New 2008 tokidoki Journal + Bag Re-Release Updates
Reader Jessi let me know that there is a new 2008 tokidoki journal design coming soon that is available for pre-order on Amazon and TFAW.
Jessi also told me that the Waikiki LeSportsac in Hawaii still has a lot of Paradiso bags left, and that a sales guy there told her that he was expecting future shipments of tokidoki for LeSportsac bags in Inferno, Pirata, Famiglia, Tutti and Spiaggia. She thinks he might have also mentioned L’Amore. Has anyone heard anything else like this? The store is located at 2234 Kalakaua Ave. in Honolulu, HI and the store number is (808) 971-2905.

I don’t know about Waikiki but Ala Moana told me that Inferno bags would be coming out this month and then L’amore bags would be out next month.

Really? Pirata, Famiglia, Tutti and Spiaggia??? I really hope so! From what the SA’s told me in the Waikiki and Ala Moana location was just Lamore in April and then no more. I really hope that they will release Famiglia and Spiaggia so I can finally get those prints in MM’s.

I haven’t heard about Pirata, Famiglia, Tutti & Spiaggia either and I basically LIVE in Lesportsac LOL j/k. But yes…the inferno re-release is supposedly going on sale this afternoon - L Amore is being re-released in April as Joanne said. Most of the stores in Hawaii still have a good stock left of Tutti so I’m not sure why they’d want to order more but who knows. Also a side note….for those of you who pre-ordered at Sanrio Ala Moana talked to the manager last week…those should be coming in this week as well!

I don’t like how the sushi bar and girl are cut off on the back. I love all the green on this journal, it’s pleasing to the eye unlike the pink on the other journal.

I called the Waikiki LSS store about 30 minutes ago - they are getting their inferno stuff at about 2:00 p.m. HST. They didn’t know how many of each style they would be getting.

Update - YES - Ala Moana Lesportsac (808) 973-6306 received their boxes of INFERNO this morning. Waikiki stores are supposed to be getting their shipments in this afternoon at 2:00 HST. I talked to the Waikiki Store manager today…today is the best time to call as they are doing phone orders - NO HOLDS on the first day of re-release and there is a strict limit of 2 per style. Ala Moana store still has all the styles available…running low on mm’s though.
I also asked her about the possible re-release of Spiaggia, Tutti, Pirata etc…she says NO that she hasn’t heard ANYTHING about any releases other than the PARADISO (which already was re-released), INFERNO (released TODAY) & LAMORE. One would think if anyone would know it would be the store manager right? But we can all hope :).

WENT TO A LSS STORE JUST NOW AND THEY WERE JUST PULLING THE INFERNO BAGS OUT OF BOXES. I GOT THE BEST PLACEMENT FOR MY DAUGHTERS BV YOU CAN IMAGINE ON BOTH SIDES. SOOO AWESOME. I WAS JUST TELLING MY WIFE LAST NIGHT WHAT I THOUGHT THE BEST PLACEMENT ON THE INFERNO WOULD BE, AND I GOT IT ! ! !
THE ONLY SAD THING ABOUT ALL THIS IS THAT GUAM HAD INFERNO AVVENTURAS AND I WAS TOLD HAWAII DIDN’T ORDER ANY. I TOLD THE MANAGER TO CALL ME IF THEY EVER GET ANY AVVENTURAS IN STOCK.

Waikiki stores still have a lot of bags–Ala Moana pretty much sold out this morning. They did not expect to get the shipment today so did not call people ahead of time and only started calling and leaving messages today. They expect it will be very busy after work time when people get their messages. Waikiki actually was busy and had lots of phone inquiries going on. They won’t be doing phone orders until tomorrow.

