Bad eBay Seller Alert

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

I just wanted to warn everyone that eBay seller jpm9674 has a number of tokidoki bag auctions up right now that feature photos that were stolen from other collectors. I advise everyone not to bid on any of this seller’s auctions. Also, remember to watermark your photos before posting them publicly on the internet to avoid having them stolen by unscrupulous individuals. If you are new to tokidoki, check out my List of eBay Users Who Sell Real tokidoki Bags & Clothes for sellers who are definitely safe to buy from (I have also made some recent updates to the list - if you know of any additional sellers who belong on the list, please comment on that post with your updates).

UPDATE: jpm9674 has been suspended from eBay, and appears to have re-registered with the username alewis677 (who is also stealing other people’s photos).

Rumor: The Next 3 tokidoki Print Re-Releases Will Be…

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Reader Dana spoke with a sales associate who works at the Ala Moana, Hawaii LeSportsac store yesterday and was told that they are re-releasing 3 more prints.  Like the Foresta re-release, this will happen in Hawaii and Guam only.

February 2008 - Paradiso
March 2008 - Inferno
April 2008 - L’Amore

This info may or may not be accurate, as it is also rumored that the next print to be re-released will be Citta/Citta Rosa.  I guess we’ll all just have to wait and see - but it at least sounds like the wait won’t be too long!

Photo of a Reader’s European tokidoki Tote (Plus a Rare Signed T-Shirt)

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Reader Tara from Hawaii just sent me a photo of her European tokidoki tote bag - which she had signed by Simone at the Ala Moana Center Singing Party in Hawaii in November. The bag is definitely real, and Simone even commented to her on it being a rare item.

Tara also sent in a photo of a rare Spring 2005 tokidoki t-shirt that she had signed by Simone. I love the extra sushi character that he added!

Still More European tokidoki Gear Uncovered

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Readers Lashonne and Jess discovered another Italian store that sells tokidoki items that are not available in the USA - and this shop does allow you to order online. Sadly though, the prices are pretty killer when you factor in the exchange rate. They sell another style of tokidoki underwear, the tokidoki flip-flops that I blogged about last spring, and more clothing items (including the all-over print hoodie from the post below!). Here are a few highlights:

tokidoki ski jacket from Italy

Lashonne also found this bag on an Italian site called Yoox:

I am wondering if it is the same style of tote bag that readers spotted Simone’s girlfriend carrying at the Simone signing party at Mobius last month.

More Italian tokidoki Goodies Discovered

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Reader Jess somehow unearthed this slideshow by andrea.simpson, which features a bunch more tokidoki items that I am guessing are also exclusive to Italy (or Europe?) since the title is written in Italian. Check some of this stuff out - there are tokidoki JEANS! Plus a jacket and hoodie that I absolutely adore and wish I could get my hands on:

I hope that some of these items eventually find their way to the USA!

It Was Only a Matter of Time…

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

…before a tokidoki limited edition raincoat showed up on eBay! I want one, but judging by the description, this one would be too small for me. I’m not going to let myself pay a huge over-retail markup for one though - I’m holding out hope that one of my favorite online boutiques might get some in stock.

Found on Italian Web Site: tokidoki Gear Exclusive to Italy?

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Reader Ashley just found an Italian Web site that sells tokidoki gear - none of which is available in the USA! They have this sweatshirt and hoodie, which feature prints we have seen before on different styles of clothing:

tokidoki longsleeve t-shirt

tokidoki hoodie

And they have this tokidoki underwear:
