Friday, February 20th, 2009The full line of the new tokidoki bags in the Leo, Matita, and Ombra (solid black) prints are up now in the tokidoki.it store.
Also in the tokidoki.it store are 3 varieties of jumbo tokidoki for Hello Kitty plushes, each limited to 200 pieces per character (thanks Ashley for the heads up!). They are super-cute and retail for $98 each.
And for those of you who are lucky enough to be able to check out this Taiwan exclusive, the tokidoki.it blog announced that tokidoki collaborated with Levi’s for Valentine’s Day in Taiwan. (Thanks Puasmommy for telling me first!)

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009Reader Jenny just let me know that Vinyl Pulse reported that STRANGEco will be releasing Adios and Ciao Ciao plush toys soon!
Each plushie will be 9″ tall, and the expected release date is late February or early March.

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008The Giant Peach has a bunch of tokidoki items from past seasons on sale – two pages worth, check pages 2 and 3 when you follow the link. I am extremely tempted by the LP Vinile Watch, Orange but I need to be good until Christmas!
I also noticed that Trendy Stars added a new tokidoki Toys and Plush page to their store and is now also carrying the range of available tokidoki toys too. By stalking their rainboots page I also see that the release date has been pushed back a bit to November, but the wait should be over soon!
Infrequent Posting Alert Until August
Monday, July 14th, 2008It’s that time of year again – my summertime Infrequent Posting Alert. As you may have already noticed, I am going to be slower than usual with posting and responding to e-mails and comments for the month of July, so please don’t think I am ignoring you if my responses take forever until next month.
Onto some catching up…
- The Giant Peach has the Mozzarella and Sandy plush dolls in stock now. They added the tokidoki Miao vinyl toy as well. Lynn also let me know that there are a bunch of the tokidoki plush on eBay.
- The tokidoki for Ride collaboration items are starting to pop up in stores – Jessica found them on IskiShop.
- Jessica also sent me a bunch of photos (below) of toys that will be released at SDCC this month – tokidoki for Onitsuka tiger vinyl toys, a platinum Bulleto, platinum cactus friends, and platinum pups! Joslyn let me know about these items too, and Bridget contributed additional photos of the tokidoki tokyoplast

Sandy and Mozzarella Plush Dolls: Reprise
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008The elusive Sandy and Mozzarella plush dolls are back once again with a slightly altered look from their original prototype photos.
Looking even more cute-n-cuddly this time around, they are once again resurfacing for pre-order with an expected release date of June 2008. Each plush toy is 9 inches tall and will retail for $20.

Pool Trade Show Pictures – Including New Product Sneak Peaks!
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008Thank you to Leah for pointing out that tokidoki just posted pictures from the Pool Trade show to their blog – including sneak peeks at some new t-shirt designs (I see popcorn guy!!), hats, toys (including the Sandy and Mozzarella plush dolls once again, and if you bump your screen resolution up to 800×600 and look closely you’ll also see a black Skeletrino and a purple Skeletrina), sneaker-boots, jewelry, and BAGS. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see at least three different prints (Carnival and Concerto Punk, I believe, plus the new solid black) and a few different bag styles. One photo also shows the new Adios keychain design.
Rumor Confirmed: There WILL Be a New Line of tokidoki Bags Coming Soon
Monday, February 11th, 2008Many thanks to Saki for sending me a link to an interview with Simone at JoshSpear.com that includes all sorts of exciting info, including confirmation that there definitely will be a new line of bags branded only as tokidoki – “but made by same people behind LeSportsac; same team, same factories.”

Other exciting news, all lifted from the interview: the next cactus friends toy released will be the cactus punk character! That will be a must have for me. Also coming soon are “tokidoki denim in Europe; the two cats of adios and ciao ciao called Skeletrino and Skeletrina; a new line of New Era hats; mimobots; plushes; new lines of watches, jewelry, and other cool stuff.”
ANNNDD – there are plans to open a tokidoki store in the USA in 2009. Simone is “looking for a location.”

Monday, October 15th, 2007Reader Diana took some cellphone photos of the plush toys at the tokidoki signing at Yoyamart – as you will see, the Mozzarella plush doll, which was originally due to be released back in February, has resurfaced. The Mozzarella plush is now slated to be released in early November, and, if Vinyl Splatter’s dates are accurate, the long-lost Sandy plush doll should also be released at the end of this month!

Saturday, February 10th, 2007According to STRANGEco, the release date for the Tokidoki Sandy and Moofia Mozzarella plush dolls has been delayed again. They will now be available sometime in the spring, with no definite date annouced yet.
