they are real; i have ordered from them before and they have the same print on the inside of the back of the neck and come with the authentic tags. not sure why i haven’t seen most of them elsewhere, but i have a feeling they get them from europe; that’s the only thing i can think of.

they look like the fake shirts I see in Chinatown X_X

I really don’t think they’re real. It looks like they bought a real shirt, and then re-printed the design on different colored shirts.

    1. if they are fake, why would they sell an authentic sweater like the black one with the jewels and also sell fake t-shirts?
    2. like i said, i ordered them and they have the real tags and on the inside of the shirt where the tag is, there is the printed pictures like all the other real shirts
    3. the pictures on the front of the tees look bigger, just like the ones they make for europe, which i am assuming they order from, esp. because the store is in new york, which is right across the ocean from europe

YRB is a lincensed store. Why would they sell fake clothing? It would hurt the whole business and cause a huge scandal. So i m amusing these clothes were old. I saw some old ones in YRB store.

idk I just wouldn’t trust prints I haven’t seen or heard of on any other major website. It’s a possibility that these shirts could be from euro, but i don’t
think I’ll be taking that chance. I sent an email to the tokidoki website to confirm if they’re real. I guess we’ll see what they see. Or maybe Steph can give us the scoop on these shirts.

YRB has a lot of stores at different location.. been to their stores in SoHo and the one in Queens Center Mall.. they carried tokidoki shirts for quite a while but never seen so many colors… they carried a lot of different brand.. like Paul Frank, Goliath, Billabong…. i dont believe they sell fakes…..

  19. YRB has been selling real tokidoki t-shirts for a long time – at least 4 years, maybe more. Not sure why they have so many more colorways of each design than other shops, though.

I’m looking at some of their clothing items on sale… I heard the women’s stuff tends to run small? So if I normally wear a large would I need an extra large? Cuz the sweater I want that’s discounted they only have large left. I don’t wanna buy something that won’t fit.

kadie – if you’re referring to yrb, the t-shirts i bought seemed the same size as they normally are. you could always buy the sweater and send it back if it doesn’t fit or try selling it on ebay.

Well I was looking on The Giant Peach but I heard all tokidoki clothing in general runs small or is that not true?

  27. onigiri says:

@kadie – I’ve tried on some Tokidoki tank tops and tees. I usually go with size small in general. But with the Toki clothing, I’ve found that sometimes I need to size up to medium with the tank tops & tees. The thicker cloth like hoodies seems to be more true to size. So you might want to try them before you buy or buy from place that u can exchange or return.

Hmmmm well that’s the unfortunate thing is the store where I live only carries the bags, and the clothes very rarely. They’ve never carried any of the clothing besides the tees which I never did see/try on so ordering online may always be my only option for any of the clothes. I think for my first buy I’ll just buy one thing a size up cuz better it be too big, then too small. From then on I’ll know what to get. Thanks ashley and onigiri for your help. :)

  29. kadie – I wear one size larger than normal in tokidoki t-shirts, and the same size as normal in everything else (longsleeve tops, sweaters, hoodies, etc).
