The newest 2010 tokidoki bag print, Messaggio, is available now at The Giant Peach! Chic Icon in Hawaii has them in-store now as well. I think this print is really cute… lots of favorite characters are making return appearances… and I am liking the black trim much better than pink. Here is a close-up swatch of the print:

It’s “whatever” , Nothing special, I miss the old Tokidoki soo much.
But at least it’s a whole lot less tacky than the last sevral bags :-/
This looks much better than the ones with pink trim. However, if the fabrics were still the same as the pink-trim bags (sorry didn’t wanna spend time looking up the names), I wouldn’t consider buying still.
I really wish they can re-release the Lespostsac line.

Hm.. don’t really like it. Maybe if the font were different. The only thing I like about this is the rainbow stitching, and the black trim, I guess. Sometimes I feel like Simone is whoring the brand out.. doing sooo many collaborations (I mean, it’s great that there is so much, but it’s starting to feel more like quantity rather than quality), and coming out with new bags and designs every other month? I think they need to slow down and take their time.. I miss the old bags. And if they did a LeSportsac release, my head would just about explode.

I have just ordered a Fascino Handbag in Messaggio Print… fingers crossed it will look just as awesome in person! (I’ll let you guys know!) I love this design much more than the previous pink/pastel coloured bags… it looks a lot edgier and grown-up in black. I reeeeeally wanted the wallet as well but sadly I couldn’t afford both! =)
Still no rainbow zipper =( Are these made with the same crappy canvas they’ve been using or have the smartened up and switched back to nylon??? Still love the prints, hate the material.

Deffinetly a step towards the old TKDK but just not there yet (has the almost chaotic feel and I love that their are so many characters) I just don’t like the canvas fabris (hopefully he’ll realize that sooo many people like the old fabric and will change back!!)

@Alexis- I think only select Macys & Nordies carry TKDK at this point, it wasn’t selling well so they dropped the line from many stores, I haven’t seen it at all in a while at Macys or Nordstrom (I live in L.A)
but people have said they have spoted them occasionally!
it’s kinda cute, but I miss the tokidoki for Lesportsac bags oh so much. I’m so upset because the other day my Fumo Bambino fell out of the basket on my bike and I accidentally ran over it, putting three rips in the fabric and ruining the small zipper. I wanted to cry I was so upset. =’(
@ashley, I feel so sorry for you. Any chance of fixing it? Maybe you can use non-stitch fabric glue to fix the ripped fabrics.
I agree with the comments on the overwhelming/chaotic design. It is not too bad but why not just tone it down a bit? For example, I was just thinking the characters can easily be brought out by making the “tokidoki” writings more transparent and less bright…sort of as a dimmer background. Ahhh…just a thought. I am really disappointed with the canvas bags. Wondering if Simone is aware of what the fans discuss on the blogs & forums.

I am not a fan either ! So boring ! I miss the older ” scene ” prints . I don’t think Tokidoki will do any more re-releases as they done that already in Hawaii some time ago . That was your last chance to snap up the older Tokidoki For LeSportSac line .
It was mentioned that someone did in fact ask Simone if he would in fact be re-releasing the older Tokidoki For LeSportSac line and he had replied something to the effect of no . He wanted to keep the production to were it currently stands as he wanted to keep rhose older ansd more sought after prints ” exclusive ” and therefore there are no further plans for any more re=releases of any kind .
On another note I will be attending the signing event in San Francisco on Thursday May the 20th ? Anyone else plan on going ? How early does everyone plan on attending ? This is going to be so exciting ! I can’t wait ! California is sure lucky we got TWO signing events !
I much prefer this to the water colour print.

So sorry about your bag Ashley. Onigiri may be right about fixing it as Nylon ripstop fabrics dont really fray. You may be able to salvage it.

Danielle…actually the nobile is a little bigger with a much shorter strap.
I liked the online pics of this new print but saw it in person today and the material they’re continuing to use just disappoints me
The print just isn’t really clear (like the older prints), the ink just kind of tends to ‘bleed’ or ‘run’ if you know what I mean?
I couldn’t spend the $ on it even though I liked the concept of the print. I’ll just continue to happily use my rainbowed zipper tokidokis!

the strap does can fit over your shoulder and it is adjustable, just not as long as the sorriso (I’ve used my sorriso as an across the body bag).
I hate to say it but I think I’m getting over Tokidoki. I just don’t seem to be getting excited over it anymore :S
This has probably been said before, but they’re totally recycling a lot of the illustrations lately, making product designs around those same illustrations. I’ve seen all of these a ton of times over; they’re nice, but I’m ***dying*** to see something completely new. Is Simone really designing these bags himself? Or are other designers just taking his illustrations and making the designs? =\
Do the 2010 Messaggio Print tokidoki Bags still have the riri M6 on the underside of the zipperhead? Do ALL of the authentic tokidoki bags still have this on ALL of their main compartment zipperheads? Was this discontinued if so when?

I can’t confirm this but my Portafortuna bag still has riri M6 underneath the zipperheads. So I’m guessing all the tokidoki bags still have the same zippers even though they stopped their collaboration with Lesportsac.
Okay, sorry for the double post.
I just realized that some monochrome bags don’t have riri M6 underneath the zipperheads or rainbow zippers at all. o_o Apparently the Stellina Nera doesn’t.. Sorry about my previous post! Now I have absolutely no idea what zippers tokidoki bags are supposed to have.
The new bags have way LESS pattern to the way they’re made. Kind of all over the place. Just have to do a lot of research and look at pics, but remember that many pics in the image gallery of google are also fake.
