A reader spotted new tokidoki x Onitsuka Tiger sneakers on the Asics website. Their release date is listed as August 1, 2009 in both men’s and women’s sizes.
Also pictured on the website are some super-cute tokidoki x Onitsuka Tiger Snowtopia boots with a projected release date of October 1, 2009. They will also come in black and light grey colorways.

I was doing a google search trying to find pics of the upcoming bag prints. i googled ‘tokidoki 2009′ and i ended up coming across those on a blog somewhere. someone went to some trade show thing and there was a booth there showing the shoes. my hear skipped a beat… haha!

I like the silver and yellow shoes. Definitely like this series best as it has bright urban look to it.
Anyone know the specs of shoes, seems like some parts are patent leather and some just plain leather. If it has patent leather on it, I guess the price is worth it.
If any of you are looking for the fit of shoe before buying and can’t try them on, try zappos.com and buy the fabre bl-l shoes there, they are the same model as the tokidoki ones, and return after you try them on. This will be for free as zappos has a free shipping and return policy.
I saw the boots on Simone’s friend at San Diego Comic Con and they were super adorable. (She was wearing them folded down.) I have to have them!!

I AGREE!! im totally digging the snowboots! perfect for sf winter! btw: random question but does anyone have the chooka rainboots? Do they fit spot on with the shoe size? im debating whether to get 8 when im a size 7and half.
jennay – Unless you tend to wear very bulky socks, size down with the Chooka rainboots if you’re a half size.
I really like the first 3 colours of the sneakers (I can’t decide!) and I hope the boot fit me alright. I despise size 11.
I actually have the Chooka rainboots and I had to go up a half size (from 8.5 to 9). I don’t wear wide sizes, but I guess my feet are a little bit wider than a medium width. So, Jennay – if you have a slightly wider foot, you may want to take that into consideration.
as for the sneakers on trendy stars: their sizes are so limited! would i be correct in assuming that we can expect a wider range of sizes when the shoes are actually released? or is this it?

thanks for all the feedback! i dont really have wide feet but i like wearing semi-thick socks….its still a dilemna. esp. since i wear a half a size down in heels.
did the boots come in half sizes?? i know on tobi all they had was an 8
jennay – No, the boots only come in whole sizes. I’m a 7.5 and I like to wear thick socks too, so I got my Chookas in size 8. They’re a little roomy, but since they’re rainboots and not running sneakers, it doesn’t bother me. Plus, I can also wear them as snow boots too in the winter with super-thick thermal socks. If you prefer a snug fit though, you might want to size down. Hope that helped rather than further added to the confusion.
smoke_monster – The Asics website says the sneaks come in men’s sizes 8-14 and women’s sizes 5-12.
haha now im totally confused. so how big is roomy? is it like a whole finger in the back roomy? or wiggly in toes roomy? i dont wanna be swimming in the shoes but i dont want them too tight either. this is why shoes come in half sizes.
For me it’s like a whole finger in the back roomy. When I got them, I kind of wished I’d sized down instead of up, but didn’t feel like going through the return process, so I found ways to make them work.
jennay – i tend to go a half size up in heels, so sounds like you and I have opposite problems!

Yes, I just order my shoes from eilatan.com. They ship pretty fast.. I ordered and 2 hours later I got the confirmation. Ordered on a Tuesday and got them on a Friday. Definitely sign up for their newsletter because they have24/ 48 hour sales with an additional 15% – 20% off on tokidokis sometimes but they do not tell you the coupon code so it’s kind of confusing..

Ala Moana Nordstrom just got their shipment of the new tokidoki x Onitsuka Tiger sneakers. They only have 3 colorways (all, but the yellow/green one). I just picked up the purple/turquoise one… OH MY GAHHHH SoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo CUTE! I LOVE THEM!! I’d say that the fit is true to size.
i also got the purple/blue/pink one from nordstrom in hawaii. Theyre true to size too, in fact a little bigger for me. I guess thats what they mean by unisex, its a little wider for my foot. And I didn’t know the star on the black and white one is glittery :3 super cute
oh and nordstrom hawaii is also getting the snowboots :3 according to mr.salesman
I hope that when time grows closer to the launch of the boots, they will give more information on them, like if they run small or big :3 I gotta get a pair of the white ones! x3
FINALLY!!! I’ve been looking online since Oct. 1.
The snowtopia boots have arrived at Nordstrom’s.
Chicago only has the white and black ones.
I’ve bought the white ones and they’re soooooooo kawaii and warm!!!
About the size, usually I have a 6,5 in normal shoes, 7 in sports shoes. My other 1st Gen Asics Tokidoki sneakers are a 7 as well. The boots in 6,5 were pretty snug, more of a sneaker wear. I choose a 7 so I have the option of wearing thicker socks. I was wearing thin socks while trying the boots on.
The 7s are a little wider, but really comfy, and definitely not too big. It says 24 cm, US 7, or Euro 38.
So it’s more up to you, but I’d say they run pretty true to size, but you might want to consider going up half a size.

oh sorry, the sneakers I have are the 2nd Gen high top. Don’t know if that makes a difference though.

It’s a loose fit. Measurements of the boots:
height, incl. sole almost 10,5 inch
circumference on the top part is about 14 inch on the outside.
the boots aren’t really high, so I think they should fit anyone.
the great thing is that you can also wear them with the top folded down so you can see all the cute characters. Than you don’t have to worry about your calfs.
