Tobi just updated with a few items from the summer tokidoki nautical collection, plus a good selection of watches (including styles that may have sold out before some of us could get their hands on them!).
The Sanrio online store has a big selection of tokidoki for Hello Kitty items up now, including some that I haven’t seen elsewhere yet outside of ebay. Thanks to Linda for the tip.
Lashonne let me know about two new tokidoki beach towels that she found on Yoox: one style for women and one for men. The photos don’t show much of the designs, but here are the little tidbits that they do show:
Alyson just pointed out in the comments that there is a list of where the tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger sneakers will be sold available now. Click the white tiger in the upper right of the page for the list.
Erina let me know that Metropark put some tokidoki and tokidoki for Hello Kitty t-shirts on sale.
Karmaloop also has some tokidoki spring and older season clothing on sale if you scroll to the bottom of the page, and yup you can still get an extra 20% off with rep code SR426.

The list on the Onitsuka Tiger site isn’t 100% accurate. I called all the stores in my state and none of them had the shoes and said they’d had problems getting reliable deliveries from OT.

I really do love tokidoki but this stuff is getting a tad outrageous. I don’t know if its greed or simple supply and demand but either way, its too rich for my blood. I’ll have to admire this stuff from afar, there’s no way I’m going to shell out that kind of cash for a piece of terrycloth designed to do nothing but sit between my butt and the sand at the beach!

Although this isn’t toki’s fault, I was just about to order that little cellphone charm (it’s like $48!) and then realized that when I got to the check out that they want $10 for shipping.
$10 for shipping for that little, itty bitty thing!!! So annoying…I can’t justify paying $58 for a cellphone charm

things ARE getting a smidge out of hand. tokidoki lovers tend to be late teen/early 20’s folks that pay for all this stuff themselves. they need to cater more to their demographic or they will continue to lose buyers. the younger folks tend to just buy sanrio, and the older folks that like interesting bags/stuff will go to the higher-end designers.
c’mon tokidoki!
however, i will continue to buy. (just got my stuff from japanla, the hello kitty wallet and camera case. i drooled over them as they are absolutely perfect in every way).

I agree, everything is getting so overpriced..the new bags are up quite a bit from the old series. There are going to be 2 releases for 2 years of OT shoes..where do you draw the line. The shirts are shrinking in size & I have to order a men’s XL (of which you can’t ever find)..I love my toki, but I feel like I can’t afford anything anymore..I’m tempted to sell my PG bag, like the ones on ebay, but I know I’d never be able to get one back….I wish Toki had a wedding registry, I’d convince my Fiance to register for it all..(I do think he got me the shoes like I asked though
)

Hm, JapanLA charged $5 extra for each plush ($60 instead of $55 and $40 instead of $35). But they charged the same $45 for the HK necklace as the Sanrio store and shop.tokidoki.it
Doesn’t make sense.

I’m thinking the items are slightly cheaper on sanrio.com since it is affiliated with Sanrio International(?). The necklace was produced in the States so it would make sense that it’s the same price. Plus, I think when Jamie from JapanLA pre-ordered the items, the dollar must’ve been crap in comparison to the yen. It still is. The dollar is soooo weak.
I’m going to Japan next week, and I’m hoping it’s going to jump up a couple of yen, lol.

THeir shipping charges are INSANE:

i can’t believe how expensive some of those tokidoki for hello kitty items are! $30 for a sanrio pen seems really steep to me, and i was in to sanrio for years! i guess that they have to make up costs to cover the licensing agreements or something. everything else seemed like normal sanrio prices plus about 25%, but i just couldn’t believe the ink pens!

exciting for you, Em!!! I am really happy about Sanrio now carrying the tokidoki line. I would rather buy from Sanrio direct than any other company.
And yes, they should make a wedding registry! I’m getting married in May and would love to register for nothing buy Tokidoki bags! Can you imagine the guests reaction when they saw it? They would be confused.

@ Sue - The best thing to do if you’re in Canada is order the Toki x HK stuff off ebay, really.
The shipping was something like $18, & there were no brokerage fees.

Does anyone happen to know whether the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty watches feature Japan movement and are made in Japan? Or, are they made in China (or maybe they’re just assembled there?)?

Prices are steep but items are also limited :^). Oh yea I will have to agree on the shipping though. I sell on ebay and ship to Canada and it’s not that expensive so I don’t know why online shops charge so much. Plus my favorite thing are the flat rate boxes by USPS.

Those towels aren’t even that cute to be anyone’s $120. There’d better be big discounts if tokidoki wants to continue to sell. The way they price things is…elitist.

the thing is I think they are eventually going to outprice their main market which is young women (16-25). Asking Coach prices for plastic and vinyl bags? I dunno… The other thing that really gets me is not having REAL plus sized clothing! How many toki fans are wearing ill-fitting mens t shirts because the teeny-tiny girls clothes don’t fit? I don’t understand why TD is saying no to selling clothes to a HUGE market who are practicaly begging to spend their money? Why don’t they contract with Torrid like other formerly non-plus making companies have? Sanrio does, as does apple bottoms, baby phat, among many others - and they’re probably making a killing!

I’ve got a 12 year old kid who wears medium in tokidoki shirts and she is not at all plus size. I’m a size 4 that has to wear XL womens. In sweaters,shocking I’m a medium. Tokidoki dresses, I’m size small…what gives?

I ordered the first tokidoki shoes by fornarina sz 6.5
I bought two pairs of onitsuka (men + sz 5.5
shoes women) sz 7
I must admit they are much more comfier than the fornarina. Fornarina didn’t have size 7,7.5 was to big & the 6.5 was fine.( i usually wear 6.5-7, depending on shoe maker) Hope this helps. All three shoe sizes although different fit the same. The only difference onitsuka seems to have more cushioning. Hopes this helps.

I got my Onitsuka Tiger shoes in the mail today, too!!! I ordered mine from shop.tokidoki.it. They’re are really cushiony and comfortable!!! I didn’t get a tiger keychain with my shoes, and I’m highly upset about it!!! I really hoped I would get one!!! My shoe-box isn’t in pristine condition either, and I’m a little upset about that, too, because I wanted to display the picture on the top!!!

i’ve always thought the clothing was pretty true to size. i’m normally a euro size 4 and most tokidoki s-sizes fit me just perfectly. the only exception to this is my hk red-striped twisty top which is a medium but fits like a size small.
but the yellow-sunglasses twisty top in the medium size from the previous season is a little big on me as is the black polka dot on white dress. i hope they don’t start down-sizing their clothes from now on (i haven’t yet tried the nautica line). ~_~ i like consistency.

I know when this was first posted on June 9th, the green cosmetic bags weren’t up for sale. But I know somewhere in the comments above, someone said they sold out of the green watch and I notice it’s not even listed anymore. Do you think the Sanrio site never had the green cosmetic bags or they sold out that fast before you had a chance to post about it?

Hey - I got my Tokidoki for Hello kitty plush (small with chilli friend) within 48 hours of it being shipped! SANRIO rules for shipping but it was EXPENSIVE… 46$ for FEDEX ground to Canada… they want 29$ for USPS first class (which has no insurance and tends to get lost often).
It was worth the $$$ though - Also - the shopkeeper emailed me fairly regularly to notify me the status of my order and shipping since their system updates very slowly. Great service but crazy shipping prices. I think prices within US are fairly reasonable though.

I got my pink hitops from eilatan.com, and they arrived just a few days later. I just ordered the orange and blue low cut shoes and can’t wait for them to get here.
I noticed they already sold out of a few sizes of that one, but thankfully not my size!
