Foresta Re-Release Update

Reader Kathy, who sent in the Foresta print re-release information in this post, just let me know that she does live in Hawaii. So I think it’s safe to bet at this point that the Foresta re-release is going to be happening in Hawaii (and possibly Guam) only. Bummer!!

More info thanks to Enigma in the comments - according to a LeSportsac SA in Hawaii, they are expecting to receive their Foresta re-release shipment in November 2007!

oh dear. that’s really lame. :(

  2. Laura Says:

Wow that idea makes no sense whatsoever! Wouldn’t LeSportsac make more money selling it on mainland as well?

I am glad I got a cute foresta recently while I could, there are not going to be many around even if it is re-released. I guess they will be as rare as the trasporto corrieres, which I also want >:-[

  3. kiesha Says:

yes, that would make more sense Laura. just like it would make more sense to sell t-shirts in larger sizes to increase profit for the tokidoki company. :/ i guess i’ll need to befriend someone in hawaii to do custom purchases if this turns out to be true. hawaii retail is so expensive too. :( oh well, i guess it’s better than being gouged by ebay prices. i’d better start saving up now.

  4. Diana Says:

Now I don’t feel so bad for purchasing three Foresta pieces off eBay recently. Two were a few dollars over retail and the other was under $200. About what I would have paid had I tried to order from Hawaii or Guam, but without the hassle. I don’t understand the exclusivity… bad marketing move since it is proven that it is demand.

  5. Enigma Says:

About the re-release of Foresta… I spoke with one of the sales rep at the Lesportsac in Hawaii (I am from there) and they said that it would be coming out in November of this year with the winter/xmas print. So I can’t wait for that x]

  6. Brie Says:

This sucks back to ebay for us mainland usa residents! Unless one of use is lucky to have a friend from hawaii!

  7. Kelly Says:

    Ok, I’m really sad now.

  8. MarissaBee Says:

Bad marketing/bad business decision indeed! C’mon LeSportsac… -_- …And Kiesha, I totally agree about the t-shirt sizes; I’d love to get one but they’re just too small for me. :(

  9. admin Says:

Kiesha and MarissaBee, have you tried ordering a mens’ tokidoki t-shirt instead? They run true to mens’ sizing so they give you a lot more room. I own one!

  10. Kelly Says:

Is there any other brand of cute bags that sell for a little less?

  11. kiesha Says:

yes, but a lot of the prints that i like don’t come in men’s sizes, like the all-over momobella print [that’s like the new watch]. :(

  12. ChristineDior Says:

Well well well…. Hawaii it is! :) I agree, it is a bad decision to have them exclusively sold in Hawaii/Guam. They would make lot$$ more if they sold them in the mainland too. Butttt I do live in Hawaii, so YAY ME! ^_______^

  13. Serita Says:

Hmmmm… yes, I am VERY envious, and I think that’s kind of a dumb idea to only release it in certain areas. What is the point behind that? Is there even a valid one?

  14. vpop Says:

Does anyone know if the Hawaii Lesportsac stores ship to the mainland? Could we just call our orders in?

Aww, poo. I was hoping they’d do the re-release everywhere.

  15. Sharon Says:

Kelly…I love Harajuku Lovers handbags too. They are way less money. I just got a really cute bag and matching wallet at Ross. Way less there too. When Ross has them they go really fast.

  16. Kelly Says:

    thanks Sharon!!

  17. Brie Says:

    Kelly,

Like Sharon said you can get some Harajuku Lovers handbags and they are cute. Less expensive but always go to your near Marshalls or Ross to look for one. But if you go to the mall especally Macy’s always check the”25% off handbags” section they also have great deals on Harajuku Lovers items when some of them dont get sold.

I plan on selling some of mine on ebay but I am not old enough to sign up.

  18. tokimagic Says:

… but, but, but I have no friends in Hawaii =(

  19. Christine Dior Says:

VPOP… I’ve been told >> No, the LeSportsac in Hawaii does not ship to the mainland.

  20. stephanie Says:

even if they did ship to the mainland, someone down there would buy up all the good bags to sell on ebay for an inflated price.

maybe we can demand that it be released up here again. or maybe hawaii is just a testing ground?

SAs do not always know what they’re talking about.

  21. Houkichan Says:

Neat! I can’t wait until then! What are you mainland gals complaining about? Here in Hawai`i they jack up the price by $30+ and the only place I have seen Tokidoki bags is either at DFS or at a LeSportsac store (maybe I’m not looking hard enough).

