New tokidoki and tokidoki for Hello Kitty T-Shirts

Found by Jessica on a German website called Zebraclub – it’s a new tokidoki Medusa Tee (one of the characters that will be on the upcoming Concerto Punk bags):

Found by Jennifer at the Ala Moana Macy’s in Hawaii – two tokidoki for Hello Kitty t-shirts!

Tara d. also found an all-over print tokidoki for Hello Kitty tank at Macy’s today:

This is a closeup of the tag:

Plus Tara just sent some additional pics & info – she also found a tokidoki for Hello Kitty hoodie at Macys:

In the pics above, she is wearing is the Medium size with the tank top underneath. Tara has this info to share with us about the fit of the new tokidoki for Hello Kitty clothing: “The tank and the Sandy t-shirt pictured above, run SMALL. Really small. The one pictured is a Medium, so if I were to buy this tank, I would get a Large (I’m a 36C). I love the fit of the hoodie. It reminds me of my Mozzarella Moofia hoodie (in Medium also). The hoodie kinda hugs the body, but doesn’t suffocate, it’s still a little bit loose. My waist size is 33″ and my hips are 37.” I stand 5’5″ and wear a size 6/8.”

:( i lucked out myself on the Sandy tee because i did a CP for someone in the same size that i wear. i have a secret: i do have the hoodie in M (that i might buy for myself) and in L, and also the Sandy tee in XL (which is too big for me), on HOLD till tonight. i can do a CP if you want. let me know ASAP, and by ASAP i mean w/i the next three hours…

  2. Vicky says:

Aw that tanks too cute. U guys get so much more choice and way cheaper clothes. Its not fair :C

  3. Jamie says:

Damn. I don’t think I’ll even bother checking my local Macy’s stores. They don’t even sell Harajuku Lovers, so I doubt they’ll have tokidoki in.

  4. Rebekah says:

I went to my local Macy’s today, and they didn’t have any tokidoki for Hello Kitty. My mall is pretty bad in general. It doesn’t have an Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, movie theater, Nordstrom, or any fancy restaurants. My Macy’s carries Harajuku Lovers, but only the shoes and bags. I got three of my tokidoki bags from there, so I was hoping I would find the clothes, but no luck. :(

  5. Tara d. says:

CP offer not available – sorry! good luck on the Toki hunt, girls!!

  6. marhem says:

Tara d: if you read my comment again, i said, “they MIGHT have it at all Macy’s ” … I never said that it is available AT ALL Macy’s and that was just to answer a question if it was exclusive to Hawaii.

Arimitealeaf; the red star promo ended last Sunday 4/6/08.

Jenn: I do go to Topanga … we love that mall but sorry, I did not check if they had any. The glendale one was just by chance … I just happen to pass by it on the way to the escalator. The hoodie caught my eye !

on my birthday, we went to HappySix in LA and happened upon Ivan there. I overheard him telling the store owner/manager that they’re having problems with the Sanrio stuff ( I would assume the HK/tokidoki line ) so I wouldn’t be surprised about the delay but don’t quote me you guys because I am not claiming to be a reliable source… I am just sharing what I know .But I did call Happy six and the sales associate said they will have the hk/td stuff minus the bags in the next month or two and I mentioned that Macy’s had the clothes and she replied that Macys would have first pick rather than smaller stores like them.
I will be going to the Beverly Center Macy’s today to check…I’ll let you guys know if I find any.

  7. Jenn says:

Hey no worries, marhem. Thanks for letting me know that you dropped in on Topanga, regardless of whether or not you checked. :) That was nice of you. I’m going to be around that area tomorrow so if I happen to pop in, I’ll post here if they had any of the clothes. I figure if worse comes to worse if tokidoki.it or sanrio.com start selling the clothes online, I’ll go through them.

