It’s that time of year again - my summertime Infrequent Posting Alert. As you may have already noticed, I am going to be slower than usual with posting and responding to e-mails and comments for the month of July, so please don’t think I am ignoring you if my responses take forever until next month.

Onto some catching up…

• The Giant Peach has the Mozzarella and Sandy plush dolls in stock now. They added the tokidoki Miao vinyl toy as well. Lynn also let me know that there are a bunch of the tokidoki plush on eBay.
• The tokidoki for Ride collaboration items are starting to pop up in stores - Jessica found them on IskiShop.
• Jessica also sent me a bunch of photos (below) of toys that will be released at SDCC this month - tokidoki for Onitsuka tiger vinyl toys, a platinum Bulleto, platinum cactus friends, and platinum pups! Joslyn let me know about these items too, and Bridget contributed additional photos of the tokidoki tokyoplastic geisha that will also be released at SDCC.

Reader Caty just let me know that she was at STCC (Singapore Toy and Comic Convention) this past weekend for Simone Legno’s appearance. She took some video and photos of him performing a live art demo and wanted to share them with us.

Alert for Those Who Received Their tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger Orders This Week
For those of you who are upset that you didn’t receive the Tiger Toy in the box along with your tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger orders this week, good news. Onitsuka Tiger accidentally left them out of the boxes, but tokidoki let me know that they will be shipping a Tiger Toy to everyone that bought the shoes via the tokidoki.it website at once.

Trendy Stars just let me know that they added the tokidoki for Hello Kitty plush toys to their shop (and they ship internationally for those of you not in the USA!).

The Hawaii tokidoki Bag Print Re-Release Plot Thickens
Ku`uipo let me know that the SAs at the LeSportsac store in Ala Moana re-confirmed that Spiaggia re-release is later this month. They also said that Famiglia will be re-released in July in limited bag styles, and Trasporto will be re-released in August. (Take this info with a grain of salt, since there are so many conflicting rumors about the re-releases out there right now!) The Ala Moana SAs also said that they will NOT be carrying the new line of 2008 tokidoki bags.

Tobi just updated with a few items from the summer tokidoki nautical collection, plus a good selection of watches (including styles that may have sold out before some of us could get their hands on them!).

The Sanrio online store has a big selection of tokidoki for Hello Kitty items up now, including some that I haven’t seen elsewhere yet outside of ebay. Thanks to Linda for the tip.

Lashonne let me know about two new tokidoki beach towels that she found on Yoox: one style for women and one for men. The photos don’t show much of the designs, but here are the little tidbits that they do show:

Alyson just pointed out in the comments that there is a list of where the tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger sneakers will be sold available now. Click the white tiger in the upper right of the page for the list.

Erina let me know that Metropark put some tokidoki and tokidoki for Hello Kitty t-shirts on sale.

tokidoki Bag Print Re-Release Updates

We now have a contact from the RHSC LeSportsac in Hawaii to keep us updated about what is going on with the upcoming print re-releases! I am therefore encouraging everyone to keep checking the tokidoki print re-releases category of this blog for the latest news rather than calling the poor folks at the Hawaii LeSportsac stores repeatedly.

The latest update: the re-release of Spiaggia in June is CONFIRMED. The final two re-releases are still unconfirmed, which accounts for the conflicting info floating around. The only confirmed info about them right now is that the final re-releases will take place in September and November and will be based on which prints sold the best in Hawaii.

