The Plot Thickens
As usual, multiple customer service reps at LeSportsac are giving conflicting information. In repsonse to my second inquiry about whether or not any past tokidoki prints will definitely get re-released in 2008, I got this response:
“The only information we have available at this time is there is a Fall & Winter 2007 Collection. The Fall collection is scheduled to be released this week on the website.

Well, I also have a THIRD request in to them with the same question yet again so we’ll see if I get yet another answer or not.

I hope we get another answer from them. Plus its about time that they update the tokidoki site already they are really slow on updating.

Are you folks going to LeSportSac.com? I visited there last night and they show Spaggia and the gray and the black and that is it. They are always way slow.
Still wondering what will become of Tokidoki handbags? All gone or another outlet? I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

I emailed 2 days ago since they told me Tutti would be up in “Mid-August”. Here’s what I got back:
“The Tutti print will be released to the website the last week of August.

What kind of Customer Service Department Lesportsux has! They don’t give out any clear answers and don’t updated the tokidoki items until 9302174 years later. Yet the summer is almost over and they still have spiagga.
P.S. I have the urge to go to the main office and start pulling the CEO of Lesportsac tie and let him/her choke till I get a clear answer cause I really want foresta and paradiso out!

At least at the web site they’re willing to, you know, sell you something. I got a rude retort when I called the Soho Lesportsac boutique and asked about upcoming Tokidoki prints–
Salesclerk: “We aren’t carrying Tokidoki anymore, the line has been discontinued.”
Me: “But Lesportsac is supposed to be releasing two more prints…”
Salesclerk (annoyed): THE LINE IS BEING DISCONTINUED!

I feel sorry for you Coug I sure wouldn’t let anyone talk to me like that. I end up getting into my anger management problems when someone talk to me like that. Now if that happened to me dad that’s a really different story.

in response to coug, not ALL stores are bad. i go to the beverly center lesportsac and they are always extremely nice when i go in or call. theyve even called me to let me know when the tokidokis were in!

Well, just to clarify: I don’t think they’re all bad. In particular, I think the Hamptons outlet store’s customer service rocks– they actually convinced me *not* to buy something when they volunteered that the print placement on the Adios Star Denaros they had in stock wasn’t so hot. And whenever I’ve called the web site, Lesportsac has been great. I’m just a bit shocked that they’re making the two final prints so hard to come by, and that even within the organization there’s conflicting information.

Alexis at Tobi does not think LeSportSac will be rereleasing the old Tokis. She said LeSportSac links up with new designers for short periods and then move on. I noticed LeSportSac already have a new designer on line.

In studying the LeSportSac site I think I was wrong about the new designer!! They do have a new higher priced line but I don’t see an advertised designer for this line. Soooooooo Sorry!!!! There is a designer that is doing one pattern but that line has been available all summer. AND I am not really fond of the new line either. Tokidoki is way better!!!

oh yeah, no clarification needed.. and they ARE conflicting within. i had been told previously by the sales people at bev. center, i think before amore, when i asked when the new ones were coming out, that they werent going to carry anymore tokidoki in the store! when i asked why, the sales girl said she didnt know or understand why they would do that when it is one of their best selling lines.. but then they DID carry more of the line.. so not even the sales people understand or know lesportsacs moves! stupid lesportsac…