Yeah, the Zucca costs more because it’s Hawaii retail. I paid like $205 or something w/ tax for a gioco here…
And yeah, I haven’t heard anything about this tutti, spiaggia re-release thing?? Where did that info pop up from? When I talked to SA’s before they only said Inferno, Paradiso & Amore…
btw, the journal is cute…I still haven’t used my first one so idk if I’ll be getting this one..but it sure is cute

Does anyone realize there is a new LeSportsac in Waikiki? It’s at the Hyatt. They don’t have as much stuff as Ala Moana but it doesn’t sell as fast.
I saw a Paradiso back pack in there window a couple of days ago and nobody else has them. The other stores sold out already. It’s gone now but the staff told me they only recieved one and that it was a couple of weeks ago.
Let’s just keep this a secret. Shhh….

Honestly, I think we in Hawaii have the crap end of the tokidoki deal, to tell you the truth. We cannot order any Toki for Lesportsac from any stores in the mainland - they have blocked us. We have higher retail prices. Only our LSS sell Toki for Lesportsac, whereas the mainland can sell theirs in stores like Nordstroms and so on. Our accessories/tees/etc are priced higher. It takes longer for merchandise to get here.
& it’s funny how peole in the mainland can order from our lesportsacs…when we can’t order from theirs huh? Nice. Seems like they want that extra moolah.
IDK…really seems like we have the crap end of the deal, truth.

I just phone order an *inferno* denaro, mama mias and a ciao from the Waikiki store.. and it cost me $424….. It hurts my wallet a lot. but crap.. just to complete my Inferno collection… altho i only have Zucca and Canguro in Inferno….

i called them last nite at 7PM Eastern time..the lady name *YoJi* take down what i want and call me one hour later with price and shipping… they only accept MONEY ORDER..
when i first call them on March 17, they only take down names and style. and they said will call back later which they never did…

I’m glad you got what you wanted Tofufar!! I’m giving up calling and I’ll just wait for them to get back to me. If they do, they do. If they don’t they don’t. I think its a little unfair that they’re taking orders for some, while making others wait. I thought I was doing them a favor by not calling 1000 times, but it seems like thats what you have to do to get what you want!!
I can undersatnd the money order thing. Credit cards over the phone are too risky!

i totally agree with you. i do think us hawaii ppl have the crappy end of the deal. i tried to make a phone order from the seattle lesportsac since they were on sale and once i said my address she said “oh sorry, we don’t ship to hawaii” she wasn’t very nice about it either. i was acutally very surprised that hawaii & guam only gets re-releases, finally something good happens here.

i live in hawaii and i didn’t know they were re-releasing the tokidoki lesportsac!! well the only bag i want anyway is the lamore in a mamma mia!! i know you faithful bloggers will let me know when its re-released right? hehe…
BTW i work at the SAnrio ala moana and sad to report we didn’t get our hello kitty tokidoki items in yet… still waiting. o___O

If I had to guess, I’d say the reason why the LeSportsac stuff costs more in Hawaii is because it has to. Different distribution region, probably different rules about who’s allowed to sell them, for how much, etc. Not to mention that, like anything else going to Hawaii, the cost of transporting goods to a tiny rock in the middle of the Pacific is more than a bit higher than transporting goods via land routes.

Are you kidding me? There is the one on Kalakaua near the Waikiki Shopping Center, the one at the Royal Hawaiian that just moved, one at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the new one at the Hyatt.
I went by the Hyatt LSS today. They still have some Paradiso, Notte and Inferno. I asked them to hold an Inferno back pack for me but they said that no Toki Doki can be put on hold.
I asked them about ordering from the mainland and they said they don’t but the Ala Moana Store does. They charge for shipping too. So the mainland people are paying much more because of the shipping. We don’t have it so bad here in Hawai’i. What if we lived in Arkansas or Wyoming?

I stopped by the Ala Moana LeSportsac and they said they would be getting thier Amore’ this week! I’m so excited. I don’t have an Amore’ print yet. My last chance. Whoo hooo!

L’Amore is in!!! Whoo hooo, I got my new Mama Mia yesterday at the Hyatt LeSportsac. I love that shop, it is rarely busy. No problems getting me new bag. I’m so happy.
