The tokidoki.it website has a little Valentine’s Day treat posted for us all to enjoy - it’s a short animated Flash movie called Til Death Do Us Part that is tucked away in the Projects section of the site, and it is really cute! I especially liked the Moofia playing with Bastardino in the neighborhood of cow houses.
Many thanks to Saki for sending me a link to an interview with Simone at JoshSpear.com that includes all sorts of exciting info, including confirmation that there definitely will be a new line of bags branded only as tokidoki - “but made by same people behind LeSportsac; same team, same factories.”

Other exciting news, all lifted from the interview: the next cactus friends toy released will be the cactus punk character! That will be a must have for me. Also coming soon are “tokidoki denim in Europe; the two cats of adios and ciao ciao called Skeletrino and Skeletrina; a new line of New Era hats; mimobots; plushes; new lines of watches, jewelry, and other cool stuff.”
ANNNDD - there are plans to open a tokidoki store in the USA in 2009. Simone is “looking for a location.”

Reader ambersdad just managed to get ahold of two new tokidoki necklaces that have not been released yet, and was nice enough to share a photo of them with us! One is a super-cute Mozzarella of the Moofia design, and the other is a Pirata themed design.
I am wondering if the Mozzarella design will also be released in keychain form like we saw on Simone at Pervasive Persuasion. Simone was actually wearing the Pirata necklace there as well - here is a closeup that I pulled from one of the additional pics of the event that marhem sent me:
Reader Mimi was nice enough to send in detailed photos of her tokidoki for Hello Kitty bag from all angles for us to check out, plus her review of the quality of the bag. She thinks that the bag is well-made and is happy with the quality, and reports that the material is vinyl (not leather, yay!). The only drawback is that you can’t zip this style of bag closed, because there is no zipper. Here are her pictures:

A Sanrio employee has been nice enough to leak some more tokidoki for Hello Kitty info to us: at the end of this month is when tokidoki x Hello Kitty willl be released into stores. There will only be 4 USA company owned stores that have it, and they are: San Francisco Center, Times Square, Momoberry in Los Angeles, and Ala Moana. Each store will receive very limited quantities. Also, the tokidoki for Hello Kitty necklace that Simone has been wearing is a USA exclusive item, which is why is it not on the Sanrio Japan website’s list of collaboration items. Our worker does not know how limited the quantities for this necklace will be, but thinks that it will probably also only be at those four USA Sanrio stores.
UPDATE: The manager of the Sanrio Retail Operations department in SF, CA has confirmed all of this info in the comments section of this post, EXCEPT for one thing: the necklace that Simone has been spotted wearing will not be available at all and was a promotional item only!! 
I guess that this means that Tara got herself a true collector’s item! There is still debate over this though - read all of the comments on this post for more info.
Cory just pointed out that Tobi added some new Spring 2008 tokidoki clothing items, including the limited edition raincoat. They will be adding more spring items soon too. In case anyone missed it, there is an exclusive sale for Tokidoki Blog readers at Tobi for the entire month of February.
Also, for those of you have been looking for the first-ever all-over print tokidoki hoodie, I thought I would also point out that I found a Power Seller selling one in size Large on eBay. It’s paired with a cute momo tank from a few seasons back too.
One more random sale update: Karmaloop has a bunch of tokidoki clothing marked down 10% - 35% off, which you can take an extra 20% off at checkout with rep code SR426.
That was quick - the Mummy tee for women is out already! As Jennifer pointed out in the comments in my last post, it is up now on Trendy Stars (3rd page) in grey and pink. (And, Krisha also found the women’s grey mummy tee on eBay!) So now I am debating if I should get the women’s grey version, or the men’s red… or both. 
Readers Marisa and Tracy also let me know that they have found tokidoki bags and clothes on super-sale at Macy’s in CA (Stoneridge Mall, Pleasanton) and NY (Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove).