  8. arimitealeaf says:

marhem: thanks, but actually, there’s a red star promo of 20% off currently running too. it started this past wed and ends sun. my friend was able to get 20% at her local macy’s, so this evening, i went back to the SF macy’s. when the salesperson did a price check, it rang as 20% off, so she did a return and buyback for me. she didn’t have any explanation about why it didn’t ring up as 20% off the first time though. weird.

but anyone going to macy’s this weekend, make sure to check your receipt before you leave! the 20% should be taken off automatically and will be stated on the receipt.

  9. marhem says:

Beverly Center (LA) Macy’s has a couple of the hoodies, tanks, and black shirts and only one teal shirt :)

  10. pru says:

Thanks for the info Tara d. Too bad I wasn’t around today to jump on your CP!!! :) I’d be all over that action!!! I’ll call Concord tomorrow in the off chance they have something left.

Does anyone know if Macy’s stores ship? I know Nordstrom does this, so I thought maybe there’s a chance…

  11. lyssa says:

Yes, Macy’s can ship…but you have to pay for shipping =/

  12. Pru says:

Thanks Lyssa! That helps me A LOT!

At this point, I don’t mind paying for shipping since the stores that carry it are an hour from me and with gas at $4 a gallon…..I’m probably getting a better deal with shipping, sadly. lol :)

  13. Pru says:

Okay, I was able to easily order a hoodie and tank from the Beverly Center. It was $10 for shipping, which wasn’t bad I thought. They also told me the release was April 16th, but that most stores just put them out when they got them.

The sales person there (at the BC) said they still had a good stock of items left. A few hoodies and tanks, lots of tees. The Macy’s in Concord mostly had smalls left. Anyway, just thought I’d pass along what I found out in case anyone is looking to phone order. I was also told at each Macy’s I called (I called four or five) that they are definitely anticipating more stock soon.
    Good Luck everyone!! :)

  14. Jenn says:

Thanks for letting us now about the release date. I checked the Topanga Mall at the Macy’s and the metropark store. Nada. I may just end up ordering it online (if I can!). I’m going to check another mall close to me since I’m going there anyway tonight to go to the GAP, but very doubtful that they’ll have it. I guess I can always go through the Beverly Center. I might have them ship it since I hate driving down there, lol.

  15. annie says:

    i’m a manager at a gap!

i’m tempted to call beverly center, but funds are kind of low right now. (just got back from disney). i don’t think any macys in the lansing or detroit area will carry the tokidoki hello kitty line, they didn’t carry the bags. ugh i am so jealous of you west coasters!

  16. Jenn says:

No tokidoki Hello Kitty at the Macy’s at the Northridge Fashion Center. That was expected, but still kinda sad. :( lol, though I did score an Adios surfing tee for 22 bucks at a Sidecca store. They’re having a sale on some tokidoki items.

  17. alisha c says:

I just bought a hoodie from SF’s Macy’s today. I am pretty sure there was still one hoodie in size S after my purchase. I think there were some tees left. maybe 5 for each pattern but I didn’t see the all-over print top there. Good luck to you guys! :]

  18. jessica says:

grr i don’t like living in australia they dont have macys or barely anywhere that sells tokidoki
the hello kitty shirts are so cute
i was surprised when i found the mudusa shirt

  19. Jamie says:

Haha, I just called local Macy’s in Cleveland, Ohio, just to be 110% sure. They had no idea what tokidoki was, which was expected. I called Metropark and the woman told me that they’re probably not going to get a lot of the HK stuff in due to the fact that the brand itself wasn’t popular or selling well. I also contacted this store called Ideal and when I asked if they were going to get any HK in, and the guy told me that if they did, they’d only get the accessories. So…

  20. annie says:

can you imagine the killing that sanrio/tokidoki would make on this stuff if it were more available? we went to the sanrio store in orlando when we went down to disney and i told tj that if they had any of the items, i would have bought them all. they’re missing out on a goldmine! the demand is WAY more than the supply, which is probably how they want it, but they could be making way more money.

  21. Pru says:

How crazy, I never would have though the brand didn’t sell well at Metropark. With the rates some people are paying for tokidoki/HK on ebay right now, you’d think Sanrio would be packing their stores with the stuff, or at least have it for purchase online! :)

  22. Annie says:

I bought the black and aqua tees on Ebay! I just had to have them!

