Playground Campeggio Madness on eBay
Ok, so who else is watching the 3 Playground Campeggios:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280233888824
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290236630720
that are up on eBay right now? I am so curious how each will end!
I also just wanted to warn everyone that the third auction seems to feature a stolen photo and should probably be avoided.
June 6th, 2008 at 6:13 pm
WHOA! I was looking at those and thinking…sheesh who would pay $1500 for a used bag…but apparently someone paid over $1800 for one a couple days before…

I love tokidoki but I also have a weekly bill of $60 to fill my tank on my little compact car….that’s cra-zazy!
June 6th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
holy cow, a $1500 “buy it now” price (the second auction)?!?! craaaazy.
June 6th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
That last auction is scary, because the feed back is very strange. Most of it is a bunch of mystery auctions won by one person. I have seen people in the past set-up a second Ebay account, bid on their own items just to drive up their feedback. Don’t know if this is the case but I second avoiding that third auction, especially since there was a recent person who won an item and did not get anything.
June 6th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
the seller of the third auction also has another bag (TPG Mamma Mia)
that also has a stolen photo from a Japan website.

June 6th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Eeep, a $1500 BIN for a toki campeggio….madness!
Fun to watch though!
June 6th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
Yeah, after the $1800 someone spent on the last one, I guess everyone’s on board to make a killing with them.
And/or scam the bejesus out of someone.
June 6th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
I am sooooo tempted to sell my Playground Campeggio now, maybe depending on how these auctions end up.
June 6th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
that $1800 bag didn’t sell for that much at all fyi. it sold for less than $1000.
June 6th, 2008 at 11:12 pm
? This isn’t the one you mean, I assume, resin: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&ssPageN ame=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&item=280229539006&rd=1
The temptation for greed is a lot, I’m glad I have nothing to tempt me into selling (my stuff’s so used, no one would want them anyway!)
They MUST be re-releasing playground anyway, though, seriously — they’d be insane not to.
June 6th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
The seller for the third listing is the same seller that sells replica tokidoki bags on ioffer.com. Just to give you guys a heads up!
June 6th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
Yep, Dar is right. But lately she hasn’t been able to get suppliers for her Tokidoki anymore, so I don’t know where that came from.
She claims to sell “authentic” ones, and “flowerspring” ones.
I tried buying an “authentic” one from her on iOffer, but she says she had trouble shipping it out to Edmonton (from Quebec), it keeps RTS back to her. And her first excuse was there was a snow storm so she couldn’t get out to mail it, then it was the RTS. I got a refund though.
June 7th, 2008 at 12:15 am
resin-so the seller from that auction is paying fees on the final value but accepted less…I don’t get it?
June 7th, 2008 at 12:17 am
hmmmmm the seller from the third listing ended it early…wonder why
June 7th, 2008 at 1:46 am
wow, it’s a good thing i’m reading up on these things here. i was thinking of purchasing a tan pg denaro from that scammer for $140 on ioffer.com. i knew it was too good to be true especially ’cause even small tan pg items are going for nearly $200 and the fact that she’s even carrying tan pg items… i was wondering why she wasn’t making a fortune with them if they were authentic.
guess that answers my question.
as for the $1800 bag… that seller still hasn’t received feedback after nearly 2 weeks of the auction ending. either the buyer realized she needed time to pay off the bag or it turned out to be a complete scam.
it would also be nice if sellers didn’t set their reserve prices to be so high. i mean, that first tan pg campeggio went over $800 and STILL the reserve wasn’t met. are they trying to break-even or wring as much profit out of these bags as possible?
June 7th, 2008 at 2:38 am
Hi
I am new to tokidoki and bought some bags from a dropshipper in the US.
Now, I posted listings for some bags on Ebay using photos she authorized me to use and I was then notified by another member that hose pics were off of other sites. So I then took photos of the bags I currently have and relisted the ones I was trying to sell in my store,( to no avail since alot of my clients never heard of Tokidoki), but then I received HOSTILE and THREATENING messages from the same member.
I have messaged the person back to inform them that I am a Toki-Virgin and I even requested aid on how to determined the real and fake bags. He/She has yet to respond back. As for Ebay, they are supposed to contact me soon.
I have studied as much info on Tokidoki as possible. The bags have all requirements.
The qee has the black mark, pink heart and red star,
The carabiner cord is black and white.
Zipper says ririM6
Pockets end at the bottom of the bag.
There is no Flower Spring.
What else am I to look for?
