Janelle also added: “According to my print-outs, San Francisco has the largest stock of all the stores, ranging from 10-60 bags of each style on hand. Las Vegas has 1-30 bags of each style on hand. The rest of the stores have 1-15 bags of each style on hand.
Metropark at Irvine Spectrum also has the Abbraccio and Carezza styles on-hand in store now, and they’re expecting a few other styles this week.”
AND she took photos of the bags at South Coast Plaza when she was there a week ago!

Does this mean that all the Macy’s will have the bags?
WOW… i wish i was there….
Are those the only states carrying them at Macy’s?
Anyone know anything about TX?
jenn – if you read a previous entry about the problems people have had calling Macy’s – I believe it was when the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty clothing line was released…unless you get lucky and speak to a sales person that knows tokidoki…you’d be better off taking a trip to your nearest Macy’s yourself…it’ll probably save you alot of frustration.
jenn – I’m thinking it must! The west coast always gets their stock before the east coast so hopefully the bags will filter over this way soon too.
Not EVERY Macy’s will carry the new line of bags, only some in larger shopping complexs seem to carry them. There are two Macy’s stores within ten minutes of where I live and neither carry the new bags. The best thing to do is call your local Macy’s with the SKU#’s of the item(s) you’re looking for and get them to disclose numbers and locations of the closest stores that carry the new bags if they’re unavailable at that location.
According to another member over at the Tokidoki FreeForum, the stock over at San Francisco has diminished considerably since Saturday (from 4 large racks of tokidoki down to 2 she put it!).
Hopefully this information will help everyone to find a Macy’s near them that’ll carry the bags so that you all can find your dream styles and placement in person!!! Good luck!!!
I’m happy.. but thing is, i’m broke right now.
It’s pretty horrible.
.. but I’m still hoping it’ll arrive at east coast soon
OMG, i almost bought it on KL, but thank GOD i waited to check Macy’s….my friend and I checked prints for about 30 minutes!! AND i used a $25 off. Wahoooo!!
I called my macys in WA state and he said the closest store that had them was in CA and that only CA and NV have them right now. Said it wasn’t something my state would carry, but at least he was helpful. Does anyone have any experience with ordering from the tokidoki it site? Do they try to accomodate print prefrences at all?
lol they still have the tokidoki for LeSportsac sign.
PATTIE: I laughed at that, too, when I saw it in person!!!
KRITZ: I haven’t personally ordered a bag from the tokidoki.it site (plenty of other things, though!!!), but I’ve heard that they try to help with print placement to some degree. I would just send them an email about it – it might take a few days to get a response because they’ve been so busy lately with all of the events and releases, but they’ve always been very helpful in their responses to me. Good luck!!!
OMGosh! thanks so much for this post! I live 20 minutes away from Victoria Gardens and 30 minutes away from South Coast Plaza. I hope they still have them at the end of the week when I go there. I actually went to South Coast Plaza this weekend, but I didn’t see ANY tokidoki bags there. But then again, I only checked Nordstrom’s and Bloomingdales. I’m so excited!
wowowowowowowo yay Macy’s! too bad Hawaii’s Macy’s doesn’t carry them, but we still have online shops to order from =)
Wow…I am going to have to call the Macy’s near me – I’d love to see all of the shapes in person, but who knows when they’ll arrive in NJ!
Thank you for this! I’ve been running around asking people at the more popular Macy’s stores in Sac, I didn’t even think to go to the K St Mall! I think I’ll make a trip there tomorrow!
Pattie: According to EOS New York, who works closely with Tokidoki, the bags are still being made by Le Sportsac but not being advertised and identified on the bag as such.
does anyone know where i can see the inside print of the carbone? i would assume they would be different than the mezzanotte. thanks for sharing the info!
oh yeah…i’ve been a loyal reader of the blog but its the first time im commenting. thank you for always being so up to date with the latest tokidoki info! i love it =)
i wish i had the bacio bag it is so i am very jealous just to try to still it
I’ve been wondering the same myself about the Carbone bags, IRIS. I hope that someone has more information!!!
So I’ve been reading about what’s been going on with the New Tokidoki bags…I’m not sure it’s true, but I saw on wikipedia of all places what each bag will look like…Here is what is said:
The tokidoki for LeSportsac line of handbags has been highly sought after, with rare prints and bags reaching bids up to three or four times the retail price on eBay, leading to the production of many illegal counterfeit copies. The most popular prints were re-released starting late 2007, beginning with Foresta on November 13th in Hawaii; it will include the Adios keychain, rather than the white tokidoki bear qee.
