Women’s Spring II Clothing at Trendy Stars

Trendy Stars just added the Spring II 2008 tokidoki clothing collection to their shop. Like the men’s Spring II collection, the designs and colors are very different from what we are used to seeing from tokidoki. Also included are two brand new outerwear items – windbreakers! Here are some highlights – the yellow tank is my personal favorite from this collection:

Trendy Stars also let me know that they have extended their 10% off sale until March 16th – use coupon code MTK0309 for 10% off all full-priced tokidoki men’s and women’s apparel.

Here is one additional new arrival photo that ambersdad took in their physical store in Hawaii called Chic Icon:

Wow. I like the direction simone is going, esp. the inclusion of graffiti stylings. Now, all he needs to do is make more men’s stuff….O:-]

  6. Sharon – Eco Mondo is my favorite of the new prints. I linked to a blog post where you can see a bit of the new prints here – Carnival is the most visible but you can see bits of the other 2 prints if you look closely. p.s. Check your e-mail. :)

Hmmm…I’m really excited about the Eco Mondo print bag, but I’m not thrilled about the other prints as well as the new clothes. I think it’s the graffiti style I’m not crazy about.

really kyoot bubble dress! lovin’ all the brighter colors too! and i LOVE the rainbow gradient zipper..that’s how i envisioned rainbow zippers initially…Betsey Johnson has done it that way so I was quite jealous. The new prints are cute, but I’m not all over them like with the lesportsac prints.

Where can I see the Eco Mondo print? Cuz I’m not really liking the color scheme of the Carnival print. :( And what is the remaining print called? (There are 3 new ones, right?) By the way, I really don’t like the graffiti style either..

is it just me or does the clothing look like it’s made out of sheer, cheap material??

and can i please, please receive an email of the prints, too?!

Is it me or are these clothes a bit 80s inspired? Don’t get me wrong, I think some of the pieces are really freakin’ cute (like the red short sleeved hoodie with the record on the front). It’ll be interesting to see these in person.

I love the dress it’s really cute. I also like some of the shirts. Not much of a fan of the graffiti style. I suppose to each there own. There is a range of styles which gives the fan versatility.

Nothing strikes my fancy :( I do not like that style of rainbow zipper-it’s used on so many of the awful fake toki/LSS bags-yuck.

hmmm… i’m not sure about those. it comes across as very 80s to me too. the bubble dress could be really cute, but it looks like you can see the polka dot material through the print and i’m not wild about that.
does anyone know when the plushes from the trade show pix will be out? i am DYING to get Skeletrino and Skeletrina!

there’s a website that posted the prints and the new bag styles, if tokidoki blog allows, i’ll post the link here.

  21. miss_kitty22 – I agree that this collection has a very 80s vibe to it. The plushes from the trade show have been keeping us in suspense for over a year now – their release date keeps getting delayed indefinitely. When I hear anything concrete I will definitely post it. p.s. Make sure you read the comments to the “tobi sale” post right before this one.

CactusGirl – I have seen a few of the tokidoki for Hello Kitty t-shirt designs and they are really cute. One is an all-over print with Hello Kitties in cactus suits, tokidoki logos, Hello Kitty nana stars, Sandy, and a toki girl holding a Hello Kitty. The other two I saw are character single scenes: HK + moofia and HK meets Inferno.

tammy – They were posted here yesterday.

I was totally loving the black windbreaker, but when I saw the front I was like whoa…. lol. the front looks like something I would see an old lady pimpin’ out out the park… I think its because of the purple rainbows near the elbow area and the rainbow zipper…>>… Btw Ashley I think I agree with you on that one. It seems as though the quality of the materials aren’t as good/the same as before. You can totally tell the difference after that evil candy short sleeved hoodie was released. And you can feel the difference between the old tees and the new ones from the spring collection. The fabric isn’t as soft.

Joyce- the large tote “Amica” is $210. kind of sucks but i’m looking forward to a structured “buon viaggio” instead of being sack-like.

I REALLY like the pink button-up tank with the records. It’s so cute!!! I like tops in that style – like a normal, stylish top with the print strategically placed as opposed to the t-shirts.

The Carnival print is my favorite of the new prints, and I like Eco-Mondo second best. :)

  37. Krisha says:

Joyce – rumor has it that the bags will be a bit larger. so i’m hoping that’s true so the extra $50 i’m spending on a tote shape bag is because of that and the structured quality.

Does anyone know if the bags will be sold at the LeSportsac stores? Or at Macys? Thanks!

    ReplyReply
  41. DON says:

I am sorry but I have heard I believe somewhere and possibly on this site about the bag being made by LeSportsac still but not carrying their name on it only the Tokidoki name….. If that is the casae then I don’t believe Macy’s would carry them…. Can someone put on here exactly who is manufacturing the bag if I am wrong and also if it is only Tokidoki associated with it then I am sure only Tokidoki retailers will be selling them…… just rambling but perhaps someone can straighten this all out for me….thanks

I wish at least one of the bags would have a long purse style strap instead of those short handbag style ones :/

    ReplyReply
  43. I don’t know what zippers the new bags will have – I do know that the usual boutiques will sell them. Not sure about department stores or LeSportsac stores.

Don – LeSportsac is manufacturing the bags. They will be branded “tokidoki” only but still made by LeSportsac.

Cory – I was thinking the same thing about the straps – the long strap bags are my favorite styles.
