Reader Veronica has done a whole bunch of research on the new tokidoki for Hello Kitty II line, and has all of this news to share with us:
“I spoke to Sales Associate Adrian at the San Francisco Sanrio store and they are expecting the new tokidoki for Hello Kitty Line in January. She couldn’t tell me exactly when since they are coming from Japan and if you remember the first tokidoki For Hello Kitty Line ran later than expected (there was a problem with the supplier). I also called the New York Times Square Store but they are more tight lipped about it, only saying they are expecting the line but offered few details as to time frame, items expected, etc. San Francisco did start a list of both phone numbers as well as e-mail addresses – they plan to send out a mass e-mail and text message when the line arrives in their store.
There will be no waiting list this time since there were many complaints from the general public saying it wasn’t fair to all. There will be no holds on the day of the release. However, they will take credit cards over the phone but you MUST be there by the closing of the store that day to sign and pick up of your merchandise. I also called Hawaii and they knew nothing in regards to the new line. They said that they haven’t heard anything from the home office in regards to the tokidoki For Hello Kitty line. I don’t know who will carry it in the Los Angeles area since Momoberry closed during the first tokidoki For Hello Kitty line. I tried calling JapanLA but they could not tell me much information. She did mention that they may carry the line but could not say what since the buyer was not in.”

Sanrio Luxe NY has all items except jewelry, plush, cell straps and figurines in. Bags and accessories were air-shipped for Times Square Sanrio Luxe only in time for the holidays. All other items were slow-boated from Tokyo and should arrive to Sanrio Times Square by late January. SF Center Sanrio, Ala Moana Sanrio and Sanrio.com should have all items by late January as well. i went back in october 1st…. couldnt bare to leave adrian, others, and sanrio itself. haha! even went to home office party as adrian’s guest… just to check it out… it was reallllly fun in my opinion… this year’s casino royale theme was genius.
we’ll be waiting patiently for the items! but damn… no jewelery AND cell phone charms huh… that is a bummer…
Update!
Unfortunately the US Market will not be receiving any of the jewelry, cell phone straps or plush keychains, mostly due to import restrictions.
However, blankets, figurines and plush cushions will arrive in stores by late January.

I’m so happy! the bags at the nyc store were really cute unfortunately they are sold out of the Boston bag and they told me that the next shipment in is January. I’m happy that I actually own one boston bag finally after missing out on the last one

I was wondering…If the US isn’t getting any of the jewelry, plush keychains, and cellphone charms due to import regulations, does that mean that if we end up ordering these items on eBay from Japanese sellers we’ll have problems receiving our stuff? Hmm….
I went to the luxe store again and the girl that works there said they will be getting plush doll, blankets and pillow in January. pillow??? ummm that what she said. so I’m excited bout that. Update on the inventory at the luxe, only the black Boston bag is sold out
Vinyl Figurines will arrive on Friday!
The necklaces and cactus bracelet (1 of each) will be available at Sanrio Luxe on Tuesday, 12/23. Unfortunately, only 1 pc will be sold in the USA and Sanrio Luxe just happens to be the store receiving the pieces.
The necklaces are $250 each and the bracelet is $200.
Wow! the figurine is $160 each and it is pretty small and prtty expensive
i went to the Ala Moana Sanrio last night and they said they aren’t taking any numbers or contact info to let anyone know when they get the tokidoki stuff in. they said just to check back in mid January. =(
Why is the jewelry so pricey? Is it like real pearls or something?.
I’m heading to Sanrio in a few mins to see if they have anything left. I kinda want to pick up a small black bag let’s see if there’s still any left although I think I heard someone in the store say they might restock in January..could this be true?.
those figurine are made with Swarovski Crystals that’s y they are so expensive. But they are only 6 inches tall which is pretty small with a price tag of $160.00!!! I’m probably going to buy everything in that store if I keep going there LOL
I was able to pick up a black mini bag and pink pom pom case yesterday yay!. It’s been like 2 weeks since the Sanrio Luxe release and there’s still lots of stuff available, that’s weird =\ I also saw the figurine, it’s so tiny! Definetly not worth $160.

I just called the NY store to get myself some goodies. Does anyone know if the smaller pink zip up case (above) with Kitty Donutella on it, is called a “card case”? I wasn’t sure when I was trying to order if we were talking about the same thing. Sometimes it’s hard to order over the phone!

I got the donutello card case and it is zippered up so you could slide your cc and ID into it and it can become a mini wallet =P
As for the Japan update…I haven’t heard back from her T_T sorry y’all….but Sanrio NY can ship items…so I went ahead and got my black and pink boston bag there as well as the card case…
and the japan sanrio website does have a page on the collection and their pricing…good luck!

does anyone know where i can get the tokidoki x hello kitty stuff in a store when i comes out in the DC/Maryland area. there use to be sanrio stores around a few years back and they have closed all of them around here. Tokidoki is easy to find but I was never able to get any of the hello kitty x tokidoki stuff except for ebay. thanks for anybody’s help
^ only select Sanrio stores carry these items so you won’t be able to get them at any other retail store. I suggest you try to order from Sanrio stores by phone.
The Sanrio in Temple City has the Tokidoki x Hello Kitty stuff already. =)
It seems this second Tokidoki line is not as exclusive as the first line ? It is as though it is more available this time around . Or perhaps it s not selling out as fast as the first line . Brigitta from Sanrio Home Office I remember speaking to before . You had helped me out when the Momoberry Store in L.A. screwed up my order . You were so helpful in getting me a Mini Bag from the first Tokidoki For Hello Kitty Line ! ^ I thought I was the only one who felt this way, seems like the first release was more “hyped” then this one. It’s crazy because I thought since there was no waiting list that people would even be lined up outside the store the day of the NYC release, which didnt happen. I was there again like 4 days ago and everything was still in stock except the black boston bags. And it’s been more then 2 weeks since the release.
Marisol – I feel the same way too. Maybe it’s the bad economy as well, nobody is spending money. Also I think it’s because this time they have plenty of them in stock. They made more because of the success from the first release which made it not so limited edition anymore.
Hsiu- There are no more Sanrio stores in the MD/DC area that will carry them.
The closest one that might have had them was the Sanrio store in the Arundal Mills mall, but that closed down some time ago…. :/
Unless another store like Metropark or Commander Salamander will carry it, we’re out of luck.

hey~ was just in the sanrio luxe store at times square…they have the figurines in….jewelry…but no plush keychains….still have the pink and black handbags…did not see any boston bags…but they have everything else still in stock…. ^_^;;

Depends where in PA you are in… there are those Mini Vans or Bus in Philly Chinatown that goes to Manhattan Chinatown every few hours…
If you would have to pay high price to get the bags in Ebay.. why not just make a one day trip to the City….

I have several things from the first line since they were available on tokidoki.it but I am sooooo bummed b/c none of this stuff is anywhere online except for eBay. All I want is a pencil bag or card case!

I know some of you feel that the first line was more exclusive than the current one… But at least I was able to buy some of that stuff w/out having to pay double the retail!

Maven, it is hard to find Tokidoki items in Boston, but I have had luck at a couple of places: Macy’s in Downtown Crossing has tokidoki; Hootenany in the Garage in Harvard square used to carry it; and Karmaloop on Newbury street also carries some tokidoki.