  23. Jenn says:

On the tokidoki.it blog, they claim that some of the merchandise will be sold online at tokidoki.it and sanrio.com. I’m checking everyday now, lol.

  24. annie says:

    pru-

exactly! especially with the low cost it takes to make the items, it seems like they would be willing to take any sort of loss on the stuff they wanted to sell, especially seeing what things are selling for on ebay! it’s business 101 and they’re totally failing! i’m their biggest sucker but i can’t even get my hands on the goods!

  25. mary says:

i really want the blue shirt so if any of you guys have the macys tag number so i can bring it to macys to do a search on where they can locate one, please send info to mary.mark@tmo.blackberry.net. thanks!

  26. Michiko_x says:

For all of the Bay Area Tokidoki Lovers, Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, CA had a somewhat decent selection of the TD & HK clothing (at least 5 or 6 hoodies in S and M; a few of the teal shirts in M, L & XL and a couple of the black T’s i think in S and M. They also had some of the older windbreakers (black) and about 4 different other t-shirt prints (just TD prints, the mummy, surfing adios, broken record, and one of the pirate prints) on Saturday when I went. I was pleasantly surprised that Pleasanton had such a great TD selection (pun intended :D )

Also I spoke with a manager at Metropark and he said that some of the stores (if not all, not sure which ones) should be getting in some of the TD and HK clothing this week sometime. He said they are getting in the hoodies and the black T’s, that’s all he knew. So be on the lookout for those this week, maybe they might have the clothing to order online, that would be really cool! :D

  27. Pru says:

OMG, I called Stoneridge and they kept trying to sell me Harajuku Lovers shirts! I figured they must not have tokidoki since the girl kept saying, “Yea, tokidoki is the Harajuku line, but they don’t have Hello Kitty stuff.”

Glad to hear there is another source in the Bay Area. Thanks for the info!!!

Also, I just got an email from tokidoki.it asking about all the HK stuff we keep seeing on ebay- the pink camo shirts, green and black prints, and their response was “Yes, we will have it. That will all be available very soon.” I hope their very soon and my very soon mean the same thing, lol! :)

  28. Jenn says:

GAH!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for imparting the info to us, Pru! Can’t wait to finally get my hands on one of those Japan shirts!

  29. Margaret says:

can u only get those in Hawaii?

  30. gracer1120 says:

Can you get any of these item for the LA TD lovers??

  31. christina says:

the 2 tokidoki for hello kitty shirts (the black shirt and the blue shirt)

    are now on tokidoki.it

  32. cha says:

some tokidoki sightings for anyone living in SoCal…

-lots of TD x HK stuff at the MetroPark at Irvine Spectrum.
-no TD X HK stuff at the Macy’s at Irvine Spectrum (maybe they haven’t put it out though; i didn’t ask).
-some TD x HK stuff at Macy’s at Fashion Valley (San Diego). Mostly shirts.. didn’t see the hoodie or the all-over print tank.

my wallet is happy to report i didn’t buy any of it. i mean, it’s cute and all. but i didn’t love anything enough to cough out $50+.

  33. kristi says:

Thanks Christina! I may just have to order one!

The site also has La’more Portas available! So cute.

  34. TOKIinHI says:

Christina- THANK YOU THANK YOU…. wanted the turquoise TD x HK shirt. Saw it on ebay where bunnytoki (ebay) wanted $89 for it :( for that amount plus shipping I could purchase BOTH the black one and the turquoise one.

  35. Veronica says:

Now they are on the Tokidoki.it web-site ! No need to feed the greed of those E-Bay sellers . Especially the ones on the forums who lurk find out what everyone is crazy about buys them only to sell for an inflated price ! I say no to those people !

  36. Veronica says:

I’m glad tokidoki.it got some in they are so popular ! I guess ALL those E-Bay flippers are pretty mad right now ! Serves them right I say ! I suppose there will be plenty of returns at Macy’s this week !

