Update on Past tokidoki Prints Re-Release Rumor
Reader Kathy wrote in with this exciting update about the rumored re-release of old tokidoki bag prints in 2008:
“I was told today that the first print to be re-released is Foresta. It should come out in 2008. One of my friends works for LeSportsac and she told me that the buyer already put the order in for them. She also told me that they are asking all the customers which print they would like to see re-released.”

I love Foresta too! I feel like I already have enough bags in that print though, but I’m sure I’ll wind up getting more when it is re-released. :p

I would LOVE if the angioletto got reproduce. But for prints Foresta is cute! I would like Inferno and citta rosa reprinted.

Tan Playground is an absolute must!!! Especially considering how high they are going for on eBay, this would be a best seller for them if they chose to re-release it along with Foresta. I also read previously that LSS has an option on 5 prints to re-release through 2008. I’m pretty sure OP 2nd gen was the first, and Foresta is second… I wonder what the last three will be?
I’m curious… How are they asking customers about prints thy want? Are they polling the regular LeSportsac customer? (usually not a TD collector) Focus groups? Canvassing places where TD LSS customers shop? If they are smart they should be trolling this and other TD LSS collector blogs/LJ pages/message boards.

Actually I would love to see L’Amore reprinted. I know it’s still being sold at some places, but I totally missed out on the L’Amore Zucca.

Kiesha - I don’t know - I guess we could e-mail them? Although, when I e-mail LeSportsac, they don’t know anything about this supposed re-release.
J. Fisk - I still can’t get a straight answer on that, so I’m not sure. Maybe Kathy will pop back up and tell us if she lives in Hawaii or not.

I was just at the Lesportsac store in Hilton Hawaiian Village (buying a Trasporto BV) and the salesperson told me that the Vacanze print s/b in in October, and the Foresta print is expected in November… I hope that’s true. Then I dont have to wait so long!

Well I’ll be sure to check it out and let you know in November. I think I’ll go back to the Hilton. The guy there is pretty chatty, and the store isn’t as busy as the one in the mall.
