OMG, I totally missed today cuz im sooooooo sick….and since i’ve been out for a week, i doubt i can leave early to go….o well, another time! *sniffle*
I’ve just registered and I will be there- what an opportunity! Thank you, Tokidoki Blog, for posting this invitation and the info about AdobeMax. I went to Simone’s appearance at Macy’s Union Square yesterday, the first time I’ve ever seen him. He was so kind and gracious, he drew a special character for everyone. This session at AdobeMax will show another side of Simone, that of the artist businessman. It will be fascinating to hear about building the Tokidoki brand.
I wish I could go! Have fun and let me know how it goes!!
Have fun, Jenny! Take pictures for us.

Hey Steph,
Thank you so much for posting this awesome opportunity to hear Simone Legno speak at ADOBE MAX. What a treat!!!
I ran into Simone, his girlfriend, David Macy of ADOBE and one other friend of Simone in the hallway. ; ) Simone was just so nice & so friendly. His girlfriend helped took a few pictures of me & him. I have to say, they are just the nicest and most cool people I have ever met.
At the end of the day, I listened to him speak on how he got started, talked to him a little, took pictures with him and of him, had him autographed 5 items for me, met fellow Tokidoki fans including Jenny, and had a blast.
Oh, he even waved bye-bye at me as he was walking away. What a treat. Thanks Steph.
Yes, it was fabulous! I had a blast! I brought my dad who had absolutely no idea about Simone and Tokidoki, but he ended up having a great time… due in large part to Simone’s kind and gracious nature. Simone had endless patience, posed for scads of photos with everyone who wanted one, signed and drew characters for all, and stayed after his session until every last person had a chance for photos, signings, and a little conversation as well. His session was so interesting- he talked about his background, how he developed the tokidoki brand and how he uses technology. Then after the session, Dad and I hit the massive cocktail party and had wine, great food and made a bunch of new friends.
One of the most fun things for me was meeting some of the other tokidoki fans from this blog- Hi Elisabetta! Hi Ricegirl! And hi to all the other nice people I met today. I’m hoping that one of you will post some photos as I’m a bit technologically challenged.
Thank you Stephanie, for posting this event with complimentary registration. It was such a terrific day and will be a wonderful memory! I only wish you ALL could have been there.
I’m glad to hear you guys had such a wonderful time! I wish I could have been there! I live near Fresno, and have two little girls and wanted to go so bad… and the drive would just make it too long of a day for me because I would have to leave the girls with my husband and come alone
. Hopefully he comes back around and I can make plans to ditch the kiddos with grandma and make it a mini vacation. I would love to meet other addicts because no one here even knows what Tokidoki isl! They just think I’m crazy- they don’t believe there are more like me!
Aw, Elisabetta and Jenny I had so much fun reading your stories! I am glad you both had an awesome time, and you’re welcome! My thanks also goes to Adobe for sending me the info to share with you all.
thanks so much steph! i was able to attend as well and it was totally worth it! i was so bummed that i missed out on the macy’s event but i got a chance to take some pics and get autographs (: – also, for all you bag lovers out there, the next 3 prints will have a latte-colored beige lining and new adios qee.
oh, and for all you los angeles fans, tokidoki will open its first u.s. store in melrose early next year!
Thanks a
million to Stephanie for hooking us all up…he’s a great speaker and so adorable, I wish he’d make a plushie of himself. (-: I saw a bunch of people taking photos and I hope they’ll post them…he showed some previews of the new shirts/prints/toys, but sometimes clicked through so fast it was hard to see. Here’s a link to some photos I took @ the end, will post the presentation ones w/comments when I’m back later this week. Enjoy!!

tokibabe, a Tokidoki store in Melrose? That’s awesome. I can’t wait.
I asked him and the store in Melrose will be opening Feb/March 2009!
Thank you very much for the Adobe code! I literally saw the listing at 3:30 on Monday and I couldn’t believe that I could still register for it. So I got ready in 20 minutes and was out the door. Luckily I live in the city so it didn’t take that long to get to. It was interesting to see his early drafts and hear about how he got started. I can’t believe how many different product lines he has! Simone was very down to earth and humble which is very cool!
You’re welcome, everyone! I’m so glad that a bunch of you were able to attend.
Thanks for sharing the info about the tokidoki store opening!