I am shipping the bags back to the supplier who I usually buy my Harajuku bags from.
Can someone please school me somemore?
Also where can I buy the bags in bulk or wholesale>
I have both a company and corporation and would really like to be able to sel REAL AUTHENTIC TOKIDOKI.
They are works of art.
Thanks in advance
June 7th, 2008 at 2:43 am
totallee1- you should contact the actual tokidoki site if you want to sell their products!!
June 7th, 2008 at 3:31 am
Wow…so much. ANd to think I could have got the original spring ‘06 waist bag for a little over $100! It probably didn’t so so well because it was a Cangurino… that’s why I didn’t get it, I have one in another print.
June 7th, 2008 at 4:27 am
WOW $1500….. ARE YOU SERIOUS? lol HAHAHA thats crazee. Well happy shopping ! I’m excited to go to the signing tmrw ^^
June 7th, 2008 at 6:52 am
Yes , the seller of the third aution stoled the photo of
Lea Lea Shop that sales Hawaian goods.
http://www.togari.co.jp/lealea/
I have bought my Camo Playground Olive and others items in this
website and have a Good Service!
I think that they are not selling on Ebay Aution.
there are in stock any playground bag like this.
http://www.togari.co.jp/lealea/brand/lesportsac/tokidoki-P/9 516/
Andiamo bag, and the price is about US$400.00 (39,800 yen)
Bella
Bambino
Scuola
Showing the exact picture of the item they are selling.
The seller can speak English, if anybody are interesting in the
playground bags that are in stock, contact by e-mail.
The web is in Japanese only. (^^)
June 7th, 2008 at 10:07 am
That is RIDICULOUS!!!! 819$ and the reserve is not met??? Are they out of their minds??? I’m sorry but it’s USED and inperfect - come on!
That’s the only print I don’t have and also my favorite print of all - but I’d rather not have it at that price. I’ll just get another tattoo of my favorite section of the print
way cheaper and lasts a lifetime!
June 7th, 2008 at 10:23 am
that was my tan pg and no i am not out of my mind and i did end up selling it. to the 2nd runner up.
June 7th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
totallee1 - If you want to sell authentic tokidoki products, why would you buy them from anyone except for the tokidoki company? Your whole story makes no sense at all & isn’t the slightest bit believable. We’ve all heard it quite a few times before from fake sellers who got called out.
June 7th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
OIC Resin - so you still were able to get $1,812.98 instead of $1,837.98 - wow…good for you. Personally I wouldn’t pay THAT much for it but hey to each his/her own.
June 7th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
IhateTDfakes - You are confusing resin with someone else. Her bag sold last night on eBay for $803.99, which has been around the going rate for large Playground bags all week long if you check the completed listings. The price might be high but it’s what someone freely chose to pay.
June 7th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
sometimes when things get so out-of-control pricey, i think of what 800 dollars can actually buy… it’s true that i don’t donate a ton to charity (except my church which then moves the dollar on to other charities), but 800 dollars can pay for like tons of vaccinations in third world countries..or lots of food…i don’t know. i’m not sure i could ever really spend that much on a handbag. but then again, i am just a huge bleeding heart liberal so maybe that’s my problem!
June 7th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
annie - my thoughts exactly. if i had $800 lying around, a good chunk of that would go to my tuition and the rest, to one of the charities i support. it would’ve also helped pay for my dog’s operation. but to each their own. i envy those who have money lying around like that to spend as they please.
the weird thing is though that the tan pg campeggio that ended at $1800 didn’t have a reserve price (or maybe it did, and it slipped my mind). it looked like the bidder randomly punched in a bunch of numbers. it would make much more sense if, as resin said, the bag eventually sold to a second bidder for less than $1000, which is still quite the sum but it’s not $1800.
June 7th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
totallee1 - i don’t think i’ve ever heard of fake tokidoki bags with the RIRI stamp under the zipper head. i’m fairly certain that detail is exclusive to authentic bags.
if you took the time to post photos of each of your bags and included a photo of the RIRI stamp for each bag, i’m sure people will stop hassling you about whether or not your bags were fake. it’s especially important to tokidoki buyers to see detailed photos of the exact bag they’ll get since each one has unique print placement.
June 7th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
totallee1 - I’ve seen your items on ioffer.com and you seem to know the difference between the replica and authentic in your description and in prices but now I see that your items are no longer available and no one can see what you’ve stated on the differences and price.
