thank you!!!! it is 3:30am in Hawaii and idk what made me check my txt messages but i did! whoohoo! shirts are in the mail! =)

  2. ciNNie says:

shipping to hawaii sucks though! i spent $50 but hawaii is not included in the free shipping deal…oh wells…

  3. Gabby says:

^-^ Yup those are the only i saw in my target

  4. Ritsu says:

Does anyone know the sizing? I know these are youth sizes, but would adults fit them too?

  5. drdubski says:

there is also a pink girls tees with a pink hair girl/guitar/stars and glitter!! and a black girls tee with a glittery bunny/dog creature. Both are more fitted for girls. I’d say the XL fits like a L in the tokidoki line. the pink one is cute, the black one… well, it’s only 8 buck so I guess I’ll like it.

  6. Tiffany says:

drdubski- Where did you see the pink at? My little girl wants one and she would love a pink one instead of the boys shirt.

I ordered the grey one for me just in case my Target doesn’t get these… but I am hoping so I can see some sizes in person before I get them.

  7. Karen says:

Just passed by Target in NYC today and saw these tees. Got the black one in size small and it fits fine. I wear a medium in the tokidoki women’s sizes.

  8. ashley says:

    awwww, these aren’t autographed

    =(

  9. Gabby says:

    I didnt see the other 2 D:

  10. Candice says:

Glad others were actually able to get some tees this time. I watch this blog often and happy to be able to give back to the community. Now to check out target for those pink shirts you guys are talking about. Are they in girls sizing or womens? Thanks :)

  11. Serita says:

……Why does the U.S. get the most awesome stuff : ( I’m so jealous XD

  12. Gabby says:

They are the girl sizing most likely. Cause i got the boy tees in the boy section

  13. drdubski says:

I saw the girl ones in Pensacola, FL. They were by the hello kitty, high school musical, woodstoc/hippy shirts. It looks like they will be getting a whole bunch of stuff…. the tag read, “Discover Simone’s world, from apparel to accessories and more and get street-cred without breaking the bank – exclusively at Target.”

  14. Gabby says:

I didnt see the tag D:
There arent any girl ones in the NYC target i visited

  15. drdubski says:

I’m sure you all will get them soon, Pensacola is REDNECK so if my target has them, yours will too soon!! (Serioulsy, girls smoke when they are pregnant out in public and guys have pictures of their truck airbrushed on their truck!!) i was definately suprised to see them here.

  16. Gabby says:

    o-o The shirts? WTF?

  17. Ashley says:

I can’t believe it doesn’t bother anyone else that he’s choosing to sell out to Target. Between purses and clothes, I’ve spend a few thousand dollars on his line…guess I could have just waited and gotten the “bargain” versions from my local discount store. Ridiculous!

  18. Tiffany says:

It doesn’t really bother me that he is going with Target… I’m glad to see kids shirts and bags there. My little girl has wanted Tokidoki stuff just like I have and really all she has gotten is a stuffed toy and a Ciao Ciao pillowcase… and now she can wear the clothes so she is super excited. Even if she is wearing a boy’s shirt as a nightgown… to her she is like her mama and makes her happy, and makes me happy because I’m only spending $8 on a shirt that will end up stained by a 4 year old anyways. And the bags because I can have a cute bag that I can throw on a floor or put my kiddos stuff in and I don’t have to be a pschyo about things getting on it like I am my other bags. (A pen mark across the inside of my 1st gen bella bella made me that way lol!)

Also, I’m sure there is a dramatic quality difference between what is at Target and what we have from Tokidoki so far. The charaters and design themselves don’t look as great. At least it isn’t being called “Tokidoki for Target”.

  19. Gabby says:

The simone legno for target is towards kids and if its the refualr tokidoki with those characters some might not be interested or appropiate*. In my opinon i thinks its rather cute

  20. sell out to Target… haha, well I kinda am o_O about the whole Target and Tokidoki thing…. but whatevers :P

  21. Jenn says:

Affordable tokidoki? In this economy? I’m in. :)

  22. JJ says:

Target also added a backpack and a messenger bag on the site!
it’s not yet available but they do have pics. I need the backpack!

  23. Tofufar says:

    doesnt bother at all…

girls.. we have seen *people* complain about how expensive and un-affordable Tokidoki purse were… now its nice they have Target version..

