Skullcandy Headphones and Rare Euro Items
Reader Christine spotted a tokidoki x Skullcandy headphones display at the mall recently, and snapped a photo to share with us. They are finally here - be on the lookout for them in stores!
Reader Jen B. also found and pre-ordered the headphones online at a shop called Shredding Betty that is down for maintenance at the moment - when they come back up I will add in the link.
Vicki has added a blog to the Chicki website, and has a post up about a rare pink European tokidoki x CyP bag that she is auctioning on eBay, and some rare European tokidoki bags from 4-5 years ago that she has restocked on Chicki.
Reader Ashley also spotted some older, rare European tokidoki clothing items still available on Yoox.

Only think is … I don’t personally think it is worth the $79 for them. Skull Candy is junk. I’m a music junkie and I’ve had my many downs with Skull Candy.

yeah hrm i felt a little weird taking that picture, there were a few wondering what i was taking a picture of… and you know what? everytime i visit that store and ask when they’re coming in… they always say they don’t know, even the managers are not sure when they’re gonna arrive o_O I never really bought any Skull Candy merch and if they’re really junky…. I dunno if I want to buy them… ugh but it’s soooo tokidoki hehehehe

there are 2 different kinds… headphones and earbuds… that’s cool right? but i’m sure anything is better than the stock ipod earphones that i still use.

Dana, I bought some Skullcandy earbuds to replace the ones that came with my iPod, and the quality was AWFUL. I returned the Skullcandy buds to the store the same day I bought them. Until I can afford the Bose earbuds, I’m going to stick with my iPod ones! The Skullcandy tokidoki headphones are cute, though. If they were a little cheaper, I’d buy just as a collector’s item.

I have the earbuds and they are not that bad of sound quality, esp. considering I only paid $15 for them. My bf has a really good ear for music and sound and he even said the sound quality isn’t bad, but it’s your call. As for the headphones pictured above, I’m not sure if the quality is the same for the price. I’m assuming they will bump up the price bc of the collabo.

I had no idea TKDK and Skull Candy were going to work on something together. This is awesome. I love Skull Candy headphones. I’ve been through so many in the past few years and they have the best sound and fit for my ears. I worship Skull Candy and this feels like a dream come true #2. Number 1 was the TKDK and HK line ^__^

The mens yoox shirts seem a bit excessive. They look exactly like the US ones, but cost $98. I thought some the $50 shirts were too much, but that’s crazy.

I saw them @ pearls this weekend. I wasn’t impressed? It was only the earbuds though. I need new earbuds…but not for $40, especially if the quality isn’t great. Oh well.

Well it seems that SkullCandy’s customer service leaves something to be desired. I tried to purchase a pair of headphones on 6/23 on the site with the 50% off code and it said it was expired. I sent an email to customer service & 12+ hours later (when the message says they will respond in a few moments), there was no response. then i did a live chat with a representative this morning they simply said “it was being abused and so we took it off” then he asked where i got the code and I said it was all over the web and he simply said, “it is expired” and then logged off the chat. I dunno i don’t think that a company should create a code and then simply yank it b/c people are actually *using* it, maybe as a false tactic to drive business to their site. Anyway, suffice it to say, I heard their products are less than stellar and today I found out they have customer service and a lack of business ethics to match. I guess I am just old school, that if a business says it will do something and advertise it, it should follow through to their customers. Just a warning to everyone that was hoping to purchase a pair of tokidoki headphones at a somewhat decent price.

Michiko- I think the code was leaked, and was not supposed to be available for everyone. The code was originally on www.slickdeals.net from a user there, not from the store’s website itself. I don’t think it’s unethical to pull a code that is being misused (misused meaning the people who were using it were not supposed to be using it).
