A federal grand jury indicts 10 local individuals involved in a scheme to sell stolen LeSportsac bags on ebay. By year’s end, most have either entered guilty pleas or been convicted at trial. The exception is Brandi N. Chambers, whose indictment was dismissed from the docket in September by U.S. District Judge Amul R. Thapar. Brandon Theodore Stephens, Christy M. Baird was sentenced to 17 months in prison and three years supervised release. Bonnie L. Lay, Sandra K. Kidd, Misty Lynn Williams were sentenced to five years probation. The defendants must also pay more than $48,000 in restitution.
Stolen or counterfeit?
Wow, scary stuff.. People will do anything to earn an extra buck. I wonder where they stole them from. I doubt they were counterfeit because there are so many counterfeit tokidoki stuff on ebay and other countries.. and sometimes even swap meets in the US.. Sounds like they stole legit Lesportsac..wonder how many of them were tokidoki.