I went to the Target in Whitestone NY today.. they have both.. but both at Boys Section… for $7.99 is unbeatable… too bad the Black one when OOS for XL…

  24. Margaret says:

I just got both the shirts ^-^ Turns out that on the tag, you can peel it off and its a sticker! Not a very sticky one, but it is a sticker…..

  25. stephanie says:

i kinda agree that this is sorta like selling out on some level. thus far, tokidoki has been regarded as a niche brand and the products are usually really fun and unique and quirky. i know retail pretty well, and i can say with all honesty that this is simone segueing into more “affordable” toki merch. the same thing happened about 5 years ago with hello kitty. it went to target first, then it was EVERYWHERE. i’m sure that if these few items do well that there will probably be a very big collection (maybe back to school or holiday time) and then eventually places like hot topic will pick it up.

i do think that it IS fun for kids who want tokidoki stuff, but in the 3+ years that i’ve been familiar with tokidoki it’s been adult friendly as well and i will miss that a LOT.

  26. ambersdad says:

My daughter does not care for the newer stuff. I guess as time goes by the LSS line of toki, that my daughter loves so much, will be considered “vintage”.

    http://tokidoki.freeforums.org/the-many-gifts-for-a-well-des erving-daughter-t3226.html

As for the target “bags”, the quality does not look as good as the LSS and “tokidoki” (as opposed to “Simone Legno”) line. So I guess you get what you pay for.

  27. ambersdad says:

Forgot to add that these would be perfect for the younger age kids to get started into toki. Hopefully the prices will allow the younger ones to afford toki.

  28. starssaygoodbye says:

I remember when I was at the NYC store opening, his attorney and business partner were talking about how he was able to launch a strictly children’s line… I’m guessing this is probably it. And do I think it’s selling out? No, I think that, like others have already said, that parents will be able to afford tokidoki things for their kids… and it won’t hurt me either to spend eight bucks on a tokidoki shirt versus thirty three…

  29. Michy says:

hmm… it is sort of selling out but i dont mind. He’s just trying to reach out to every crowd and age. i mean Ed Hardy has a line going on with Walmart, such as school supplies and all, so why not Tokidoki? I always thought since Tokidoki is “designer” that it wouldn’t gear towards kids, even if the art is attractive to them. Its an attempt to make it so everyone can afford to have Tokidoki, which is a great idea. plus yea, its cool to get a TKDK shirt for $8.00 even if the quality isn’t up to par :3 Gives my wallet a break. XD

  30. David says:

As a guideline for anyone planning to order the boy shirts online. I have a large shirt and it fits like a slim shirt that fits right, not skin tight.

I have a 36″ chest and the shirt ends around the middle to the top of my belt.

  31. [...] addition to the Simone Legno for Target t-shirts, two more items from this new collaboration popped up on the Target website today – bags! Spotted [...]

  32. ashley says:

why do some people think Simone is selling out? selling out is “the compromising of one’s integrity, morality and principles in exchange for money, ‘success’ (however defined) or other personal gain”

who says that he’s only doing this collaboration (or any other for that matter) just to make extra money or for the fame? even so, what morals has he lost in doing these collabos? the shirts are only $7.99!! how could he possibly profit that much from such cheap shirts? please explain why he is a “sell out”!!!

  33. jennifer says:

woo hoo! thanks tokidoki-blog..and contributing tokidoki fans..i just ordered 2 of each boys t-shirt!! can’t wait to get the messenger bag whenver i get notified..it becomes available =OP

  34. Tiffany says:

I found two lil girl shirts today at my Target. They were in the girls section with the Hello Kitty stuff. Of course they didn’t have my daugthers size (we are going to keep checking though), but it will just have to be a little big for a little while I guess.

Both are super cute, but the quality is that of a $10 tee. I picked up an XL and it looks to be about a L in the Tokidoki line, but I can’t tell you for sure because I am 8 months pregnant and can’t try it on for comparison right now lol! But it does look like it is long enough to pull off as an adult shirt.

  35. Cici says:

Wow the backpacks are cheaper than the fakes! I think they are very smart! It’s a win-win-win for tokidoki (got paid big licence fee from target), for customer (very affordable price), and for killing the fakes (why buy the fakes when you can get the real ones for cheaper?). Good job Simone!

  36. jb006ie says:

Found all 4 four shirts (2 boys/2 girls) at my local Target (Serramonte Mall) for all the Bay Area tokidoki fans.