The Summer of 2008 will mark a special occasion for tokidoki fans when a new line of bags will be released. The bags will be manufactured by LeSportsac but will not bear the LeSportsac logo; instead, they will be branded only as “tokidoki.” This time around, Simone was given complete creative control over the bags and decided that the LeSportsac logo would no longer appear on the bags because he felt it broke up the print too much. This resulted in a cleaner aesthetic for the bags. The first print was released in August 2008 and is called “Carnival” with a carnival/circus theme. The second print will be released September and is called “Eco Mondo” with an environmental/save the planet theme and the last print will be released in October and is called “Concerto Punk” which shows various tokidoki characters at a punk rock concert. There will also be a black print (Mezzanotte) and a charcoal print (Carbone) with characters (nana star, fantasmino, adios star) appearing on the inside lining of the bags. The bags will be accompanied by a newly designed Adios keychain. There will be a total of 8 bag styles with some styles somewhat resembling the “Tokidoki for LeSportsac” bags. These new bags will be pricier than what tokidoki fans have been used to paying.

o Surprise Teaser – In November 2008, tokidoki will release a new print with a New Year’s Eve celebration theme. The background color of the bags will be a combination of dark blue and lovely sky blue with sections of white. The print will feature all the beloved tokidoki characters ringing in the new year by toasting champagne and dancing (you can catch Bulleto dancing up a storm and Mozzarella having champagne with a banana haired cave-monkey). Brand new characters will also make their debut on the print such as baby new year, a John Travolta-like dancer with a disco ball head, an Adios-like dancer wearing a magician’s hat (where the hat is the magician), two mice dancing with one another, a cute baby blue chick popping out of a skull and a guy sporting a pair of “2009″ glasses. The print is bright, colorful and fun: tokidoki fans definitely have something wonderful to look forward to.
Can anyone confirm if this is true?! THANKS!
it sounds right, there is a picture of a small portion of the new years print floating around on various tokidoki forums/communitites. i thought there was also one here too, could be wrong.(i’ve seen it on a few sites) if i find the pic i’ll post it.
I posted the same NYE info that is above and a link to the picture of it in the post immediately before this one.
And yes, Bananarama, the rest is also true. I’ve been reporting that same info here for some time now.
see what she said….8)
ah!!! LOL, whoops sorry! I got sooooo excited! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! It’s greatly appreciated!
If you live in the metro Detroit area and are looking to get a Carezza style bag I just got mine today at a store in Twelve Oaks mall. The store is called Metropark. The Carezza was the only style they had there and it was $189. But it was well worth it. It’s SO CUTE!!!! =) I could not be more excited!
i didn’t see the bags at valley fair macy’s. i might go to san francisco this weekend so i hope i can find them there:)
Definitely NOT all Macy’s carry them. To my knowledge, only 1 Macy’s in the Chicago & Suburban area ever carried them and they haven’t had any since Spiaggia.
And might I add, those pictures make me feel like I’ve died & gone to Carnival Heaven. I LOVE this print!
QueenLouis- I’m from Chicago; which stores did you check out? I haven’t seen any new bags yet, but then again, I haven’t been to a Macy’s in a while. The only stores in Chicago that I’ve seen carry tokidoki bags are Filene’s Basement on State St., Filene’s Basement in Orland Park, Macy’s on State St, Bloomingdales on N Michigan Ave, and I believe Lord & Taylor on N Michigan had some a few summers ago, but I think they closed down. Hope this helps!
btw, i was just at jugrnaut in chicago on dearborn near van buren and they have a couple carnival bags. they had a graziosa & a carezza.
Ok, this may sound like a dumb questions but are the SKU’s good for just the carnival print or all prints when they come out? Thanks!
I visited my local Macy’s last night, and Jane, the nice saleslady told me the following:
Since Macy’s East and Macy’s West are owned by two different companies, Macy’s East still does not know if it will be receiving Tokidoki bags. Also, Macy’s East had a ton of problems with the last few shipments of the LeSportSac branded bags, as people with sticky fingers were swiping the Qee’s.
My conclusion: I doubt I’ll be seeing the Tokidoki bags in the local Macy’s anytime soon. And to repeat what Stephanie said re: the NYE print, David at EOS NY confirmed it, and I believe he will take pre-orders.
