It’s that time of year again – my summertime Infrequent Posting Alert. As you may have already noticed, I am going to be slower than usual with posting and responding to e-mails and comments for the month of July, so please don’t think I am ignoring you if my responses take forever until next month.
Onto some catching up…
- The Giant Peach has the Mozzarella and Sandy plush dolls in stock now. They added the tokidoki Miao vinyl toy as well. Lynn also let me know that there are a bunch of the tokidoki plush on eBay.
- The tokidoki for Ride collaboration items are starting to pop up in stores – Jessica found them on IskiShop.
- Jessica also sent me a bunch of photos (below) of toys that will be released at SDCC this month – tokidoki for Onitsuka tiger vinyl toys, a platinum Bulleto, platinum cactus friends, and platinum pups! Joslyn let me know about these items too, and Bridget contributed additional photos of the tokidoki tokyoplast

I would like to know where you are getting the info for SDCC. I have a Thursday and Sunday ticket and I can’t find any info on when Simone will be signing autographs. The only info I found was the booth # 4731, 4733 & 4735. I really would like to know as much as I can before I go. Anything would be great! There are so many things that I am going to see but the big thing is Tokidoki and my 2 boys really want to meet the man! Thank you!

? I mean, it only had Platinum Sandy and the Be@rbrick poster that came with Bearbrick purchase. I can’t remember if there were any more off the top of my head but I really don’t think so.

I am awaiting my new toys….Skeletrino, Skeletrina and Be@rbrick! I’m hoping to get Simone’s signature (at SDCC) on those for my personal collection!!! Someone PLEASE give me more info on SDCC! I can’t find anything on the official SDCC website as to when Simone is signing. I know that this blog mentioned Sunday July 27th from 11 am – 2 pm but the website doesn’t confirm that….HELP PLEASE!
I looked as well and can’t find anything on the SCCC website….I only have a pass for Sunday so I am praying it stays that way……I also checked the tokidoki.it website and no mentioned either…hhhhmmmmm.

All I’m saying is…how can she post an “Infrequent Posting Alert Until August” than a few days later post a Contest without bothering to see if anyone had any questions? I think that if you are going to run a blog that people turn to for information than do it 100%! I agree that she probably has a life outside the blog…but if a CEO takes vacation…does the whole company cease to run? I just feel that it wasn’t very wise to not give complete info on a big deal such as SDCC. Most of the info on this blog is great and she has done a good job giving all us that info….but you wouldn’t like it if you were trying to find something out and you got IGNORED!! So maybe instead of sticking up for someone you’ve probably never met in person…you should think about what would happen if you didn’t get an answer you were hoping for and see how you feel!

I could see you being upset or thinking that “someone you’ve probably never met in person” was IGNORING you had she not posted what she posted (see above) but that was not the case.
And BTW…I wouldn’t get upset if I didn’t get an answer I was hoping for… I’d google it.
And just for the record… “INFREQUENT POSTING” doesn’t mean that she wasn’t going to be posting AT ALL.

I had an AWESOME vacation and unfortunately Elle’s comments were some of the first ones that caught my eye as I was skimming through my flooded inbox. What’s gotten into some people into the tokidoki community lately, right?! It’s been a rough couple of months.
Anyway, I am going to start trying to do some catching up – Krisha, I think I have some reference photos from you (and others) that I still need to get to, but I promise I didn’t forget!

I went to SDCC 08 and all 500 of the TD Geisha toy was sold at SDCC this year. The 1st 2 or 3 days (including preview night), they kept saying it was sold out but in reality, they didn’t receive them until Friday (or Sat). They received mostly everything (something about not wanting to deal with the crowds back in New York). So if you were lucky enough to be at SDCC this year, it would of been the only way to get the Geisha doll (and the long lines). g_g
The tokidoki tokyoplastic geisha that was introduced at SDCC 08 is available on http://www.tokidoki.it now for $40. Just picked one up! I was one of those that went to SDCC 08 and missed out.