  37. Veronica says:

Ashley I couldn’t disagree with you more ! I think MANY of us spent ” thousands ” easily for our Tokidoki collections ! I think I spent at least thousand on his collabration on the Tokidoki For Hello Kitty Line ( The first one ivory / gold not the recent line . ) . What is wrong with him trying out different markets . Were you against his collabrations with Hello Kitty , or with Ride for the clothing and snow board line , or Fornarina Shoes , the laptops with fijitsu , I could go on but I won’t .

Not everyone can easily afford the prices of Tokidoki . I am a parent and I can tell you there is no way I’d spend $ 33.00 for at-shirt for my three year old son Mason . I mean come on he’s three ! But at $ 7.99 per shirt I can afford to get two and the backpack for him as well as the school supplies and not wreck the family budget ! I actually was able to get three personally autographed T-shirts when they were available on Target.com for my son but I since decided to save them as they are collector’s items . I will buy unsigned t-shirts for him to wear . So I will be buying at least seven total so he will have back up t-shirts when he grows out of the first set !

I think it is great that Simone is able to do a more affordable line . I don’t find he is selling out but gaining a wider audience for his product and that is the bottom line for any buisness regards of what kind ! I hear that Simone will be coming out with a brand new line exclusive to children . And I can bet you the t-shirts won’t be priced at $ 7.99 ! Or any of the clothing selections for that matter ! I will buy some items for the upcoming clothing line for children but I already know it will be expensive ! I appreciate Simone for doing this line and I hope for yet another collabration in the near future with Target as I am sure this line will be a success !

  38. Veronica says:

Thanks jb006ie I am a Bay Area Tokidoki fan as well !Any word if they had the school supplies in yet ? Or the messenger bag or backpack ? I also want to purchase these items ! I can’t wait to see the monkey one ! Thank you for the heads up I appreciate it !

  39. Alice says:

Just picked up the two girls shirts. The XL seems to fit like a medium, but may stretch out to a large. They are really long, longer than the tokidoki tees.

  40. Kat says:

All tees have been sighted at the Target off FM1960 in NW Houston! No sign of the bags or school supplies yet, though.

  41. Lolita Love says:

ZOMG I bought the pink girls tee last nite!! 8 bux!! All my other thousand TKDK things cost a fortune so this was awesome. I’m planning 2 buy the other girls shirt 2day!! :D

  42. Angie says:

I am a bigger girl and I bought the 2 boys shirts in a XL they fit tight but they fit. YEA!!! So for you bigger girls out there they will work.

  43. ashley says:

could someone please post a picture of the girls’ tees?

  44. Ivan Arnold says:

    Hello All:

Allow me to clarify as it seems that there is a lot of confusion about what is going on with the Simone Legno for Target product line. Simone was approached by Target to be a featured designer much like Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen, Isaac Mizrahi and Philippe Starck. We were THRILLED that Target asked Simone to participate and so we set out to create an ENTIRELY new brand concept EXCLUSIVELY for kids that we will slowly be unveiling over the coming months. To say that we are excited about the new project is an understatement and we are working overtime to bring a whole new crew of Simone Legno designed characters exclusively for kids to life.

Please know however that this project is not related to the tokidoki brand and it won’t ever feature any tokidoki characters or elements.
tokidoki is an entirely different concept altogether and I think that you will find after we officially launch this product into Target that tokidoki and Simone Legno for Target are aimed at 2 totally different consumers.

tokidoki is Simone Legno’s first love and life’s work and will remain the same. We hope you enjoy this new project from us and you get to collect all of the pieces, it’s REALLY cute!

Finally, we have heard all of your pleas with regards to tokidoki pricing and I can tell you that we are actively working to make tokidoki more affordable in these trying times.

Thanks for all of your support.

    Ciao,

    Ivan Arnold

Duh~ And once more I’m not able to order something because I’m not in the US…

  46. Joyce says:

hi can anyone please give me the sku number to the girl shirts to see if any target stores have it in my area.. I really wanna get them for my daughter.

  47. Tiffany says:

    Joyce-
I’m not sure what numbers you need but you could try these, they are off the tags of the shirts:

    Black w/dog- (underneath barcode) 90320 86172
    Pink w/ girl- 90320 86175

    Hope that helps!

  48. Tiffany says:

    ashley-
If you want to add me on myspace I will take a picture w/ my cell and upload it into my pictures for you. I gotta keep it private because I have pictures of my kids on there. :)

  49. Kaitlin says:

So I was browsing eBay and I found an auction for one of the girls shirts. It’s the black one with the dog. The price is ridiculous, but atleast it is a picture for all of us that haven’t seen it yet.
