LeSportsac May Re-Release Some tokidoki Prints in 2008
According to LeSportsac customer service: although the tokidoki/LeSportsac collaboration is ending after the Vacanze print is released, Lesportsac has the rights to the prints for one more year and is allowed to re-release up to 5 of them!
I am trying to get more info about which prints might be re-released when - I will post more info as I get it.
How do you all feel about this? On one hand I’m excited if they re-release some of my favorite prints, but on the other hand I was looking forward to giving my wallet a REST in 2008!

I hope that they will release other styles of my favorite prints. If so, such much for saving money next year.

Before I read this I thought my wallet was safe but I guess it won’t be since lesportsac may release up to 5 prints. Kind good in a way cause when tokidoki came out. I was in living in Texas at the time an no tokidoki was avaliable at the time. So when I moved to California with my dad I saw tokidoki I fell in love with it and got addicted. All I hope for is that they release my top 5 favourties.
1. Paradiso (I am willing to give my kidney for them to release that print!)
2. Foresta
3. Cittia
4. Original Print
5. Inferno or L’amore

Hi from México! Hope they re-release the PARADISO and the FORESTA prints. I fell in love with TOKIDOKI just a few months ago (since the pirata print was in the lesportsac website) and I still don’t have in my collection these 2 prints, PARADISO is sooooo cute!!

It’s cool that they’re doing this; I probably won’t buy one though- I’m planning to get a Vacanze and it would be too much for my wallet.

That’s good news indeed. Paradiso print is also my absolute fav. I like the innocence….
Though the original tokidoki print is nice but i really dislike the green lining, every time I see this print in stellina on ebay, I can’t make myself buy it! That’s prob why I like the Paradiso print too. It has a nice cheery yellow lining like Spaggia. So every time I open my spiaggia zucca, I’m greeted by a “burst of sunshine”, just makes my day sometimes!

If they re-release Foresta, I’m going to have the hardest time deciding between getting a Vacanze or a Foresta. What do you guys like better: Foresta of Vacanze?

Vacanze is nice but it is more like a Xmas theme to it and you won’t be able to use it as an everyday bag. And foresta is perfect for like the spring/summer time with its cheerful theme. And the orange lining on the foresta’s make it say POW! To your eyes.
I would stick to foresta.

Both Foresta and Vacanze have pros and cons. Vacanze is very busy, but has a lot of different characters and colors. Foresta is easier on the eyes, but consists of mostly apples and monkeys.

But it kinda sucks, it’s not like prices will go down or anything…
Hmm, if I had to choose, I’d pick:
-Original
-Camo Playground Black
-Paradiso
-Inferno (first print I lay my eyes on!)

i’m rather indifferent. if/when the prints are re-released i’ll probably buy caramellas and denaros, since i currently only have one denaro. i have some bags that i don’t use now that i’d consider selling if i could find other bags at retail - not the jacked up ebay prices - that i’d like better. so, for that reason alone, i’d like to see foresta and paradiso re-released.
however, for those people that like to have every bag in one or two particular [and i’d guess popular] prints, i guess this would be rather good news. i wonder if they’re going to be using new qees for the re-released prints? will they be making new styles?
i was hoping to give my wallet a break as well. :/
oh, and Holly, i’d go with foresta unless you really love winter/christmas. i’d have no problem carrying around a vacanze bag in the middle of the summer, but that’s just me. plus, we don’t really get winter down here in south texas, but at least i’d have a cute bag to tote around and make me smile when it’s 50-degrees in the middle of december.

Hmmmmm…I like the good news! I long for a Foresta with a kitty where I can see it really good. I also love the paradise.
I am still wondering what the Tokidoki folks are thinking about doing with the cute designs for handbags, etc., after LeSportSac.

I would love to see tan playground, foresta and inferno re-released, I would much rather pay for a re-release than for a high priced market-rate eBay item. I would be most interested in bags where you can see the majority of the pattern, like BV, Gioco or Ciao Ciao. A tan playground Gioco would be amazing!

Well, if they do decide to re-print some of them I would love to see Foresta included in there. Or the Playground print.
I have to agree with you though; I’ve been hoping that after Vacanze the wallet will finally be able to relax, because it’s been through a lot this year, lol.

I hope they re release the citta rosa and forester prints again. Two of my favorite styles. I will spend plenty of bread on some more of these bags.

My wallet is going to be very sad but I will be uber happy if LeSportsac would reprint Paradiso and Foresta. I love the blue hair baby rocker of the Paradiso and those gold fish of the Foresta. Yeah! I am so excited…

I hope if there are re-releases that, like the 2nd generation original print, there’s something to distinguish them from the original run of bags. Just adds to collectibility. I don’t have any interest in reprints myself though.