I just bought my bag today at metropark in the mall of america in Minnesota, and I LOVE it so much! They only had two bags and they where the carezza size. And when I went back today, the other one was gone! Good luck finding one in MN.
I just bought the messenger style carnival print bag at Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco today. They had a ton of bags in different styles. The sales girl was very nice and helpful and ran to the back when I asked her for specific print placement (popcorn bucket and hawaiian girl). I also had a coupon for 20% off total purchases as well. They said they got the shipment about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the bags are much higher priced than Le Sportsac.
i finally saw the purse in person at a metropark in vegas. i have to admit that i don’t like the carnival bags. the olive green straps kinda kills it for me =/ hopefully the next three prints will be more my taste..
Macy’s is now selling the Carnival print bags in several styles online.

Oops, sorry, that link is no good. Just search “tokidoki” at macys.com and you should get the right results.
Thanks for the info Maybelline!
I just hung up the phone with my local Macy’s here in NJ(in Paramus Park, the GSPlaza didn’t know what I was talking about) and the woman in PP told me their rep was there today & they will have the new bags there within the next 2 weeks, yay! So I guess they are making there way to the East Coast stores:)
does anyone know if these will be on sale in calgary, AB? i’ve got to get my hands on those!! so cute!!!
I just got my Carnival Carezza bag from the Macy’s at Victoria Gardens and I love it so much!! I also saw the Carezza at the Metropark there. Macy’s only had 2 Carezza’s left, but they had lots of Graziosa and Creativa left. They were so cute! I just wanted to buy them all!
I just got my new Carnival Amica bag in the mail today! It’s a pretty big bag but I live in NYC & carry a million things w/ me all the time, so it suits me better than itty bitty clutches. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that the inner zipper pull on my Amica bag is gold, round, & has the diamond tokidoki character on it (forgot the name =X), however, the inside of the zipper doesn’t have “riri” or “M6″ on it. The zipper pull to the large, main compartment does indeed have “riri” & “M6″ on it, and I know I have an authentic bag since I bought it online from http://www.tokidoki.it. My Amica also has the proper Adios qee, price tag, tokidoki tag, & “made in China” tag. Another thing to note is the elastic key strap inside the bag is just plain black & not black & white as with “tokidoki for LeSportsac” bags. I hope everyone enjoys the new line of tokidoki bags as much as I do! ^_^
Whoops! I just wanted to correct what I said about the elastic key strap, or whatever it’s called. I actually noticed that it’s black & dark gray & not fully black. I think the lighting in my room threw me off. ^_^;;
i would like to add to the list. Macy’s Plaza Bonita in San Diego, CA carries them now. i went today for the sale and i saw them. they dont have as much as the other Macys in the pictures provided but they have a pretty good amount and the rack is still completely full. they have both the black and the carnival print.
Just wanted to let you all know that Macys at Cherry Creek mall in Colorado got in their shipment of tokidoki 2 days ago and stock is very limited .
I got pictures of the tokidoki bags at the Burbank Media Center Mall. Here I thought that I was going to have to go Sherman Oaks to have a look at the Bacio while deciding if I wanted to buy it. I ended up look at it in person and if I had liked the Carnival print and the color orange, I would have walked out of the Macy’s with it. I also took a picture of the interior of the Mezzanote with my cell phone if anyone’s interested in seeing the interior print. They had all of the bags at least two of each the Mezzanote and Carnival prints.
I wonder what the interior color will be for the Eco Mundo Print.
Hey there Jan! I am so glad that you visited Macy’s Plaza Bonita, I was originally bummed b/c SD is always last to receive the latest bags. My Carnival Sorriso arrived by mail a few weeks ago, but I haven’t checked it out yet cause it’s my reward when I finish school (8/22/08). Anyhow, my mumz was @ Fashion Valley Mall (San Diego), & she said they also have the bags! Whoo-hoo! Check it out!!
Hi everyone! Just a general question. I just bought my first tokidoki bag (Carnival Carezza) last week from Macy’s, which I’m really excited about, although I have been checking this site religiously and following tokidoki for a while now.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if you girls always keep the Qee on the bag? The reason I am asking is because I was looking at mine and I’m a little afraid of it falling off? Has any of yours ever fallen off? Or maybe, I’m just being paranoid, but I don’t want to lose it.
Carolyn – i left my qee on the bag… it does not fall of easily.. except if you have pull the head off once.. then its easier each time you take it off..
other than that.. no it does not fall off easily…
Tofufar – Thanks!
