I got mail from JapanLA saying my order shipped a couple of days ago - I ordered the camera case and a necklace. I thought it might be a mistake but seeing here that tokidoki.it is shipping already, I’m hoping that my order will be here any time now! Exciting!!!

Hi, this is Jamie from JapanLA…our website sends an automatic email that says things shipped once we charge them…I’m working on fixing that…so, sorry to get you guys excited, but the hello kitty x tokidoki stuff is still coming in April…We will start shipping the necklaces Friday or Monday. So, if you ordered multiple items, we will be shipping the necklaces right away and the other stuff that’s coming in April when that comes in. I hope that clears things up.

Good question Bridget I would like to know that as well….. so is the Hello Kityy / Tokidoki necklace a limited edition or not….. The main reason I ask is if it is like all the other necklaces put out by Tokidoki then it may be best to wait until there is a sle or our administrator here puts up some specials for us on this site….. You know like all things 10% off or more at so and so website……

Hey does anyone know what the shipping is to canada?? Do they have options other than UPS? UPS charges us Canadians a brokerage fee+taxes of about 70$ on anything over 100$ ! It’s crazy!!!!!

i’m not going to lie, i’m pretty upset about my hopes getting up so high from my email from japanla. and i also think it’s weird that they waited so long to charge my card in the first place, but then to do it so long before the items actually ship? that’s kind of strange.

To me if some of you are worried about your pre order from JapanLA then I would say to just order it from Tokidoki.it and cancel the pre order from JapanLA. That way you get the necklace and don’t have to worry about whether or not you are getting it from JapanLA…. OR You can call JapanLA first and ask if you are 100% going to get the necklace and if they say they can’t state that for sure then cancel the order and buy from Tokidoki.it
I am sure though that JapanLA will honor all pre orders…….
I am still hopeful that someone can state if the necklace is limited in numbers or not…… Also, I would like to know if the other stores like The Giant Peach, Karmaloop, Metropark, Pulse, Trendy Star will be carrying the necklace as well…….

I e-mailed the Giant Peach about a week ago and they told me they ARE planning to carry some of the Tokidoki/HK stuff. I’m not entirely sure if that includes the necklace but I’m kind of suspecting it’s not as limited as some people may expect it to be.

The one thing I hate is to hurry up with a purchase and then later to find I could have gotten it at a discount with one of the codes supplied here ….. I can’t believe that no one knows if this is a limited edition or not…..With the previous answer from cece I would assume that the GIANT PEACH will be carrying the necklace and possibly the clothing line but not the limited Hello Kitty/Tokidoki purses, etc……. So maybe there is still hope for a discount code…….

Don - I don’t have any additional info about the necklace at this time. I think if it was limited edition that someone would have told us so by now though. However I also would be surprised if it was ever placed on sale since it seems to be such a popular item that stores won’t have any trouble selling out of at retail.

I know it will sell out and never be placed on sale but what I was looking for was a code like today’s 20% off any purchase at Panik’s Toy Box using the code LEAP08 … That way if let’s say Japan LA had a code for 20% off then I could apply it to the necklace and get like $9 knocked off the price…… Just looking to save a little to buy a lot more….lol

tarnishedhalo28 - i just got my HK necklace in the mail the other day. it’s the same chain but a teeny bit longer (compared to the previous necklaces - i have the rainbow cloud necklace). i’d say it’s about an inch longer.

I just got two necklaces today! one for me and one for my best friend. it is a bit longer than my rondine necklace and the hello kitty pendant is to my surprise really big! it scared me
But i love it. If i had to say anything bad about it, it would be that both had some minor flaws, but maybe i’m too picky. one has this weird very little brown spot and the other has the glitter a bit messy and out of place. Still love them though!
