More European tokidoki Bags + Valentine’s Day Qees

Reader Tara d. recently let me know that she found some additional websites that sell European exclusive tokidoki bags, including the shiny metallic heart & crossbones bag that some of us were wondering about the authenticity of awhile back. Odd World in the UK sold blue and pink versions of the metallic tokidoki bag (which confirms its authenticity – although it is now sold out). Tara has one of the pink metallic bags listed on eBay. MilkSugar out of Germany has a larger selection of European tokidoki bags (many of which are on sale right now). I have also been getting a lot of e-mails about Chicki in the UK recently, so I will give them another mention since they have only been previously posted about in the comments.

Also, for those of you who enjoy collecting unique qees to add to your tokidoki bags (like me!), ambersdad let me know that Panik’s Toy Box just added a limited edition Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Bear qee twin pack that are really cute & just in time for V-day. I’m thinking about getting them for a L’Amore bag.

Meomi Qees!

Reader Heather just wrote to let me know that she discovered that Meomi has a website called meomi cloud house. It is seriously one of the coolest, cutest websites ever. AND – they are selling 2″ and 8″ Powder Cat Meomi for LeSportsac qees (the ones that came attached to some of the first season tokidoki bags), for $15 and $80 respectively! There are also some other really cute toys for sale in their online store, plus free downloads and animations. I just downloaded the January 2008 desktop.

New Adios Qee is Not a Qee After All

This just in from tokidoki: the Adios keychain on the newest LeSportsac bags is not a qee but rather a tokidoki keychain. Toy2R is no longer making qees for tokidoki for LeSportsac. So in case Adios didn’t look very qee-like to you: that’s why.

White Version of tokidoki 8″ Sahara Qee to be Released in October 2007

Toy2R will be released a white version of the tokidoki 8″ Sahara Qee in October 2007. The qee will be limited to 500 pieces and will retail for $64.

Melissa’s Pictures from SDCC

Reader Melissa sent in a bunch of pictures to share from her trip to the San Diego Comic-Con – featuring her loot (prepare to be jealous!!) and Simone doing signings at the tokidoki booth.

Closeup of a Real Tokidoki Qee vs. a Decent Fake Qee

An anonymous reader was nice enough to send in this photo showing the most convincing of the fake Tokidoki qees right above a real Tokidoki qee for comparison.

If you look closely, you can spot a number of differences:

1. The real qee has a red star on its left arm, and the fake one does not.

2. The real qee has a thicker, smoother keyring than the fake qee does.

3. The yellow stripe in the rainbow on the fake qee’s chest is much wider.

4. The real qee has black marks on its left ear, and the fake qee does not.

5. The real qee has a pink heart on it’s left cheek, and the fake qee does not.
