set BIN price might. (I always start my auctions at 99 cents.) As for the blue, I think the seller’s camera levels are just a little off.

I reported a seller just a couple days ago (see my 7/13 posting) above. This lilphil212 (on Ebay) is reusing my photos again (Tutti Campeggio front and back) but this time he combined it with another seller’s write up (he used mine last time) and he stole an extra side photo of the Tutti Campeggio along with the write-up! Now he is playing mix and match with various listing! His 3 pictures are not even coming from the same bag!!
My original listing was 290243552134 for your reference. I am warning everyone you won’t get the bag in the pictures for Item number: 280246711148.
Two of his toki-listings have been removed by eBay, unfortunately he has a Luna on auction and it will be sold shortly… what are the odds of this Luna being legit? Good luck and be careful!!
July 16th, 2008 at 1:45 am
The Luna I just mentioned above, one of the two pictures in his listing (Item number: 280245155733) has the “www.tokidoki-blog.com” watermark!!!!!!!

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you very much for this very useful blogs and the numerous and helfpul contributions made regarding tokidoki fakes. I was wondering whether someone could have a look at this bag and let me know it it seems to be a fake or not ?
The seller is evala:

There are 2 things that lead me to think it’s a fake. First the chain appears to be one of those low-quality slim chain. Second, no pictures actually provide a detailed illustration of the quee.
Thank you very much for you help
August 31st, 2008 at 11:33 am
Mike - Nope, that’s what real chains look like, and that bag is 100% real. The “riri” alone is always a dead giveaway.

This seller somehow has 3 tokidoki bags, each with no qee and no ‘ball chain’. How convenient is that? Plus the pictures are not clear or close up. Just so you know.
September 22nd, 2008 at 1:58 am
sillysquirt - Unless I’m missing something it looks real to me. I’m thinking it’s missing the qee, ball chain and carabiner cord is because it’s used. (EUC - Excellent Used Condition).
September 22nd, 2008 at 10:11 am
I agree with IhateTDfakes, the bag looks real to me too (so do the other two bags she is selling), despite the missing accessories.
September 22nd, 2008 at 3:40 pm
Here’s another ebay seller who used some really good positioning of the bag to cover up its fakeness: mikemartin374
September 23rd, 2008 at 5:44 pm
I just don’t understand why all 3 conveniently are ‘missing’ the same accesories, that’s all. And especially after reading the new blog about the 2nd generation fakes, I am really paranoid.
September 24th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
Sillysquirt-it’s good to be paranoid especially with all of the fakes out there but I think the fact that all 3 of the same things are missing is just a matter of the previous owner’s preference.

Looks real to me! The plastic bag the qee is in looks authentic. People who make fake bags dont usually put that much detail into the plastic bag its in. Also, the inside of the bag with the sewn in Tokidoki tag looks real as well.
October 1st, 2008 at 6:32 pm
I agree with Wontons…it looks pretty real to me! The seller is just like me! With the tokidoki for lesportsac bags that I use, I like to take the qee off and use one I already have so not to waste all the qee’s ^^;; They are getting pretty good at making fakes though…I was in Shanghai and got to see some of the better quality tokidoki fakes…a lot of them are starting to not add ‘flower spring’ and actually have ‘tokidoki for lesportsac’ on the bags! Always check the qee tho because sometimes mistakes can be caught there!
I am guilty of purchasing a ‘lamore trenino’ fake because I was pretty impressed with how real they almost made it… T_Tll just make sure you really look at the details and you can always ask the seller to send additional pics for you to see!
October 1st, 2008 at 8:28 pm

smoke_monster - It’s really difficult to tell based on the poor photos in the auction, but the bag looks real to me.

OMG did you check out rsan_tos question posted on the bottom of the page.
Q: Hi:) How much is the reserve. How much you want if I wanted to buy it now?:) Oct-31-08
A: Reserve is $75. If you’d like to buy it now I’m asking for $150 + shipping. That’s 40% off the price of this style of bag (messenger bag).
CRAZY!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3100 98410172&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=021
i got a good laugh out of it! and what on earth is with that starting bid?! they are insane. and i like how the ‘tag says “qee”‘. hahaha
i reported it, but it’s still there. so hopefully more ppl will report it and they’ll get rid of that eyesore….. blech!
November 12th, 2008 at 1:48 pm
I’m pretty sure this one is fake:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110309376 690
Notice in the second picture that it has some other brand in the label in the middle (sportandem or something). The tag is connected with a piece of plastic instead of a chain.
In this one the lister claims that this bag was made before Tokidoki was with LeSportsac:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270298829 027
Is there any validity in that?
Thanks
November 12th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Kihou - Both of those items are real. They are from the European collection (not tokidoki for LeSportsac).

Yeah, it’s got the Flower Spring on the print. That’s the most obvious thing…
January 17th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Fabulousity4you is listed as a real tokidoki seller, but this current ebay item has a fake quee.
ebay # 290289627781 The quee has “tokidoki for lesport” on it and not “tokidoki
for lesportsac” as your real one has. Is the bag real? They don’t mention the riri zippers in their description. Leaves me suspicious…..
January 17th, 2009 at 8:15 pm
nancy - its a real bag and real qee. the arm is cutting of the rest of the word ‘lesportsac’