June 7th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
totallee1 - I’m not picking on you or anything but some people may not know a whole lot and get ripped off, and that’s unfair. This site helps keep buyers aware of what’s out there.
June 7th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
Thanks for clearing that up Stephanie - yep I was confused…and your right people are freely choosing to pay that much and believe me….if I had one I would sell it in a heart beat cause these gas prices in Hawaii are KILLING me.
June 7th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
fyi– the $1800 tpg campeggio actually sold for $800. “someone” messeged the seller offering to buy it if it fell through.
so $800 does seem like the benchmark for these bags at the moment.
i think resin did alright if she gets $800 for hers.
June 7th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
Hello — I am not a member here, but I purchased a LeSportsac bag yesterday that appears to have the “tokidoki” original print, but no name brand for it anywhere on the bag. It has the LeSportsac-printed strap, ribbon stripes and rainbow zippers, etc., and pink lining printed with “LeSportsac Limited Edition”. The zipper pulls are flat metal penny-sized with what appear to be flower characters. Does anyone know a way to tell if this is real? Thanks in advance. I am an eBay seller with high feedback (check for seller marig) and I don’t want to list an item that is not authentic. HELP!!!! - Marilyn (marig)
June 8th, 2008 at 12:14 am
marilyn-
ffs go to the “how to tell” part of the blog! my lord!
June 8th, 2008 at 12:30 am
OK, never mind! After checking your posts, I see I do have a FAKE on my hands. If I list it, it will be listed as a FAKE. –Marilyn (marig)
June 8th, 2008 at 1:39 am
Hmmmmmm Marilyn…don’t know if you’d want to jeopardize your good feedback to unload a fake…doesn’t seem worth it to me.
My advice…return it to where you bought it from for a refund or risk being a member of the “fake tokidoki seller list.”
June 8th, 2008 at 11:27 am
GOSH I JUST PEOPLE SHOULD STOP SELLING FAKE TOKIDOKI FOR LESPORTSAC! WE SHOULD BURN ALL FAKE BAGS! :[
June 8th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
hey you’re katie too!
June 8th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
I love tokidoki but I rather get a gucci or louis vuitton (there’s barely any leather on the bags) with that kind of cash…SO *&^% glad I got ALL my tokidoki’s before the prices went CRAZY. BUT as many have said to each their own. if you can afford it I guess you can do whatever you want with your money…personally I like to have dinner everyday ;D
June 8th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
oh yeah few weeks ago a PLAYGROUND buon viaggio, starting price was I think $40, went for $800. I’d stay away from auctions that have super rare prints starting in the $150 range; when I ask seller for pictures of the riri, they admit that it’s not real. If it’s crazy price ($300+) it’s probably the real thing. EVERYONE PLEASE BE CAREFUL SHOPPING, BE SURE IT’S THE REAL DEAL.
June 8th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
i think you’ve been smoking to much of that “happy smoke”
June 8th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
ambersdad - Was there some justification for that comment that I am missing?
June 8th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
SORRY Stephanie, I was just trying to be funny. But I do disagree in the sense that some sellers DO start off their auctions with low opening bids
to attract attention to their auctions. I feel that the guidlines on how to spot fakes that you have put together plus common sense should be used in buying toki’s. I have seen fakes start off with high opening bids in the past. Just couldn’t resist being funny since her sceen name was “happy smoke”.
June 8th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
It’s cool, and that makes more sense.
I do have to agree with you that starting bid price alone is not an indicator of fakeness. Personally I almost always start my auctions at 99 cents even if the item I am selling is worth hundreds. That seller with all of the fake Playground auctions does seem to keep starting her bid prices at $150, but that doesn’t necessarily reflect on anyone else.
June 9th, 2008 at 5:15 am
Is the Lea Lea shop authentic? How do they still have Tan PG pieces in stock?
Just curious…
June 9th, 2008 at 7:48 am
TDrite, I think that Lea Lea sells authentic items, I had bought
my Playground olive dolce, and any LeSportsac Hawaiian print, and
all were real.
They still have stock of PG pieces and are the last items they have now.
but I think that is too expensive, and are not many Tokidoki’s fans in Japan.
LeSportsac is so so famous in Japan, that is what Tokidoki turn famous
here, but not a lot.
and when Simone colaborated for Hello Kitty, most of the people
in the joint signing event, were Hello Kitty’s fans, and any
fans of Tokidoki.
I think that is Why, nobody is still interest in the PG of LeaLea….
although I am a fan of Tokidoki, but I can’t pay such price for one.
