Awesome! But does anybody know what happened to the store that was supposed to open in LA?
This is so cool, I might even go to the grand opening as I live in the city now. Anyone know if they have everything from the online store and exclusives at the store? Wonder if they are going to have some sales when they open.

David – The store will not have everything available online. I emailed Simone to ask him and he said it is a mini store and will have mostly accesories. I wish they made a real store…I wonder how it’s going to go for meeting Simone since the store is supposed to be really small. I’m still hesitating between going there or to the LA store when it will open.
Ashley – I asked Simone when the store in LA will open but he said it’s been pushed back and he didn’t specify a month.

so the Melrose toki store opening got pushed back? maybe they wanted to set up NY first and got delayed. too bad for me but great for the east coast toki fans

Me too, probably going at leaving my place around 11 to go there. What is everyone else doing there? I plan to bring my camera and take a picture with him. Signing seems like a hassle as you need to buy something like a poster or bring a piece of paper with you. I hope they have some stuff on sale that day.
OMG!!!!! Simone’s going to be doing a signing at Nordstrom in Hawaii. FINALLY. I am for sure going
all i have to say is that simone is the nicest guy ever!
i asked him about the koi scrubs and he said most likely there will not be any further collaboration since it was kind of a one-time-only deal, but if they do approach him again he wouldn’t object since “they were a company full of really nice people.”
he also told me that tokidoki jeans may not come to the US since they are expensive european exclusives to begin with and are made in europe, which means the import fee will further increase the price of the jeans and that even though tokidoki fans are used to spending a lot of money on stuff – a few hundred (as in close to $400) for jeans may be a bit much for the american audience.
finally, he said the coco commando series is going slow since the toy designs take a while and production takes even longer. he assured me there WILL be more, though. he proceeded to tell me that he’s been spending a lot of time sketching the rest of the coco commandos and that one of the characters will be a skunk with a gas mask (AWESOME, RIGHT? he totally made himself crack up when he told me that) and a dog with an S.O.S. shirt on. he also told me another character but i totally forgot. haha.
he seriously spent like 6 minutes talking to me and drew exactly what i wanted… i love tokidoki and simone more than ever now!
Wow what a day!
First I got to the store at 330pm, the line was still towards the back of the end street. I stood online figures I’ll make it, then two people in front of me told me that the manager told them that they will be the last two to get in. I didn’t care I figures I’ll wait awhile maybe they’ll let me in. two minutes later two more people cuts infront of me and said that the manager told them that they were the last two to get in. ok fine I stood there for like ten more minutes and decided to leave.
I walk passed the store to go back to my car when two people stop me one guy carrying a camera asking me bout the bag that I was holding. I told them it tokidoki from Europe I think it’s from Spain. he asked if he can take a picture of it. then he introduced himself as the manager of the store and that he had never seen this design before. he then ask me y I didn’t get it autograph. I told him that the people online told me that I won’t be able to get in. LOL he said nonsense follow me I’ll get that sign for u right now.
I follow him cut the whole line walk right in standing next to Simone! The manager kept thanking me for letting him took the pix of the bag. Once Simine finish signing for the previous customer he turn to me look at my bag and was sooo amazed by it!
the manager told him look what I found and this young lady here was kind enough to let me take a picture of it. Simone touch my bag and said wow this is from Spain back from 2001 collection when he first got started. He ask me where I got it from cause it is no longer made and it look brand new. I told him I bought it from eBay last month. he said he didn’t know people still have them in stock. LOL he then sign my 80s bag and took a picture with me!
I was super excited must have thanks him a million time he then said thank you for letting me see the bag.
I walked out of the store super happy decided to walk pass the group of people who told me I can’t get in and told them I got it sign! they were like how did u???? and I said he liked my bag and walked away screaming down the street!!!!!
So thank u Simone! You had made my day! I have bout over 200 pieces of tokidoki stuffs and i’m super happy to have met u today!!!!
WOW! That was my dream to go see Simone. He’s the coolest guy ever! By the way if you wanna know who I am, I was the 12 year old girl holding a Onitsuka Yellow tiger box, I had a red sweat shirt on, and my dad was REALLY annoying! tell me if you know me, I’d like to know if you saw me.
Well, any way, I got a good picture with Simone and my cusin. I bought a few things, a sandy plush, a shirt, a moofia blind box, a pin pack, and a box of mints. Well I took a picture with him and soon I will post it on photo bucket. And I thought the sore would be alot bigger. Well im not gonna complain because that was my dream! Store bog or small.! I wanted to meet him for ever! And I did! Ill remeber march 7th 2009 for ever. Simon Legno ROX MY FUZZY PINK SOX OFF!!!!

Katie – I think I saw you inside the store…you will definitely know who I am if I was there at the same time as you. I have pink bangs and my right arm full of tokidoki tattoos.
Simone was so nice and he was really impressed with my tattoos. I asked him to sign my arm and I will get it tattooed tomorrow. I’m so glad I got to meet him.
I got to the store at 1:30 and the line was long. Then 15 minutes later, toki people passed with a camera to film everyone waiting. When they saw me, they let me cut to the front of the line!

Hi Katie where you the one with the sushi skate deck that was covered the the pinkish-red plastic bag? I was that girl in the orange coco commando shirt with the foresta bag taking pics of your arm two spots in front of you on line. my friends and i were thinking that him signing your arm and you getting it tattooed would’ve been a great idea.. and you did it!

They put up my tattooed arm on the tokidoki.it blog. I’t's currently the second picture from the left on the first row: girl with pink hair, adios flowers, etc(I have more inside my arm, but they didn’t put that picture)
Should I get the empty spots filled with a background? I was thinking of adding stars, lightning bolt …any suggestions?