I have a bunch of backed-up small updates that I am going to cram into this post:

• The Giant Peach received their shipment of Women’s Spring II tokidoki clothing this week, including some new items that we haven’t seen anywhere else yet (on pages 2 & 3) - check it out & don’t forget to take advantage of the exclusive 20% off sale for Tokidoki Blog readers.
• Lindsey from the Southhampton LeSportsac outlet posted a list of slight imperfections tokidoki bags that are on clearance there. The outlet contact info is in that linked post if you scroll up.
• So that comments like the one I just linked to above don’t get overlooked in the future, I changed the setup of the sidebar at the right of this blog to include a Recent Comments list. Is this helpful? Is 7 recent comments a good number or too many/not enough?
• I have received the unfortunate news that the European clothing imports that were supposed to have been available in the USA this fall have been canceled.
• Photos of the tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger sneakers have been released - thanks to Bridget for pointing this out! I think they’re cute - which apparently puts me in the “only tokidoki fans and children” category.
• Happy Six in Los Angeles received a shipment of Citta and Citta Rosa (!!) tokidoki bags this week. They are going fast. Thanks to Tara d. for the tip.

Reader Bridget just found a pair of tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger Boots on eBay! They are super-cute (and expensive, of course!), and the auction description says that only 150 pairs of them have been distributed.

I think my wallet is lucky that I am not a size 9!  I wonder if this means that more from this collaboration is soon to follow..

Thank you to Leah for pointing out that tokidoki just posted pictures from the Pool Trade show to their blog - including sneak peeks at some new t-shirt designs (I see popcorn guy!!), hats, toys (including the Sandy and Mozzarella plush dolls once again, and if you bump your screen resolution up to 800×600 and look closely you’ll also see a black Skeletrino and a purple Skeletrina), sneaker-boots, jewelry, and BAGS. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see at least three different prints (Carnival and Concerto Punk, I believe, plus the new solid black) and a few different bag styles. One photo also shows the new Adios keychain design.

I’m back again for a few days and catching up on tokidoki news, comments, and e-mails (check my Infrequent Posting Alert if you haven’t seen it yet). Here is a run-down of updates:

1. The tokidoki for LeSportsac Web site has finally been updated, and they have both Tutti and Trasporto bags for sale online now! It appears that the official spelling of the Trasporto print does not include an “N” after all. The inventory that they have shows that the Bella, Braccialetto, Bocce and Corriere styles are no longer available. Caramella and Mamma Mia style bags will only be available in Hawaii and Guam for the last 3 prints. There is also one new bag style - the Avventura. I tried the Avventura on at Macy’s, and it is HUGE. Readers have also spotted Trasporto bags on eBay and at A. Okay Official in Chicago, and JapanLA reported that they have their shipment of Trasporto bags in now too.

2. The Southampton LeSportsac outlet is having a Labor Day Sale: 40% off all tokidoki bags for ONE day only, which is TODAY (Monday, September 3rd)!

3. The upcoming tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger colaboration that I first posted about in this SDCC post and this SDCC post has been confirmed on both the tokidoki and Onitsuka Tiger Web sites, and we can expect two collections of sneaker designs per year for the next two years, beginning in May 2008.

4. Reader Leigh reported that a Macy’s store near Atlantic City, NJ has Pirata and Bianco print tokidoki bags on sale for 50% off in an unmarked sale, so check your local Macy’s to see if they are offering the same deal.

5. The Fall 2007 line of tokidoki clothing is out at all of the stores now. Karmaloop has 5 new pieces of tokidoki clothing up now, and they are 20% off if you use Karmaloop coupon code SR426 in the Rep Code field at checkout. I’m kicking myself for not waiting to get the lattes and moofia all-over print tee from them!

6. Photos of a Vacanze Avventura and a Vacanze Zucca have been found on Giant Peach News.

Reader Melissa sent in a bunch of pictures to share from her trip to the San Diego Comic-Con - featuring her loot (prepare to be jealous!!) and Simone doing signings at the tokidoki booth.

This update is a combination of a report from SDCC from reader Ashley (who also took the photo below!) and a comment from bribri: There is going to be a collaboration between tokidoki and Onitsuka Tiger - a new shoe design that will be released in Spring 2008.

Ashley also reports that all of the special edition platinum Adios and Ciao Ciao toys are sold out already. And for those of you who can still make it to SDCC, Ashley was nice enough to type up the pricelist of everything that is for sale at the tokidoki booth for us!! She said there are no new items for sale, only items that we have all seen before. Here is the list:
