Hi everyone! I just got back from a vacation in Canada and am working on catching up on all the news I missed last week, including the wide release of the new tokidoki Mimiteca and Fantasma print bags. They are available now in the tokidoki.it store in 10 all-new styles.

I loveToki bags because they are whimsical & fun ~ & they were something fresh. These prints look just the same as any other bags to me…

Peeps in Hawaii, macys in pearls still has a few mimetca bags left. Sales clerk gave me 25% off my mimetca elegante and fantasma wallet yesterday. Animation addict also has em.

i love the cosmetic bag and i’m so glad they brought back a wallet! not too crazy about either of these patterns though… and i’m not sure why they would give new names to the exact same bags. any insight on that? just curious!
I like what they did for the “new” versions of the serena/ragazza: They rolled the nylon handles! The reason I didn’t buy a Ragazza is that the handles were too bulky for a bag that I’d have primarily in my hand or on the crook of the elbow. So yay there.
Overall I am unhappy that they have stopped using rainbow zippers. To me that was the #1 trademark of Toki bags. And I admit that I miss having a Qee or Qee-like figure. But the Adios/Ciao Ciao figures are pretty cute, so I can forgive that.
Yay wallets and other small bags that you can stuff inside other, larger bags!
Here is to hoping that the next generation of Tokidoki bags have SILVER hardware instead of gold.

macys sells toki here, but when i went last week, they didn’t have the new ones. I did score a portafortuna for less than half off tho! They were marked down….then 40% off that price…then I had a 20% off coupon they let me use! I’d imagine they were making room for the new styles. They also had some discoteca and leo.

Totally agree with you jessakamitz. I don’t like these new bags, they don’t have any of the appeal of the colorful scenes, cute characters and qees they used to have. And no rainbow zippers, bah!

I’d never hate a Toki bag, but this isn’t something I am interested in. Hopefully one day they will create some that blend in with the original line. These are different, and variety is always nice, but you have to admit that the original ones like Foresta, Citta, and Pirata had a lot of appeal. Again, I’m not trying to bash these new bags at all, but I really do miss the originality of some of the older patterns : ( AND the TKDK girls : (
I’m not mourning the loss of the rainbow zipper. It was nice, but wouldnt go with the casual style of these bags.
Maybe he’ll use them again depending on the fabric?

I just got my order of the small cross body bag and compagno wallet in fantasma print from the tokidoki website and i noticed that under the zipper it doesn’t have riri m6 indent on it o_O thought that was kinda strange. The inside of the bag has the tokidoki logo all over and its red lol its pretty! I’ll upload pictures soon if any of you are curious on how it looks.

ok i know this has nothing to do with these bags but this is the most recent entry so i decided to post this here! i was in a macys store today in new england and they had 6 different tokidoki tshirts! they were only $19.99! there was a grey one with mozzerella and a dog, a black one with a lot of different characters, a red one with mozzerella and latte, a blue one with a cheerleader, a purple one with the onsunita tiger on a cloud, and a white one with the cactus girl! i got the grey one!
I think since my local Macy’s will stock these bags I will wait to get them on sale ! I don’t think I like them well enough to spend full price on this latest collection . While I have been waiting forever it seems for the Tokidoki brand to bring back accessories like wallets I wish they has chosen different prints instead . ( Like Carnival , Eco Mondo , and Concerto Punk ! ) There would have been much more choices as far as print placement ! I just not loving these enough to buy them right now !
I have patience and have scored bags at great sale prices since the Tokidoki don’t seem to move through the stores both on line and retail as fast as they used to . I miss the rainbow zippers too a Tokidoki brand trademark for sure , also there are fewer choices as far as bag styles go ! ( Don’t get me started on how Tokidoki discounted my only two favorite bag styles Carezza as well as the Amica recently ! ) Why of all the bag choices they choose to discontinue the bag styles that were carried over from the older Tokidoki For LeSportSac line ? So I won’t be buying any bags only the wallets and cosmetic case .
To Veronica– OH MY GOODNESS I’M SOOOOO BUMMED THAT THEY DISCONTINUED THE AMICA AND CAREZZA TOOOOOO!! AMICA WAS MY FAVORITE! they fit everrryyythingg!! =’( and i totally agree with you that i will only be buying the wallets and cosmetic cases in these new bag styles.

For all of those who bought the cheap bags from beautifullybigduds and her friends in Kentucky you all got stolen bags and there is a trial set with the US Attorneys office against all of them. So wear your stolen bag with shame, you helped steal from Simone and this website promoted that seller. Shame on you all! Maybe when you get robbed you will care!
wow! really!! I am glad they got caught and are getting prosecuted.
But buyers would never know where sellers get their stuff from, I mean really, they will never say I stole this…….lol!! So, buyers really should not be held accountable for this incident, the last thing they wish is to buy from a thief.
While I understand your anger Jan I think you have directed at the wrong people ! I mean blame the people who have acually stole these Tokidoki bags and not the buyers who had no idea that the bags they were buying were stolen ! Jan do you buy from E-Bay ? How do you know that the items that you are buying are not indeed stolen ?
While I have not bought anything from this E-Bay seller myself I can say that only a few of my bags were bought from E-Bay ! And SHAME on you for attacking this blog for YOU are posting on ! Stephanie has a list for E-Bay sellers who sell authenic Tokidoki bags and the bags beautifullybigduds were indeed aucthenic ! So how was anyone to know that the bags that beautifullybigduds sold were stolen ? I mean did you know beforehand ?
On a more pleasant note Dana I am in the same boat as you with regards to the new bag styles as well as prints ! They changed too much of what made Tokidoki special as well as unique ! Dana have you bought any of the accessories from the new line yet ? I am waiting for a good sale a REALLY good sale before I make any purchases . But I miss the Amica and the Carezza as well ! Why did they discontinue the best bags ? Oh well better for my wallet anyways !
