Reader Veracosa was at the tokidoki capsule store in NYC this past weekend, and spotted the new tokidoki Pegaso print bags there. She couldn’t take pics inside the store, but they said it was ok to do it through the store window – her pics are below!
Reader Tati also spotted the Pegaso print in a 2009 tokidoki catalog that she received with her recent order from tokidoki.it – the pics that she snapped of the catalog’s front and back covers came out the clearest, so here they are:

Danielle from tokidoki was very firm about not wanting the 2010 catalog scans posted online when I contacted her – and Tati is right that she said it was a mistake that some of them slipped out early. (So Lauren, consider yourself lucky!) I therefore can’t post the scans here, but if they’re up elsewhere, I imagine that the person who posted them will be asked to remove them very soon.
Why prolong our disappointment , We may aswell see the prints now.

Exactly ! As I said it is nothing to get excited about ! And the pick straps another disappointment for me too ! I will be sitting out yet another season of Tokidoki bags ! Where are all of the scene prints ? And the bag styles please don’t get me started ! No more qees either ?
I mean the rhinestone Tokidoki Logo is cute and all but I think that is yet another attempt for Tokidoki to lower the cost and not pass it on to the consumer as promised ! The quality is going down but not the prices !

wow guys, this totally made me depressed. i have to admit that i do like the 80′s vibe to the print, but after hearing about the overall bag quality (fabric, lack of qees, straps, lack of rainbow zippers), i’m much less enthusiastic. i’m officially on the fence.
i stand by my opinion that they need to do some scenes new york style, with the king kong looking monkey rocking the statue of liberty pose, hamburgers, sky scrapers, central park trees and all.

The more I see the bags, The more I don’t like them. They looks so stiff and cheap. The pattern even looks weird, I don’t get how Tokidoki can get it sooooo wrong.
Why is everybody hating on the new bags? I’m going to carry my super cute new Pegaso and Stella Nera bags proudly. Why did you love Tokidoki bags in the first place? Because they’re expensive? I love them in spite of that. I’d carry my Toki bags if they cost $5. They are fun and colourful and make people smile (myself included). Just because the materials and the cost took a hit doesn’t mean the spirit of the brand is lost.
Yeah S. Bird! Same with me and my Portafortuna (which a lot of people don’t seem to like since it’s similar to Tutti)! I have seen/felt most of the bags currently out from this year and a few from last year when I was shopping yesterday, looking at what the store was carrying… I see no difference in the materials so far. Nothing seems “cheaper” made at all. Unless you are talking about an upcoming collection?
Well, Im glad someone loves the bags. but yes, they have lost their touch and yes everything about them is cheap and Im not talking about the price,I really wanted to love the bags but, I just don’t. not at all.

OMG I TAKE IT ALL BACK! I received my order from JapanLA with my Pegaso and Stellina Nera bags are they are HORRIBLE! The material is rough and cheap feeling. I’ve seen FAKE tokidoki bags that are nicer than these. I will NEVER buy another bag from Tokidoki again UNTIL they change the material back. BEWARE OF THE NEW TERRIBLE TOKIDOKI BAGS!!! I saved up to get these and now I’m out $300 over bags I will NEVER carry!
After hearing all this talk about the material being so different, & horrible to the touch; I just HAD TO buy a Mimiteca and see how it holds up. Don’t get me wrong…it is far from the original Tokis that I own…and ever farther from the VERY FIRST Toki’s that LeSportsac authorized originally…
but, its been 4 weeks now; & it looks JUST FINE!! I even got caught in the rain with mine, and no fear…it did great!! I guess being creatures of habit, we just don’t like CHANGE…but I’d much rather take these bags this way than to get this terrific line discontinued!!
I would love to own a toki doki bag. cannot afford one. LOL! but, just reading about the reviews on the new toki doki bags. It makes me question if I should buy one. I love the print. but, if toki doki is making them cheaper I don’t know if it’s worth buying the new line.
yes, the material is cheap, but that doesnt stop me..i have an astronauta mini messenger, and even though it has not so good quality, i still like it. im trying to get a lesportsac one and maybe i’ll see the difference.

this might be a stupid question, but i cannot find the answer for it! for the 2009 bags, the pegaso print in particular, are there still riri imprinted on the back of the zipper heads? if not, how can you tell fakes of this print?

There are no known fakes of the newer prints. You only have to really look out for the LeSportSac line.