For those of you who still want to get inferno or paradiso, have you checked out the lesportsac outlet stores (they do phone orders for US addresses)? I believe they still have those prints in stock (for 25% off retail too!)
As for myself, I’d love to see Foresta and Citta Rosa re-released. I only started collecting toki’s since I saw pirata on the site as well, and only have the prints starting from paradiso. I also got the second generation original print, and don’t mind if minor details are changed for the re-release… I think this is only fair to those who have the first edition.
I was looking forward to a rest for my wallet, but I don’t mind if they re-release some hard to find older prints!!!

I have been collecting tokidoki bags for over a year (since June 2006, when the Original Print was still in some stores) so I feel like I’ve had enough time to get all of the bags I want from each print already - but at the same time, if my favorites get re-released, I know I’ll wind up buying more.

yes indeed, my wallet needs a break. i just got into tokidoki a few months back and had to buy some past prints above retail. I was lucky to get mostly all the prints except…Tan Playground & Citta Rosa. I look foward to the re-release and i hope they space it out so I don’t have to be broke…lol!

i saw the post after this, where youre not sure if they are going to do this re-release, but just in case, my boyfriend had an idea. he said that you should do a poll type thing on what everyones top 5 prints are, and whatever comes out being the top 5, you should tell lesportsac. i dont know how much pull it would have in their decision, but it seems a lot of people read this blog, and if they release what the majority of people want, that only means more money for them! haha, just an idea. (or if not to send to lesportsac, it would still be interesting.) seems that foresta and paradiso are way up there! heres mine:
1. original!! (my only original BROKE!)
2. citta/citta rosa
3. tan playground
4. spiaggia (yeah i know it was just out, and still IS out there, but its one of my top faves, and if they released it last, it would be enough time in between. i was TOO broke during when it came out!)
5. cammo playground black/olive
my guess is, they would do best by releasing the first prints, since it seems many ppl didnt get into it till after..
all i REALLY care abt is the original print!

In a poll, I would have to vote for:
1) Citta Rosa

I really really am looking to get a Nuvola Foresta. I also liked the original print. I just got my first bag a Nuvola Inferno and I get a ton of compliments on it and “where did you get that” questions. The Le Sportsac outlets are the way to go….I was happy to save the money to put toward another
!

When Simone was in San Francisco a couple of months ago, I met the Lesportsac VP and say did say they were going to re release a couple of the older prints as an anniversary edition. The news really bummed me out as they don’t seem as special anymore since now everyone can have it. It might sound selfish but it’s not as fun anymore.

I think the idea of reprints is fabulous. Not everyone discovered the Tokidoki line as early as others. Many of us who most appreciate it now missed out on prints we would have loved to have, and that does not make us any less deserving. I can understand the desire to have something special, but making such an item exclusive to a relative lucky few is unfair, I feel. Besides, the bags WILL always be special because of their unique design (regardless of counterfeiters’ activities) and because, like coins or anything else collectible, only a set number of them will be made. After that…no more. So take heart from that, collectors!
As far as reprints go, my heart is set on FORESTA beyond anything else. Even if that was the only reprint released, my Tokidoki day would be made! If I DID make a list of five prints I would hope to see re-released, however they would be:
1) Foresta
2) Citta
3) Citta Rosa
4) Camo (the tan one)
5) Inferno
Oh, and by the way, I receive a lot of compliments on my tokidoki bags from guys - and I’m talking straight ones. Something about the designs seems to appeal to them. I find that pretty cool!

For some reason I can find all but the original and playground prints in Toronto shops. So, my fondest wish would be a re-release of Playground Camo and the original print. A playground camo stellina would make my year!

Hi I’m a new TD fan. Just got my first purse, a black bucca with a citta print. I love it! I would love to have some pieces in spiaggia but no luck so far in stores or on ebay of the ones i want. Anyway, I emailed customer service at lesportsac to ask about releases in 2008 and they said there would be no more after Vacanze. So did they change their minds? Any ideas on another purse mfg taking over the TD designs? So sad I came into this at the very end. Love the blog and all the info!

Hi Kelli - If you keep reading forward through the info in this blog, it should cover all of your questions.
But to summarize - Vacanze *is* the last tokidoki for LeSportsac print. There are some re-releases of old, past prints taking place in Hawaii and Guam ONLY that are not available to customers who don’t live there. Rumor has it that LeSportsac will also be releasing a new line of bags branded only as “tokidoki” around August 2008.

I was told at the LLS stores in hawaii that it would be this month. But, I read somewhere that they sometimes don’t know when it’s coming. Best to put your name on the call list. They will (supposedly) call anytime anything tokidoki comes in, and it is up to you to get down there asap! Hope this helps!
