Momoberry is Closing - tokidoki for Hello Kitty Pre-Orders Transferred
Reader Marsea just wrote to me with this news:
“A few weeks ago I called Momoberry in the Beverley Center and they were taking pre-orders for the tokidoki for Hello Kitty bags. I placed my pre-order and they called me yesterday (2/19) to let me know that they are closing their store March 14th or 24th (I was in shock & can’t remember the date
) and they are NOT receiving any of the tokidoki for Hello Kitty line because of this, and that all pre-orders placed at that location have been transfered to the home office* (San Francisco) and that someone will call from the home office when their shipment arrives. They did say though, that they are closing because they are getting a bigger store and changing their name, don’t know when that is happening, but all I know is that they won’t be carrying any of the tokidoki for Hello Kitty line… MAJOR bummer!”
Reader Marhem also just added this info in a comment to a previous post: “Momoberry is closing this March 24 (everything in the store is 50% off) so they will NOT be getting the tokidoki for Hello Kitty stuff — ALTHOUGH they pre-sold their items and are now ALL SOLD OUT!!! They told me to call Sanrio NY.”
*The home office is not a store. Our poor Sanrio Worker (see comments) has been getting a lot of calls at his store, so please take note of this.

just thought to add that if you pre-ordered already, your order is not cancelled but rather will be mailed to you. which is nice that we dont have to go there to pick it up.

Sanrio NY no longer has the Boston bag or the Mini bag. :/

I spoke with Karin the store manager at the Times Square store selling the Hello Kitty for Tokidoki line . She said that there were only about 50 Boston Bags available for pre-sale . However she had said that they are not going to pre-sale all the bags in which they are getting because they want the general public to have their chance of scoring one . I was one of the lucky ones who got on the list last week when they first opened the waiting list . I’m number three yeah ! I just called to see if they had a list opened yet. And that day they happened to open it up I got lucky I guess ! I am on the waiting list for two Boston bags . They will only allow up to two of the same items to be purchased per day . If I were you I would call back and speak to Karin directly maybe there is something that she may be able to do for you ! Sorry Zoie it seems with this release you have to be fast and on your toes ! Demand is so high and each store is getting only one shipment . I think all of the stores are sold out on their pre-orders .

not that i was going to get any of the bags, but i thought calling was for being on the “list” to be called to come in when the items arrive. i didn’t know there was pre-orders! oh wow, i misread something along the way in previous posts
at least i didn’t miss anything i wanted from the line.

not to sound mean hehe, but oh man there has been so many calls to our store wondering if it was transfered to our SF Center mall store (the list i mean).
NO we did not receive momoberry’s list… it is the HOME OFFICE that does have it, i do not know at the time about who has it though…

LMJ - If you are asking where the Momoberry pre-orders are getting transferred to, it is the home office (which not a store!). See SF Sanrio worker’s comment above.

I didn’t want to add to the comments until I was 100% certain…. but I was very fortunate to get on MOMOBERRY’S list because of this wonderful site and the heads up on the Tokidoki/Hello Kitty collaberation. Out of the 4 stores listed I fortunately decided to pick MOMOBERRY for some reason and got on the list immediately for the Boston bag and wallet for my daughter who loves Tokidoki items. (Yes, I am a father and just love to make my daughter surprised and happy by buying these items for her without her knowledge of me doing so.)
I just received confirmation in an email from the place where the transfers from MOMOBERRY were sent with the following:
“I just wanted to let you know we received your billing/shipping information from Momoberry.
Your order will be processed as soon as the products get here from Tokyo- early March.”……etc (more was in the email but this is the most imprtant part)…….
I sort of knew all along since I was also advised about a week ago to send either a fax or photo’s through email to them with my i.d. and credit card information for the order to be processed since I ordered by phone…. Today I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at my email and saw this confirmation notice. My daughter will flip when she receives these from me as a gift.
It is also her birthday and I just gave her quite a few Tokidoki items 2 of the new dresses, a hoodie, and the “I LOVE LA BULLET WATCH”.
I guess I will let her have the Boston bag and the matching wallet for Easter……
Again, I assume those of you that ordered from MOMOBERRY and are getting their order filled would receive a similar email from them.
I thought I would share this with all of you since I have found so much about Tokidoki through this site…. Even my wife owns Tokidoki handbags…Of course hers is in the more subdued all black Campeggio bag instead of the boldly printed ones. The bags I must say are very well made and roomy….. Both the daughter and wife love them…..

way to go Don! it’s very rare to see fathers really pay attention to their daughters this way. i hope she’ll enjoy it. i know i would if i was your daughter. my daughter gets ecstatic when i get my own personal bags in the mail (because she knows they’re eventually hers one day, and also knows that i’ll let her borrow them too!).

The main thing is that my daughter keeps me abreast of things that are happening now a days….Keeps me in the loop …. So it’s nice to be able to give her things she wants but can not afford on her own…. It’s basically what my father did for me so I do the same for her….. It’s hard now a days with everything quickly rising for the basic essentials such as gas, electric, health insurance, etc. to make a go of it now a days on your own so I try to help her out when I can…..I am by no means extremely wealthy but I sacrifice for myself and so does my wife so that we can get things my daughter wants…. The look on her face when she receives these things is priceless and that’s why I do it…. She appreciates everything I do for her….. She never asks for the things but when we look or talk about fashion items I can tell when she gets that “I wish I had that look”………… She is a good girl and a hard worker so it’s hard to not get her little items such as these when she says she is “house poor”…you know when all you basically are doing is working to pay the bills and survive……. I am always looking on Ebay and for big sale items and a lot of that I get from this site…… It’s great the way everyone shares information on here instead of keeping it a secret so others may benefit from things discovered by others…..

happysmoke…. I am sure that your dad does as much as he can for you within his means…. Sometimes it’s hard to be a father and not be able to give your children everything they want…..It’s as hard on the father as the child when a child wants and the father cannot provide that item…. I don’t believe that there is one father of the people who come to this board that doesn’t do all they can for their children within their means………
That said, I thank you so much for the compliment….and I will have the adoption papers drawn up today for you…….lol…..

JUST GOT THIS MESSAGE ABOUT THE TOKIDOKI / HELLO KITTY ITEMS I ORDERED THROUGH MOMOBERRY AND TRANSFERRED TO THEIR MAIN STORE………
“We are expecting the product this week sometime.
Product should ship by next week.
I will email you tracking info as soon as we ship.”
SO THE ITEMS SHOULD BE HERE THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH……YIPEE!!!
