Both shirts were Mediums, and the hello kitty/tokidoki one was about 1 inch smaller on each side. So, they ARE DEFINITELY SMALLER. But at the same time, if you like things a bit tight, you could probably just wear these a lot and they would stretch over time. I decided to buy a size bigger than normal (for regular tokidoki) and I just shrunk it in my dryer for the perfect fit. I personally don't like things too tight or too loose, so I think all of this depends on how you like your clothes to fit you. It's not anyone's fault if the clothes don't fit the way you like them to. It's always a gamble when you mail order clothing.
