Full Line of tokidoki x Hello Kitty Collaboration Items Posted on Sanrio Japan
Oooh, ooh, look what I just found! The Sanrio Japan website just posted the full line of tokidoki for Hello Kitty collaboration items - and there are more bag styles and other items than we have seen already! Here are some highlights:

I love Tokidoki, but I’m not feeling these designs at all (thank goodness for my wallet!). They look kind of juvenile to me; like they’re targeted at a younger audience than the LeSportsac bags were.
From what we’ve seen so far, none of the designs in the collaboration appeal to me at all– not the jewelry, not the Hello Kitty Cactus plushie, and especially not the bags. The only thing I want from what we’ve seen, is just the Bastardino plushie.

The bags kind of remind me of the multi-color Louis Vuitton bags by Takashi Murakami.

You know, it kinda bugs me to see the background monogram print is immitating the Louis Vuitton bags.

Cheri_Berry I totally agree with you lol. Not to mention I don’t really like gold :/ gold is kinda tacky to me. But yea… hello kitty is certainly not for me >_> doesn’t go with my image lol. Gold + hello kitty + me = lossage me marbles

Definitely not for me. I find the excessive gold detracting from the design (you can hardly tell what it is), the gold totally does not match the aesthetic of the TD design. And as someone else mentioned, the designs is gaudy and too much of a rip off of LV. The plushies are kind of cute, but I would prefer to pick up the regular ones first whenever they come out.

Yeah I too thought of Louis Vuitton when I saw these bags. I love Hello Kitty and all, but I don’t like all that gold either. Now, if they were in silver, I might change my mind . . .

I can handle the stuffed animals, but all the blingy gold on the rest of the stuff makes me want to hurl!! Oh well, more money for other stuff.

I went to one of the sanrio shops in Japan yesterday and saw all the tokidoki X hello kitty items.
But i didn’t buy anything coz i don’t really like hello kitty…

I kinda like the watch tho … it’s cute to me. But yah I agree the gold is all a bit too much. If they have a small cosmetics pouch I’d be willing to buy it just because it’d be small and would go inside one of my LeSportsac Tokidoki bags.

yeah I agree with everyone, the gold…there’s just too much of it xD I didn’t mind the gold accents on the l’amore bags, but this is just too much!
However….those plushies….I think I won’t be able to resist when they hit eBay xD

I kinda like it…i might just get the keychain and attach it to my TD bag. I saw a Angioletto/Porta type pouch, which I would get. I wonder how much these items will cost???

I did a few currency conversions and the watch price listed equals $148, the first plush is $30, the bags/wallets are $40-$99.
Personally I am really curious if the bags are made of leather or pleather. If they are leather, I am going to skip them. I might need a plush doll or two though.

i am not huge on gold, but i nearly had a stroke when i saw this newer stuff. i have to have it, and i have to have it RIGHT NOW. asari you are crazy for not buying like 10 of everything and putting it on ebay, you would make a crap ton of money off of me, that’s for sure!
i have to have the watch, the wallets, the big bag. i know they are gaudy and bling blow, but damn. i am a psychotic hello kitty fan.

Momoberry by Sanrio at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles is a more adult Sanrio store…they have a lot of bags similar to these in the hundreds price range… Hello Kitty versions of LV bags .. i think this one is more Chanel though…the flap style and the gold chain …
Hello Kitty collaborated with Kimora Lee Simmons and have these ridiculously expensive watches and jewelry…this tokidoki/HK watch is kinda like that… too blingy. I might buy the watch for the sake of collecting ..: ) …the keychain is definitely Louis Vuitton…or Coach???. After asking Simone when it was coming out, a sales associate from Momoberry told me they are getting their shipment mid Feb….now who to believe???

I tried liking the bags because I am a hardcore Hello Kitty fan. But the gold doesn’t sit with me that well. I do like the telephone case and the one plush with the chili. Beyond that, I can really pass on everything else. I knew it would be expensive, but man, it is EXPENSIVE for what it is. But it’s Japan. It’s a hit or miss thing. Some things are cheap and others (such as this) are expensive. Oh, oh! And of course I want that first necklace that we saw that was very simple and awesome. I will spend the money for that.

I almost fell over in disbelieve/disgust when I first saw the HK/LV Murakami ripoff suitcase in a Sanrio store.
But man, I think Toki totally missed this one with the fans with that blinginess.
Now say if, HK was done like the Moofia all over print t-shirt, that would’ve been nice.

you would have a buyer for sure! i look every day on ebay for “tokidoki hello kitty” with zero results. i guess i was super worried that these things would be hard to get hold of, but looks like nobody is insanely psychoticly interested like i am. it sucks that i’m no where near a momoberry store, not even one in the burbs of detroit. blargh.

Asari, you should get some and sell them on ebay. Even though you don’t like it someone else will. I prefer silver these days but at one time I did like gold. This is a little too gold for me. I like the keychain and the plushies. I have relatives in Japan so I could probably have them buy something if I really really want it but I may pass on these. My daughter likes one of the bags though. So that is a vote from at least two on this blog.

The auction shows a photo of the inside as well and it doesn’t look like it’ll fit much (2 cards and a piece of ID… not very suitable for women, I don’t think). It looks very bling but it’s very cheap bling and for ¥4200, I think I’m gonna have to pass. >_

The only bad thing about that Japan Auction is that it only uses bank transfer as payment method and is using local delivery company. A lot of Japanese shopping sites don’t accommodate for international buyers. I was trying to purchase an Inferno Bambinone from one of the shops on Rakuten.com there was a glitch in the system and even their debit unit at the shop to process my credit card through. That store wanted to sell me the bag, but there was no way to pay for it. And really, I wasn’t about to pay large amounts of service fees for an overseas bank transfer, and I don’t think my information is very safe that way.

Love the hello kitty items!
Luckily, the items are not too expensive!!! I did the conversion rate and the ¥10,500 bag is about US$98. I was afraid that it’ll be $200! I definitely plan to get a bag and a doll, and maybe more items if they look nice. Sometimes the items look good in picture but the quality might not be that great.

I understand why some people aren’t fans of the designs. I’m not into the whole gold thing either. (I do love HK in the cactus suit.) Though I disagree with those who think Tokidoki missed the mark with these. Remember these items are intended for Japan and LV is HUGE in Japan. I think they fit right into the Japanese market. While some of it may show up in the largest Sanrio stores in the USA, they weren’t produced with us in mind. Just my opinion.

hi, I put up few items on ebay. It was first for me to use it, so i hope everyting goes ok.
I talked to the lady at the sanrio shop the other day, and she told me only few sanrio shops sell tokidoki x Hello Kitty and each item is limited. that made me buying them for myself although i didn’t really like Hello Kitty.