June 9th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Jeeeez, I have a tan playground ciao ciao. I haven’t used it in months. I love the bag, but for $500+ maybe I’ll have to look into selling it… I haven’t seen any ciao ciao’s in the completed items list though, I wonder what it’d go for.
June 9th, 2008 at 10:43 pm
Dana - I saw a Tan PG ciao ciao go for over $400 about a week or more ago? I remember it was a buy it now price but I don’t remember whether or not it sold though I’ve a hunch it did eventually.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
anyone remember the mystery auctions where the winner would pick something tokidoki? totallee1 is full of sh-t. :
fairly straight forward, i was never told what the winning number was Buyer: slambert2000 ( 82) Dec-11-07 18:30
Reply by totallee1 (Dec-13-07 06:53):
the buyer who picked #11 received the gift. thanks for playing.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
^^my point was that those were for tokidoki items, but the rest of my comment was cut off. and therefore, further proves totallee is a liar.
June 11th, 2008 at 12:15 am
I just really think this has all gone too far
For all of you who have bags with those prints who are thinking about selling them, DON’T!!
You should feel lucky to have one. Cherish it and be thankful that you’re a good person not trying to gouge people out of hard earned money! Even trying to get 400$ for a bag that is used and realistically worth half of what you paid for it is greedy and cruel!
Alright- I’m done with this subject cause it’s just really upsetting to me that people so greedy and selfish
June 11th, 2008 at 1:09 am
Sue - I totally agree with you that the prices are outrageous but I don’t think it’s totally fair to call the sellers greedy & selfish. I work 2 jobs and my husband works two jobs and we are barely scrapping by…I can tell you with all honesty that if I had one…I would SACRIFICE it right about now because the economy sucks….it’s like you basically need to take out a loan to fill your gas tank now a days…prices for food continue to rise daily while our paychecks just CRAWL higher every once in a while.
While there are probably a handfull of sellers who are setting their reserves through the roof it’s pretty much the bidders that are setting the “going” price for that particular print.
June 11th, 2008 at 10:08 am
IhateTDfakes: I know I said I was done but I read this - and you are right. I am unemployed and my husband is supporting both of us because employment insurance in Canada is delayed for so long I haven’t received any $$ since April.
I have been selling EVERYTHING I own - all my jewellery, designer handbags, collectors items etc. THe one thing I will NOT sacrifice is Tokidoki
In fact I sold a ring I love just to be able to buy ONE tokidoki/hello kitty item!
But I guess perhaps there are people out there who just bought the bag cause it was cute and have no attachement to it.
I still would never have the concience to sell a used bag for huge $$$$ unless it was Louis Vuitton ! Maybe I’m bitter cause I really want a playground print lol!
June 11th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I really want anything in the L’Amore print…especially a Zucca, or a Gioco. I can afford it if it’s the original retail, but with prices through the effing roof, doesn’t look like I’ll be getting one on eBay. It’s always set soooo high, and even if you make a reasonable offer, it gets turned down. They do ask for so much.
June 12th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
“Even trying to get 400$ for a bag that is used and realistically worth half of what you paid for it is greedy and cruel!”
But no one makes buyers pay what they do for the Playground print. The sellers are doing nothing wrong, as you imply, by simply selling their bags. I don’t understand your anger towards them.
The only anger I harbor is towards the one seller who was trying to scam people (totallee)
June 12th, 2008 at 10:37 pm
Alli - did you not read my last post?
June 16th, 2008 at 12:01 am
I don’t know why, sellers of Ebay sell too expensive Tokidoki in
Playground Print.
I want a caramellina playground like is in the Ebay now,
but never pay US$170 for a small cosmetic bag!!…really it is
rare, but it is an ‘exaggeration.
In Yahoo Aution Japan I often see playground NWT, and USED,
and all end in a reasonable price.
here is a Mamma Mia Playground
http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f63524030
I think that is is real, but USED no qee include, the price now is
20,000 yen (US$185.00), maybe it will not exceed to US$300.
or
this Camo Playground print in Cangurino(NWT)
, this aution enden without bid many times,
so that the seller reatived again.
the first price is 10,000 yen (US$92.32), don’t vary.
I think that the problem for this aution is the title, because Tokidoki is
not in Japanese letter (katakana).
Maybe I am wrong for criticize the price….
but is crazy to pay more than US$1000 for a Tokidoki bag…..
June 16th, 2008 at 12:02 am
Excuse me, I forget to link