  22. Shell Says:

This is interesting news. . . . and much speculation. I will be in Hawaii towards the end of November. Can anyone else chime in as to where to look for Toki bags besides the above mentioned LeSportsac stores in Waikiki and the DFS?

  23. adx Says:

Maybe we could start some sort of letter-writing campaign to Lesportsac to get them to understand the interest in having Foresta (and other prints) re-released on the mainland?

  24. stephanie Says:

i sent an email to LSS customer service and they said they couldn’t even confirm that the bags are being re-released in hawaii.

i’m thinking of calling one of the mainland stores and seeing if the SAs there know anything.

  25. joanna Says:

oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! This is that elusive print that got me into tokidoki and now it’s out of my grasp…….. noooooooooooooooooooooo

  26. Zoie Says:

I’m moving to Hawaii in December, and I’d buy bags for all you ladies who needed them and ship them to you. :]

I guess some good does come out of having a military man stationed in Hawaii. ;] I’m dying for a Foresta Zucca.

  27. admin Says:

    Zoie you are awesome. :D

  28. MuffinGal Says:

This was exciting. I love Foresta but I never got one during the original release. I do know someone that is going to Hawaii soon. I might be lucky! ::fingers crossed::

  29. gwen Says:

Awww! I was so excited for them! It’s too bad that it’s only happening in Hawaii. Guess ebay is my only source for Foresta bags now.

  30. Heather Says:

    Hey gals!
i live in Hawaii and the tokidoki for LeSportsac bags are only sold at LeSportsac stores and DFS. We have LeSportsac stores in Ala Moana Center, and I believe two stores in Waikiki right now… (there’s been a lot of renovation in that area), and an outlet store in waikele premium outlet. and i would be happy to lend a helping hand to you Continental U.S.er’s. As long as some other Hawaii gals help me out… it might be overwhelming to help ALL of you!

  31. shari Says:

Here in hawaii the tokidoki bags are super high priced…I was looking on the mainland sites for a tokidoki bag, but they told me they don’t ship any bags to hawaii…lucky thing my brother was in Vegas…other then the cheaper place to buy seems like in hawaii is the outlet…if anyone knows any other places besides the outlet please let me know…bummers can’t order from the mainland…prices are so much better…

  32. Kells! Says:

I will be taking a trip to Hawaii in April 2008. Any chance that the re-release will continue into the Spring of 08?

  33. aquaba11 Says:

Do you ladies know if all of the bag styles will be released ie Mamma mia, for the new Foresta bash? I really want a foresta mamma mia!! How much does a mamma mia go for in Hawaii? Thanks!

  34. Christine Dior Says:

AQUABA11 - Just add another $30 [at least ;p] to the online price…..

  35. Menehune Says:

I believe the Mamma Mia is $157

  36. Jenn Says:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh well. I guess I’ll be saving some money then. lol

  37. Toki_Canadian83 Says:

Is there any word that the “Tan Playground” may be one of the prints that will be re-released? *Hope hope*

  38. kathy Says:

What’s DFS? I live in HI but I can’t figure that out.

  39. Menehune Says:

    DFS is Duty Free Stores

  40. Brie Says:

Ooo I saw a DFS store right on the Canadian(Vancouver, British Columbia) and USA (Washingtion) border when I was leaving Canada. They had a lot of designer bags but no tokidoki. So surprised hawaii has many.

  41. Suz Says:

Well the first time Foresta came out here it sold out really fast so I imagine the second time around it will probably go equally as fast now that the brand has even more recognition. All those tourists just scoup them up!!!!

  42. shari Says:

I heard that Nov. 17th Simone’s signing appearance, and then the next day after that the foresta will be releast…but the price is pretty high at the lesportsac ala moana…I wanted a Tutti Gioco at called ala moana store it was going for close to 200.00…lucky thing my brother was in LV he got it for me at 160.00…yeah here in hawaii the tokidoki bags are pretty expensive…I have a feeling the Foresta will be pretty high up there…looking for a 160.00 bag, you will prob. get it for 180 or little higher…

I also tried calling around in the mainland to see if I could order a bag, but they don’t send any tokidoki bags to Hawaii…they said even though it’s a lesportsac we are different from the US mainland…we are more together with guam, places like japan…but it’s lucky that the mainland you guys get it much cheaper…we pay an arm and leg for these tokidoki bags…

  43. shari Says:

I don’t own a foresta bag, but I would love one as well…I have a feeling no matter how it cost people will still buy…I like tokidoki, but I don’t think I would pray that crazy price here for one…if i’m lucky I’ll find one at a cheaper price, if not it’s not ment for me to buy one…haha…
