Vicky from Chicki just sent me some more photos of the 2008 European tokidoki bags - check them out below. How cute are the 80s Print wallet and the Vinile baby barrel bag?! I like the t-shirt that the model in the second to last photo is wearing too. Vicky said that she is ordering the new bags this weekend and hopes to have them available in about 3 weeks.

Today marks the official announcement of the tokidoki mimobot collection of designer USB flash drives designed by Simone Legno and produced by mimoco. The release date will be April 18th at New York Comic Con! Simone will be there signing at mimibot’s booth #857 on Saturday from 2-4pm only - he will sign one customized vimobot vinyl art toy for the first 100 people to sign up. Mimoco will be opening up for preorders on their website starting today, and orders will begin shipping April 18th.

As with all mimobot series, the tokidoki mimobot Series will be available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB capacities, high-speed USB 2.0, and compatible with Mac, Windows, and Windows Vista’s ReadyBoost technology. I just received confirmation from a Hawaii LeSportsac employee that after the re-release of the L’Amore print in April, Pirata will be re-released in May and Spiaggia will be re-released in June - for a total of SIX print re-releases! (Or eight, if you count the 2007 Euro-exclusive original tokidoki print re-release and the DFS Citta Rosa re-release.) These print re-releases will continue to happen in Hawaii and Guam only.
Karmaloop just added a bunch of tokidoki Spring II clothing for women, including the new pants and shorts. As always, you can use rep code SR426 at any time for 20% off your entire order at checkout. They also have a bunch of older clothing items on sale or marked down below retail. I’m still not sure if this season is “me” or not, but I like some of the items better now that I can see what they look like on an actual person.

Jessi also told me that the Waikiki LeSportsac in Hawaii still has a lot of Paradiso bags left, and that a sales guy there told her that he was expecting future shipments of tokidoki for LeSportsac bags in Inferno, Pirata, Famiglia, Tutti and Spiaggia. Vicky from Chicki sent me some photos of the newest 2008 European tokidoki clothing available through Fornari for us to drool over. She may be ordering the hoodies (they are my favorites!) but wants to get the bags in stock first.
Sue from Canada just received her new tokidoki diamond necklace and commented with the scoop on it, which I am re-posting here - vote on if she should deface it by making the small diamonds into earrings or not! I vote no, I think it is really cute as-is.
“Hey all - I *finally* got my DIAMOND necklace! So - here’s some info that might be of interest:
1) the necklace very long - like kinda gangstah!
2) the diamonds on the side (the little ones) do not have happy faces! In reality they have the somewhat irritated look on their face (like on the t shirt - where the mouth is straight and the eyes are more angry looking).
Personally I prefer that the big one is happy and the small ones are irritated - it’s more interesting. I mean the center of attention and the *jealous* sidekicks perhaps? Also - all the charms are double sided so if they flip, the same thing is on both sides.
P.S.: I know you’ll gasp at this but I was half contemplating removing the small ones and making them into earrings! I do that regularly with stuff so I can see how it would look kind of neat! Like a matching set.
At the same time - defacing a tokidoki collectors item *gasp*…. I dunno.”
Reader Line just let me know about a stash of new tokidoki for Hello Kitty items on eBay, including clothing and items featuring the new prints! (You might need to go to page 2 to see the newer prints.) Some of the pictures are poor quality, but from what I can tell the new items are extremely cute.
Another reader also let me know that at the San Francisco Sanrio store got their shipment of tokidoki for Hello Kitty items in yesterday, and after filling all of the pre-orders, “ALL ITEMS ARE STILL AVAILABLE - EXCEPT the purses!!! All purses have been allocated to wait lists only. However anyone can go to the store and pick up any of the small accessories, plush dolls, key chains, cell phone charms…”

Here is a recap of what she shared:
“I have just had my first glimpse of the new tokidoki bag range from Italy. There are 3 prints but I would say the print which is on your shopper is by far the best. I think they are calling it the 80’s print. There is also an Adios print in black and white and a camouflage print. Altogether there is 8 new bags and 1 wallet. There is also a cute new grey and white shopper which will retail for about £15.
They will range from £40 - £100 so it’s about the same as the LeSportsac prices. They have just released a new shopper thats very good value. It will retail for about £15 and is just great for the more environmentally friendly shopper. It will fold up nicely and fit in your hand bag. ”
