tokidoki for Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary Collection
Reader Stephiee was lucky enough to attend the VIP Hello Kitty Opening Party last Thursday night at Royal-T in Culver City, CA, where she got to see the new tokidoki for Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary Collection up close and personal! She was also nice enough to share pics of the items with us, which are below.
Pictured in the second-to-last photo is Simone’s piece for the Three Apples Exhibition: Celebrating 35 Years of Hello Kitty, and pictured in the final photo are Candace, Simone Legno, and Jeanie of Cute & Nast.

I was there on “super fan day”, 6th one in line since I forced my friend and my boyfriend to be up by 5:30 am. I really wanted my goodie bag. Once doors were open I rushed inside to get my hello kitty/tokidoki bag and shirt. I left my boyfriend outside to make line for the artists’ singning. When Simone arrived people started screaming his name and we all got anxious to meet him. We had purchased the posters early morning and we were all ready to get the line moving. I was 5th in line and not only did Simone signed my poster but he also signed my tokidoki bag. I was super excited. He is so awesome =)

OMGOSH, I saw these awhile ago, and wondered if they were fake. I am wondering if they started a new line of clothes. I think if i went to 3 Apples I would go crazy!

ambersdad - JapanLA’s blog says “the new tokidoki x Hello Kitty series is available at the Sanrio Pop-up Shop! Items include the bags, luggage, iPhone cases, vinyl plush & collectible figures. Come early before they run out!” Not sure where else these items will be sold as of yet though.

I am so jealous of anyone that got to go. I am a huge HK fan, so stuff like this is always exciting for me! I hope they release these bags on the website soon!!!
Anyone know how much the bags retail for?
Also in the first picture on the left side of luggage is that a different style purse??

Hey Dana thanks for the Astronauta info. I’m definitely getting this for my girlfriend. I love anything that has to do with space. I just met for the first time simone this friday and signed my poster and it is true what people say about him he is very nice and obviously cool.

Can anyone post prices ? What pieces are available ? I think I see a handbag next to the luggage ? I think I would like that ! Does anyone know if they take phone orders with a credit card ? I really want that handbag ! I hope the Tokidoki web-site will carry it ! If it is limited edition and will not be sold anywhere else then I don’t want to wait too long !

Hi Ivy! Yes, lets start a Chicago needs Simone petition! I have never had a chance to meet the artist, but I did get a chance to pick up a signed moofia vinyl toy on eBay last year and a signed bag the year before. (Which of course I will now never carry, lol.) I have read here that he is super-nice which is awesome, but then I thought, could anyone that has created such adorable characters be a jerk? Anything’s possible, I suppose, but you can’t look at the prints and not smile. It’s impossible!

hey just a formal annoucement to all tdk hello kitty lovers out there. This is JL from San Francisco Sanrio, we have been getting alot of calls about being on a waiting list for a new november line of TDK x HK items.
Just a note: THERE IS NO LIST for it. My assoicates and I have been yelled at by many customers due to this mistake from someone. Once again there is no waiting list for the new line! thanks for your understanding!
I hope i didnt sound too mean for this haha. i havent come here to update people in a long time. Now that i know theres a new line i’ll be back to update you all as much as possible! Thanks for your business!

I wish there was the same hello kitty 35th anniversary x tokidoki print, but shrunk to a small scale, and covering a denaro a la tokidoki for le sportsac! (obviously with a matching hello kitty qee). Is it just me or does it seem like the designers should read these message boards and design exactly what we want?

Alright folks so apparently there IS a list… But all it is is just a list to contact people to notify em that the products have arrived and can be sold. NO holds will be done. That is an absolute must to ensure fairness for all. A “send sale” will be the option for people not in the bay area. For such, the following information must be faxed or emailed: a copy of the credit card you are using, a photo ID, print out your name, address you want to ship to, and a line saying: I authorize Sanrio to charge my card ____ (amount). CALL in, pick out the items you want, THEN do this faxing/emailing process.
If you have any questions feel free to call us and ask but please refrain from consistant hounding of “are they here yet” I beg of you folks. Haha. Oh, further info about what items we will be getting exactly and quantity list for SF center will be released if company allows me to release such info. Rumor has it that japantown store(our sister store in SF) will also recieve these new tdk x hk items. Their process will probably be the same although I cannot fully speak for them.
