Thank you to Leah for pointing out that tokidoki just posted pictures from the Pool Trade show to their blog - including sneak peeks at some new t-shirt designs (I see popcorn guy!!), hats, toys (including the Sandy and Mozzarella plush dolls once again, and if you bump your screen resolution up to 800×600 and look closely you’ll also see a black Skeletrino and a purple Skeletrina), sneaker-boots, jewelry, and BAGS. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see at least three different prints (Carnival and Concerto Punk, I believe, plus the new solid black) and a few different bag styles. One photo also shows the new Adios keychain design.

Many thanks to Saki for sending me a link to an interview with Simone at JoshSpear.com that includes all sorts of exciting info, including confirmation that there definitely will be a new line of bags branded only as tokidoki - “but made by same people behind LeSportsac; same team, same factories.”

Other exciting news, all lifted from the interview: the next cactus friends toy released will be the cactus punk character!  That will be a must have for me.  Also coming soon are “tokidoki denim in Europe; the two cats of adios and ciao ciao called Skeletrino and Skeletrina; a new line of New Era hats; mimobots; plushes; new lines of watches, jewelry, and other cool stuff.”

ANNNDD - there are plans to open a tokidoki store in the USA in 2009.  Simone is “looking for a location.”

More new tokidoki items have surfaced! Trendy Stars has a new black & gold version of the LA Guns/Bullets watch up.

It retails for $145, and is replacing the brown and silver version of this watch, which is now discontinued. Trendy Stars has the red momobella watch and the brown nurse watch on sale for $99 each too.

Ashley also pointed out to me that the tokidoki.it store just added two cute New Era hats for girls. They are $35 each.

Karmaloop just added some new tokidoki Fall 2007 and Holiday 2007 tees, thermals, and sweaters. They also put some more of their older tokidoki clothing, jewelery, and hats on sale.

The Giant Peach added a whole bunch of new stuff recently - tokidoki for Smashbox makeup, new tokidoki skate decks, jewelery, hats, pin packs, and the Bruttino & Carina vinyl toys. (I hope that means that my pre-order from Panik’s Toy Box will be arriving soon! I can’t wait to get them!)

Tobi added tokidoki vinyl toys to their selection, and they have Vacanze denaros back in stock again. They also put a couple of tokidoki clothing items on sale. I asked if they are going to be adding any Holiday 2007 tokidoki clothing soon and they said yes.

The tokidoki.it online store added new posters (I ♥ the Hell poster), stickers, skate decks, and t-shirts from past seasons. Their t-shirt page also now features Simone decked out in tokidoki gear, including tokidoki PANTS!

I am very excited that it looks like my wish for toki pants is going to come true.

1. Reader leslie reports that the LeSportsac outlet in Seattle still has some second generation original print bags in stock. She recalls them having (as of 3 days ago) the canguro, portatelefono, bocce, bambino, and a luna still in stock. The hardware is silver instead of green and blue, and they come with the white tokidoki qee instead of Meomi or Dalek. They do not help with print placement, but they do ship!

2. JapanLA has new tokidoki t-shirts in stock that are softer, more fitted, and more expensive ($44 each) than the regular t-shirts. They have large graphics both on the front and back, and a new tokidoki tag sewed on the sleeve. I saw that tokidoki.it has gotten a makeover (thanks, Jenn!) - I like the new look better than the old one. There are also a bunch of new Tokidoki x New Era hats coming out in July, and I like a whole bunch of them. I have been very good with not buying much lately since I am trying to save money, but Tokidoki makes it so hard!

Does anyone own this hat?

I have been admiring it for some time now, but I also tend to have a problem with buying way too many hats that I *think* I am going to wear and then wear like once or twice. This one looks so cute though… if anyone has it, can you post a picture of you wearing it or e-mail one in? I want to see what it looks like on an actual person to decide. And is the color more olive or green in person?

JapanLA just got the line of tokidoki x New Era hats for girls int today - they are $35 each and super-cute! I especially like the 3 hats in the top row - the green cammo print one would match my t-shirt with the same print perfectly. ♥