  37. Veronica says:

TOKIinHI glad you didn’t give in to those E-Bay flippers ! I’m glad you found your shirt . By the way any news from Hawaii regarding the L’Amore re-release ? I have someone doing a custom purchase for me . I will soon have a Mamma Mia and Denaro on it’s way yeah !

  38. Mary says:

Well I read what Tara D. said about the fitting saying it runs small. Really really small. And I like my clothes to hug the body so I spent $200 ordering the blue shirt and hoodie in size small from Macy’s in CA. (next day air) I got it in the mail 2days ago and was very mad that it runs BIG. Super big. It would probably hug my body when I was 7 months pregnant. I’m 5’3″ 32B-24-33. Maybe I got a medium with the wrong size tags on it?But now I’m stuck with 2 tops I really love that I would lose shipping money if I returned.

  39. Jenn says:

So after reading Mary’s comment, the question is, are the Hello Kitty shirts similar to the regular tokidoki shirts? I’m figuring I should get a medium, but I’m hesitant to do so after reading Mary’s comment.

  40. annie says:

damn! i ordered a large tokidoki/hello kitty tee because my other tokidoki shirts i had to buy in large! that thing better fit or i’m gonna be pissy!

crap. i’ll probably wear it all the time anyway.

  41. lyssa says:

i’m not sure about the t-shirts cuz i didn’t get mine yet, but the tank runs pretty small. by the time i got to the store they only had a medium left…i usually wear a small or x-small. i mean i buy clothes from the kids section sometimes..but anyway suprisingly the tank fit so i got it.

oh and if anyone is looking for the hoodie a bunch of Macys stores still has them i only checked on the small size but i can check for the other sizes tomorrow

  42. Esther says:

Hello,Can anyone tell me why there are tokidoki for hello kitty t-shirts with inside tags like the one posted by Tara D. and others without them like the ones posted by Jennifer? I have bougth the blue one on ebay an I’m not sure if it is authentic…Thank you.

  43. Jan says:

Did anyone find the orange tank in hawaii??

  44. lyssa says:

Jan – yeah Ala Moana Macys had them earlier…not anymore though…it’s actually red, not orange like it shows in the picture

  45. annie says:

esther-i ordered mine directly from tokidoki.it and it came with just the tokidoki/hello kitty tag, and not the tokidoki tag that comes on all tokidoki clothing (heart and crossbones).

as for sizing and all that, i ordered a large and it was the same size as my other larges that i have bought in the tokidoki line. so no size discrepencies thank god.

  46. Pru says:

I held a hello kitty/tokidoki shirt up to a regular tokidoki shirt at Macy’s to see the size difference. Both shirts were Mediums, and the hello kitty/tokidoki one was about 1 inch smaller on each side. So, they ARE DEFINITELY SMALLER. But at the same time, if you like things a bit tight, you could probably just wear these a lot and they would stretch over time. I decided to buy a size bigger than normal (for regular tokidoki) and I just shrunk it in my dryer for the perfect fit.

I personally don’t like things too tight or too loose, so I think all of this depends on how you like your clothes to fit you. It’s not anyone’s fault if the clothes don’t fit the way you like them to. It’s always a gamble when you mail order clothing.

  47. ariasmama says:

the giant peach has some TDxHK stuff for sale! The hoodie, aqua tee and a few other things that are super cute!! I HAD to order the allover print shirt and the red shirt!

  48. annie says:

good find mama! i usually check those sites every day a few things on peach i haven’t seen anywhere else!

  49. frances says:

does anyone have a coupon for the giant peach?

for all the Hawaii peeps – just went to Metropark in Ala Moana (near the new Nordstrom) and they have the hoodie and the black t-shirt.

  50. ihatetDfakes says:

Metropark Ala Moana only has 1 hoodie in stock at the moment!!! They have lots of the Tokidoki x HK Black shirt (the one with the devil, hotdog and HK).
