I am totally with Veronica on this one…
The thing I love about Tokidoki bags are there quirkiness with there colorful zippers and quality material. I already wasn’t too impressed when I purchased my Discoteca bag and the Qee fell off as I took the plastic off. The fabric on the inside of the bag feels like cheap pillow case.
Still I stayed faithful because of the fun design and overall quality.
I was seriously upset when I held one of the new bags in my hand. It just felt like any other bag. The originality feels forced. I’m all for trying new and interesting things but I think this was a leap in the wrong direction.
Currently I am feeling pretty content with my collection of tokidoki bags so unless they get it together I won’t be purchasing a bag any time soon.

personally it is preference. whether or not the design/style of these bags are cheaply made or not, the point is it depends what the print is. if you want real high quality high end bags, you wouldn’t go for tokidoki imho, you’d go for a bal, LV, chanel, burberry, gucci, etc.

tokidoki’s line was meant to say “sometimes” for a reason right? if you look a little deeper, it means sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes mad – or whatever fits your mood of the minute. or don’t look any deeper. just look at the print. :D

these bags are all about the print. i just bought the pegaso messenger type bag for holiday shopping convenience, and honestly because it’s really the first of the tokidoki prints that popped out at me (i love horses, pegasus, ponies, unicorns, etc.) – so yeah – for me it was all about the print and how it makes my mood happy :) i.e., preference.

so what if these bags are mass produced. i mean, tokidoki did a line for le sportsac right? le sportsac is sold at all macy’s, bloomies, nordies, etc. so it was only inevitable.

Hi Nine–agreed! It’s all about the print and how wide it makes me smile. People of all ages (and apparent tastes!) stop me in the street to ask me about my Toki bag. The Pegaso print makes me think of rainbows and unicorns and fourth grade and 1980–in a really good way!

I am writing to report on my Stellina Nero Campagna wallet. I received it from Japan LA within 48 hours of ordering it. This was my first time ordering from them, and my shipping had been free, so I was impressed. (I did buy a $5 pair of sushi print socks to qualify for the free shipping.)

I’ve been using the wallet for about three weeks now and overall I am happy with the quality. The only thing that was flat-out cheap about the wallet was the quality of the chain, which I removed anyway. The fabric is sturdy and is holding up well. It is more canvas-like than previous bags.

For me, my favorites are still prints like Inferno and Foresta, but I will likely succumb to buying yet another bag whenever a new print makes me grin like ten-year-old!
