Saki just wrote to let me know that she went to the TokyoPlastic custom geisha show at The Showroom on Saturday night, and saw that Simone had done a custom geisha. It is not for sale, but she took a picture to share with all of us. It’s cute!
Then I checked out Saki’s blog, Saki Wrote What?!! and saw that there is a tokidoki Kaniza vinyl figure being released at SDCC ‘08. It will be limited to 1,000 pieces.
As several of you have e-mailed to me and posted in the comments (thanks Jessica, Melissa, Lashonne, nxdlamb, and ariasmama - I’m a little behind and need to catch up again!), The Giant Peach just added 4 new tokidoki for Hello Kitty clothing items, including the blue t-shirt, black short sleeve hoodie, a t-shirt version of the all-over print tank top that we have seen, plus a new dress that we haven’t seen anywhere else yet. The Giant Peach’s photos show a better version of the colors of the all-over print (with the red looking correctly red instead of orangey).
Also, if you haven’t noticed it yet, I added the Tokidoki Reference Photos page and am working my way through getting all of the submissions added.
I have received some additional photos from NYCC from Iman and Cleofe, so here they are! But first, a really fun review - and video! - of the event from Alex:
“I’d like to share that my twin sister Juli and I were at NYCC this weekend and it was an amazing experience! I actually went to Simone autograph signing on Friday in a Mozzarella costume! Everyone on line for autographs gave me lots of positive feedback, warm regards and even took pics with me :] It was really awesome! By the time it was my turn to get an autograph from Simone I was a nervous wreck ahah. It was incredible though to see how excited he was to see me in my costume. He signed my Mozzarella toy and then asked for a pic with me and such. I asked him to sign my costume and he told me it was hard to draw on. I replied that he could just scribble on my costume and it would be fine. I snagged a picture of him and was very pleased :] While my sister was getting her drawing done, he made sure to point out Mozzarella’s boyfriend, Bulleto to us. We told him that we were twins and that we’d probably start working on that costume next! Then we grabbed a pic with him and proceeded to go buy lots of stuff from the TD booth next to him. Overall, it was a really incredible experience to get to meet him. We wouldn’t trade it for the world!”

Reader Heather just let me know that she received a call telling her that the tokidoki L’Amore print re-release is today! It should be starting about 4-5 hours after the time of this posting. As with the other tokidoki bag print re-releases, the L’Amore print re-release is happening at LeSportsac stores in Hawaii and Guam only.
ALSO: According to the Waikiki LeSportsac manager via Krisha, the May re-release of Pirata has been canceled.

Reader Maarten just pointed out a post on Vinyl Pulse announcing a new tokidoki Moofia vinyl toy called Bulleto that is due out in the summer. Bulleto is the male counterpart to Mozzarella and will come packaged with the vinyl shotgun shells pictured.
Some of you already saw Christina point this out in the comments, but I thought I’d make a new post about it too - the tokidoki.it store just added the turquoise and black t-shirts tokidoki for Hello Kitty t-shirts. Retail price is $48 each and it looks like they are selling out fast!

Vicky from Chicki just sent me photos of the European line of tokidoki jewelry that was just released. The charms are made of silk screened perspex, and the chains are brass with glass pearl accents. This is the most expensive line of jewelry yet: the first necklace with all the charms (which is sOoOoOo cute!) will retail at about £65-70.

Call for submissions: I am about to add a new page to this blog for reference photos that show what tokidoki bags, clothing, and/or jewelry look like on actual people. I have enough photos to kick it off as a single page, but if enough people send in pictures I could break it down into a Bags page, a Clothing page, and a Jewelry page instead.
For clothing photos, just let me know what size you are wearing - if you want to include additional info like your height or measurements that is up to you (it’s helpful, but not required). The one pictured is a Medium, so if I were to buy this tank, I would get a Large (I’m a 36C). I love the fit of the hoodie. It reminds me of my Mozzarella Moofia hoodie (in Medium also).
