I keep seeing nice Tokidoki bags at Winners too. I just can’t justify a purchase even with the great prices.
Has anyone been to the Tokidoki capsule store in New York. Planning a trip at the end of November and i wonder if its worth including!

Which site were the skullcandy headphones on 50% off with the coupon? The only one I could find them on is the skullcandy site, which doesn’t work, and tokidoki.it, which is sold out. Maybe they’re just gone?
November 7th, 2009 at 4:17 pm
Jenna - The link in my post that says “headphones” takes you to the Skullcandy website, which is where the coupon code was for. However, I just tested it, and it is no longer working - must have expired.
I am going to remove that item from this post now.

253lupe - There are two other stores near the Capsule store that carries Tokidoki. Diztrict at 259 Bleeker st. It carries a small selection of shirts, hoodies, bags, toys. They have most watches. It will usually have what the capsule store doesn’t have. Also YRB at 483 Broadway. They have woman’s shirts and hoodies. Have a nice trip!

Thanks for the info Marie and Gabby. I’ll definitely go to Diztict because i want a watch
And Winners is the Canadian TJ maxx. I’v seen allot of the portafortuna and leo print lately.

DO you guys notice that KARMALOOP keeps raising the prices for the lower quality Tokidoki bags??? The backpack started out at $149 (not worth it) THEN went to $170 and then $180 and NOW the Pegaso backpack is $194. What the heck?!? $194 for that?? no way! I swear there is cardbord in the new material. I dont think I would even buy one on a huge sale….I miss the old bags.

Has anyone seen bags at TJ Maxx lately?
November 8th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
i havent seen them at tj maxx
i wish they would get more in cuz i really want a new one
November 9th, 2009 at 12:25 am
@danielle - I think people here mentioned that Winners is very similar to TJMexx. They got all sort of discounted things like clothing, housewares and bags. Many of those are brand names stuffs.
Last time I checked, Winners have mostly portafortuna and Leo prints right now (lots of Ragazza). The Discoteca bags are mostly gone. Haven’t seen any clothing there lately.

karmaloop is mean! they called up my sis and yelled at her saying they were canceling her order because she was “abusing” a coupon code because we had both placed orders. (we live at the same address) aren’t multiple people with the same last name allowed to live at the same address and like tokidoki? last time i checked it wasn’t illegal… lucky my other sis doesn’t like tokidoki or else maybe they would send ninja assassins after her!

ALL the Tokidoki bags are on clearance at Macys, They had a huge pile of them on a table for like 40% off + 10% extra if you use your Macys card , I talked to the counter girl and she said they were not selling and she doubts they will get any of the newer ones in the future….ouch! I guess we wernt the only ones that didn’t care for them
P.s
Even with the sale I could not bring myself to buy one … I hate the “new” material & prints.
November 12th, 2009 at 7:23 pm
all of them?! even the new prints?!
November 12th, 2009 at 7:27 pm
ok i was just on the macys website and they have some geometric girl bags left. what do u guys like better the sorriso bag or the ragazza bag? what is a better buy? (they are both the same price) i have the serena bag in leo and i love it. is the ragazza bag really similar?
November 15th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
Danielle, the ragazza bag is just like the serena bag, except it’s smaller and (I think) it does not have the long shoulder strap. If you wanted a totally different style, I recommend the sorriso; but if you are really happy with the serena, the ragazza would be ideal when you don’t have as much stuff to carry.

thanks im thinking ill go with the sorriso

Any idea on upcoming Black Friday tkdk sales?
By the way, I finally own a Pegaso media holder (to put cell phone or digital camera in). The fabric feels kinda scratchy and cheap. I ordered it from Karmaloop so I’m pretty sure that it’s legit.
My only other Tkdk bag was ordered from Macy’s…it’s softer, kind of silky. It’s a laptop bag w/rainbow zipper. Any idea why the fabric feels so different on these?
November 25th, 2009 at 1:31 am
I’ve heard that they are using cheaper materials (don’t know if it is true or not) on the Pegaso bags…which is too bad if they are switching from the ripstop fabric….I hope they don’t!!
November 25th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
Hi Kelly,
I went onto the Macy’s website and saw that the laptop bag I ordered is made out of a different fabric than the Pegaso pags. The nicer fabric is poplin, and the scratchy stuff is polyester. I wonder if all the new bags are using polyester? I hope not.
November 25th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Yes, I hope not too! I just ordered one from ebay (after checking out how legit all the bags were of course!) and I really like it. Maybe polyester is cheaper for manufacturing…but it doesn’t seem like the prints out right now are moving quickly in stores…it seems that most are as dissatisfied as you and I about it. I have a friend who is big time into TD. Hopefully, they switch up this season’s prints, zippers, and fabric. It’s what makes the bags unique!
